Have Hawkguy and Spock so far but only opened the Spock pack so far. Superior Spidey came out very well, and his eyes are fine. Love the series and was really looking forward to that one. Electro.. wow. Not that familiar with Ultimate Electro but looks like modern comic/ Ultimate Spiderman cartoon version. He's just awesome, so well done the way he was executed. Really a standout figure in my opinion.

Sounds like an awesome wave, low on civilians. Don't mind no army builder, prefer 8 different ones. Do wonder what's going on with TRU though. Don't always pick up the movie figures but this character selection sounds really good. Anyone have any idea what Batroc will look like?

It's amazing too how few of these are online. For those who were around, how do the p5 and sw sets compare to the difficulty of finding Hulkbuster and the two Angels? I know those were very difficult. These are definitely the biggest pain since I started a year and a half or so ago. It's funny, really only wanted the Sauron and maybe the SW sets but the fact I can't find them makes me want the others much more. Have the Wolvie set and passed up on the Hulk set once, which I now regret! Wasn't too excited about getting another Wolverine but love the figure, the claws are a huge improvement. Sauron is great (I know it's a 'Reaper,' but I don't know what that is!) I too have this feeling at some point the stores will be flooded with them. Really starting to wonder though.

So, any word on when these are coming out? Can't wait to get my hands on that Superior Spider-Man!

I disagree strongly. Cap wears a mask and Cap has always worn a mask the entire time I've been reading up until 08 or whenever the Commander Rogers stuff started. He wears a mask and red, white and blue colors and it is what it is! I want real wings on the mask too, not this painted on crap. It's not that I dislike the Commander Rogers look cause I don't.. it's a good alternate look. But I wanna see the Cap I grew up with in the movies.

I would get it from TRU but they only had the Cap/SW set up for less than one day this month (was gone in hours) and the Emma/ Colossus for a few days. Luke had only the SW and Hulk sets and is now sold out of SW. It's rough! In Queens NY I NEVER had trouble like this. Have only been checking one TRU lately but never had to check more. Zach, is there a reason TRU this wave is so hard to find? Were they produced in the same quantities of others?

So YOU'RE the one LOL. Saw on the board that they were there but the same day Prowlar wrote the message (thanks), Cap was gone by 9:30 pm when I went to order. For what it's worth someone from TRU customer service told me they're supposed to re-stock online in 2 and a half weeks.

I'd be cool with a 2099 Spidey in a two-pack, doesn't have to be a boxset, just need that Spidey. If there was a 2099 boxset though I'd definitely buy it, like the first day. Would also love a 2099 doom, hulk, ghost rider. Yeah Zach I'll live without having a Ravage, I remember enjoying it but don't remember much about it. Not the best character design also. Was glad Stan was writing again though. So there are still lots of variants left to be made, maybe soon? A few I'd wanna see would be the legendary Cap-Wolf, Spider-Hulk, Albert half-cyborg Wolverine, Weapon X Wolverine (shocked he hasn't been done yet!) Yeah Kostis, loving Superior! Haven't followed Spidey in new issues in years (mid-90s) but I'm all in on Spock. Was REALLY opposed to the concept when I heard about it but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Funny how at works out, was the same with Winter Soldier when I heard about that originally and these 2 stories are probably my favorites of the last decade or so. Shows how good writing can elevate a possibly questionable concept. Love seeing how Spock handles situations differently than Peter and how others react to him. Also his arrogance can be very entertaining, like Walter White that may be his undoing. As far as Ock himself I know most would now consider Goblin the top Spidey villain, but growing up in the 80s and early 90s it was definitely Ock. Norman Osborne had been gone for years when I started reading and Harry in Spec was great but Ock was that guy. Remember too that Ock was the first villain to ever defeat Spidey in the earliest issues. Spidey Ock is a muIti-layered, entertaining character. I was so pissed initially but now I'm actually dreading Pete coming back! Wave 51 Spock arrived today btw, can't wait to open it! X-Men 2099: Cerebra, Skullfire, Krystalin, Lunatica, Meanstreak, Xian, Serpentina, and Metalhead. X-Nation: Wulff, Nostromo, December, Willow, Uproar, Clarion, and Sister Nicholas and the Sisters of the Howling Commandments. I know I'm missing a few members in there but that's off the top of my head without looking any up. While I agree that some of the storytelling wasn't stellar many of the characters have looks that would make wonderful figures. Still they're about as likely to be made as an Adam X The Extreme and Gideon pack. Lunatica? Nostromo? The Howling Commandments? Those are some names dude, LOL

