When you put it that way it almost sounds silly.
I wish I could have some hope that Marvel will be able to pull this off successfully, but their recent record with big events leaves me pretty dubious about their chances. The costume changes don't exactly inspire confidence either, so far they seem to range from mediocre to awful.
Does anyone else find it funny that "All New X-Men" will be featuring the time-traveling original X-men? I think that says something about the industry as a whole.
Wow, it's like Marvel is trying to get me to stop buying comics altogether. And the new costumes are awful. What's the world coming to when movie Thor has a cape but comic Thor doesn't?
I voted for Emma too, completely on accident. That poll page is very poorly designed.
I find myself hoping the Phoenix designs and Iron Man win so that I won't be tempted to pick this set up at all.
Yes, the photo is MvC Hulk and Smart Hulk mixed together and it accurately shows what they look like in-hand. If there's any difference in color between the two it's so slight that it would be nearly impossible to notice.
So we get to pay inflated exclusive prices for what should have been Wave 44 to begin with? Awesome. I understand the need for duplication, but if this was from any other company I wouldn't hesitate to call it a blatant cash grab.
You guys are right, after looking at the MMDB again it's not a Cavil hairpiece and it certainly looks like the one from Doral. I never paint minimates, so it's definitely a production piece, but I don't have a clue where it came from.
I'm pretty sure I mentioned Mass Effect 2 in the past, but after playing about 3/4 of the way through Mass Effect 3 I'd really love to see 'mates from the game. Since 3 features most of the significant characters from the series you could easily get three waves or more from the license. The first wave could look something like this:
N7 Armor Shepard (Male) / Husk
Garrus / Liara
Vega (Armor) / Kaidan (Armor)
Admiral Hackett / Ashley Williams (Armor)
It sure looks like the torso from the Wave 43 Spider-Man will fit with this set perfectly, so all of you who hate that chest piece should be in good shape.
You say this like it's a bad thing.
I agree with battlecat that it's the reduced arm tampos that really detract from the Spider-man 'mates, the leg tampos are less noticeable. I can understand the cost issues, it's just tough since it shows up so often because of the character.
