09/13/2014 Business Suit Doc Ock

As soon as I saw the Deadly Foes set, I knew I wanted to make a Business Suit Octavius. I was originally going to use a Kingpin body, but Luke's bonus stickers made me rethink that idea (also the body looked way too big)

I cut the mechanical arm attachments off of Deadly Foes Doc, painted them silver and glued them to the back of George McFly's jacket.

03/23/2014 Aliens Power Loader

Pieced together with Legos, the "hands" rotate, shoulders & elbows are articulated and the rollcage swings up and down. I made articulation in the legs but it didn't really add to the build, so I scrapped it.

This is one group custom I've been very slowly working on for about a year and a half! Not too much that hasn't already been done before, but I don't think I've seen Spock in the Vulcan robe before (I grew up on Star Trek IV so I HAD to make that Spock )

Body - Universal Monsters Dr. Henry Frankenstein (With a 25th GI Joe Storm Shadow belt tie attached and a little paint on the chest)

The rest of the figures are just an Admiral Kirk or Scotty body with a different head and some painted highlights

Here's the reason I started collecting Minimates....Dr. Who customs! A friend who's been collecting Minimates for a while now convinced me of how easy it would be to make minimate customs for Dr. Who. I found once I started, I couldn't stop.....this was supposed to just be the 3 Doctors, it's now at 10 figures total! I've tried to make these just parts swaps with no alterations, but I had to paint two hair pieces.

Thanks! I'm probably not doing any of the previous doctors as I really don't know them as much. The 9th Doctor was my first one. I'm just now going back and checking out some of the earlier series.

I've started on a few other movie customs that aren't quite finished, but I got a John McClaine put together:

Batman's ears might have gotten a little long on me but I still like how he turned out. I've been working on the whole set for a little while and unfortunately didn't write down the exact parts I used while making the figures so I don't remember what half of the plain black parts are

Thanx guys! Two of the 3 Blight pictures are glow in the dark pics (with the help of a blacklight) The only photoshopping I did on any of the pictures is the names and red background lines with a shadow gradient over the figures in the named pics.

Been over a year since I posted a custom in here. I need to finish up one custom I've been slowly working on, but in the meantime, here's a quick Invisible Man. I was happy to find that the Cobra Viper goggles slid right over the minimate head and stay in place with no problem
