buttheadsmate
As you may know Joe Frazier has just died from cancer. You won't know that in my ignorance I spent much of my teens believing that I detested the guy purely because of the fact that I idolised his nemesis Muhammad Ali . Fortunately I have had the opportunity to subsequently realise how great a boxer Joe Frazier was & how stupid I must have been to not realise . Goodbye Joe you will always be a champion . Bob Harris
My grandpa really loves boxing and one of his best stories is when he and some other family members and friends gathered at his place and stayed up all night to watch the first fight between those two athelts live on tv in the early 70s. I was never really interressted in boxing at all, but I do know a little bit about Joe, so R.I.P.

hellpop
Let me just say, it was not a good weekend for sports here in the state of Pennsylvania. Not good at all.

Mirymate
Smokin' Joe Fraiser... a good man and a great boxer who unfortunately will be remembered as the villain of the greatest boxing rivalry of all time. I was too young for remember the first two happening, but the first sporting event I remember watching was the Thilla in Minilla... probably because the name sounded funny to my little kid brain. Even if he was the "other guy", he will always be one of the greatest in the history of his sport. Rest in peace.
