  1. I honestly wouldn't mind if Medusa's hair took the second spot in a Medusa two-pack.
  2. You're probably right about never getting a team that big, and with everything else, I completely agree. While the 2008 team is my favorite, I'd take about any iteration. It's odd that DST has neglected such a popular group.
  3. DnA GotG is high on my want list. But Groot is always the same? I don't know about that. I'd like him with a very branchy head and a nice GotG uniform. GotG would need more than a 4-Pack too. Peter, Mantis (droooool), Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot, Bug, Phyla-Vell, Moondragon, Adam Warlock, Cosmo, Jack Flag, Vance Astro, and a bonus Captain Universe in the pre-GotG uniform.
  4. Drax and Taskmaster are the big winners here for me. I like this animated sub line a lot more than I thought I would. I haven't seen the show, but these Dark Avengers makes me wish that we had gotten more of the Justice Lords.
  5. Colossus in his Bianchi Astonishing costume would be ok by me, and it would kinda make sense with the movie. I have no idea what is and isn't A list material though. Marvel Girl would be the absolute bees knees.
  6. I'm looking forward to the mates. They look great. So fat, I'm enjoying season 2 more than season 1. I'd love a Maniax set with Jerome, Helzinger, Greenwood, and Barbara in their black and whites. Right now Bullock and Fish are the most notable absences, though, and I love Bullock in this show. Gotta have him.
  7. I enjoyed the episode. Two complaints: (1) I'm not totally on board with Jim's bad thing and (2) I don't completely understand the absolutely insane storyline that has been Barbara's. The whole thing has just been a bit too much for me. But she knows how to make an awesome prison dress, so she's got that going for her.
  8. I grabbed the GotG and Spidey 2099/Agent Venom sets this week. I swapped out Star-lord's legs with the movie version, and he is pretty much perfect. Miguel and Venom are both pretty great. The QC on mine are spectacular. No stuck parts or joints. Clean paint apps. I was worried after the Axis wave. Bravo, DST.
  9. Everything about it holds up to me. The only thing about the old DVDs (which I still have) was that those crappy boxes would wear down on the inside and the flaps would get in the way so you couldn't slide the dvd case back in. Frustrating as heck. I told my wife about X-files minimates, and she immediately started wishlisting. It's pretty likely I'll be but doubles of whatever is released.
  10. Holy moly! This is, like, the best Minimate news that could possibly come. Seriously. Bravo, DST, for completely renewing my waning interest.
  11. Aw, that sucks. I've been waiting to hear about the 3 3/4 Black series. I guess this is better than no new decent 3 3/4 SW, but Walmart is the worst. In other news, I bit the bullet and ordered all of the Lego sets from Amazon.
  12. There have been quite a few Caps with brown straps on gloves. Commander Rogers, both Caps from CA2, and AoU Cap all have the brown hand plus strap. Then a few Caps have a red glove cuff with brown straps on it. I know Cap Reborn, MvC Cap, and Fighting Chance Cap have that strapped cuff. If you mean what shields had brown painted on the back... I think most of the movie versions do. Not sure about comic versions.
  13. These look very neat. I'm glad to see the neat alternate heads that come with all of these Spidey's. Love em. I definitely plan to pick these up.
  14. Last night I finally managed to get Falcap's hands and cuffs off only to find that the wing with shield peg is too small to fit on his arm. Boiling it should work, but the amount of work I've had to put into this figure... frustrating.
  15. I really don't understand the 5 poa on the 3 3/4 line. This is the toy line that has always been at the forefront of 3 3/4 toys. I might grab some of the Black figures. If the kiddos want them, I'll get some of the 3 3/4 figures. I'll probably get all of the LEGO sets. Why in this day and age LEGO minifigs have more articulation than a 3 3/4 line is beyond me.
  16. Found Banner/WM in Memphis. No animated mates at that particular store.
  17. Drooling over that dream wave.
  18. Our tastes must differ. But my dislike for Kluh aside, I enjoy this wave and can live with the minor qc issues. I honestly wouldn't mind if DST were to resist the story line again later. Wasn't the best story, but it makes for some fun minimate pairings. Word.
  19. Magneto it was. I'm aware of that Magneto, but it's not the same. Because I don't "just want a white Magneto." I want an accurate modern Magneto. I think every other character was a good a choice, but Kluh, imo, was not interesting visually and was pretty lame. (Worth pointing out that DST has made a bunch of Hulks too. Heck, I just got two brand spanking new ones in a separate package.) At any rate, Kluh is lame, but even so, I have a minimate of him. I'm done beating that horse now.
  20. This was a great wave. All of the mates are of very good quality. No stuck nothing, no paint problems, no missing parts, no loose joints. Just great. I'm very pleased with these mates. They complete the team nicely. (Now gotta find the TRU set.) My only gripes are that Klaue's gun sits very loose in that holster. DST had gotten so good at making snug holsters so when they don't work well, it's noticeable. I would have preferred solid Vision to have a solid cape, but the clear one captures the whispiness of the cape. Heck, even with the clear cape, Vision is my favorite of the wave.