So i was going over some old comics and Ock turned from obese to classy around the 90s. I'd love a white suit Ock (i'll probably mod one with this boxset) and a Stunner. It's just quite strange seeing how his "classic" look is the tubby one whereas in his first appereance he was quite normal and after the 90s he ranged from slim to buff. I'll say it again, a Superior wave would be great! Seeing as how the series will probably end around next April, a wave with a new Black Cat (a much, much needed redo) and Cardiac would be more than great. The wave practically builds itself! Spidey with backpack/Black Cat Urich Hobgoblin (with parts to turn into kingsley hob)/Cardiac Kaine/minion ben reily/minion TRU: Stunner/ Shocker Boomerang/Vulture Scorpion/Beetle Speed demon/hydro man Would love a Superior wave, really enjoying the comics. I'm usually into older stuff and was initially opposed to the concept but it is very well done. Picked up the newest one on last month, had to go back and read every one - I'm hooked. I would flip out over that wave,especially the double Hobgoblin. They can also include an updated Spidey 2099 and Scarlet Spider, that new costume is really cool. Know DST loves Spidey variants, and so do I! Can't wait for that TRU 17 also.

I still see the Galactus set at lots of TRU, had to have been 15 of them in Times Square.

I've been waiting forever for a Deathlok minimate, starting to think though if we didn't get him with Cyborg Spidey though then we never will. You never know though! Is he used a lot lately in the comics? (Another 80's/90s guy here)

What's the deal with these and TRU in general? Why are they so hard to find? I'm in Queens NY and have never had so much trouble finding a wave before, not even close. Found Wolvie/ Sauron and IM/Hulk sets in Times Square but my local TRU just got a brand new shipment of the FF wave? Why? I hope they don't linger here, if they do I hope they know why. Also there were some IM 3 sets and a First Class Emma/Havoc that's been there since I started collecting.

Similar in the sense that there will be as lot of sculpted parts. Can't wait to see the pics.

It seems as if they are going in that direction anyway with recent mates like the ones you mentioned along with Commander Rogers and the upcoming purple Venom with black costume Spider underneath, doing it on characters that are feasible. Some characters will struggle to sell one way or another whether they have an alternate look or not I think. The key to marketing these characters is probably teaming the obscure characters with well-known ones. I love getting the obscure characters, great thing about the line.

Cool topic. Hard to choose with so many great ones.. thing transforming - great mate, great representation of the character. Has been right by on me on bookshelf since I opened the package nightcrawler excalibur - such a well done mate, just perfect. Great base too dd wave 43 - perfectly done hulk mega rage - first one I got stilt man - so unique, stands out spider sense spider-man - love the spidey sense. Really like classic too dark phoenix - put with rachel summers' base, looks great moon knight - was very glad I found him for a good price, such a cool looking character carnage - got him recently, such detail rhino - very well executed mate honorable mention: thor kirby firelord venom unleashed sentinel silver surfer herald

Can't wait for this set, looks really good. Someone said they finally got Carnage a few weeks ago? I got mine at NYCC a DAY before the reveal ha ha. Great mate, I imagine the new one will be similar to Venom Unleashed? The new Doc Ock sounds cool, the old one really needed a re-do. I wonder if there will be any two-packs to accompany it? Know Spidey villains pretty covered but they are all expensive on the secondary market and mates have gotten more well-done as the years go on. Ones that could be good choices would be Hobgoblin and Hydro Man to name a a couple. Could also use a classic Beetle, Puma and Prowler but know those may be unlikely!

I will definitely buy the set but I am surprised by the choice, this will be my third cannonball. Do need Cable and Domino though, was never able to get a hold of those. Shatterstar is a weird design but will probably look pretty cool as a mate. If we are going 90s like many others I would have liked to see an X-Factor set but who would be the anchor, Havoc? I
