  1. As in "As soon as I mentioned Timbo's name, she seemed to shrink, become rumpled, and with a resigned Wheeeeeeee! she flew out of the window!!"
  2. Well, at least her eyes didn't go dull and she started shuddering.................. But does she know that he collects TOYS?????
  3. Now there's an idea!! Too bad I'm an impoverished student ~ as my husband take pleasure in pointing out. I couldn't even afford the $500!! Nah, I can't see my husband wearing it ~ not the purchase...nor the costume!!
  4. ^^^LOL! I can just see the look on my fourteen year~old daughter's face when i announce the cancellation of Christmas!! ......but look what mum's got us instead!! I'm sure my husband will be thrilled as well!
  5. ........famous last words...... Is your inbox full yet?
  6. All I want for Christmas!! http://www.christies.com/LotFinder/search/...bjectID=4779667 LOT DETAILS TOM HARDY'S REMAN COSTUME A full-length sleeveless jumpsuit of two-tone purple/green vinyl, with ribbed, quilted patches to the chest, arms and legs; with corresponding cape and long-sleeved bolero jacket; a pair of gloves; and a pair of boots -- worn by Tom Hardy as Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis (7) I'd sell my entire collection to own that!
  7. I've read this thread with interest: it seems like your pain has been our gain. The peeps who collect AA's 7" Star Trek line are (mostly) happy campers these days (just don't mention hard to get exclusives ). It does seem to me that AA has pretty much turned most of their attention to producing great lines of Trek figures, and with many more to come, but I do feel your pain. Sometimes I think that AA is just too damned small to handle it's big ambitions, and that leaves some collectors high and dry. Excuse me if I'm coming off as sounding ignorant and there's some hidden secret of toymaking I don't know about, but I would have thought that minimates were much easier and cheaper to produce than an action figure? I would have thought they could have churned them out pretty easily in a format that lends itself to huge horizons for different figures that don't incoporate reuses. That's the bit I don't get.
  8. ^^^Well.....oh God....Oh streuth...... don't bother!! :o There are some samples of the artwork here on Startrek.com http://www.startrek.com/custom/exclude/giv...anga/detail.jsp .....they made Kirk look like leonardo DiCaprio and McCoy looks like he's chewing a wasp.....
  9. OK...I got about 44 seconds into that but curiously decided to forgo the remaining five minutes. He's nowhere near good looking enough to watch for all that time! Geez, what some people get up to!
  10. You should get a medium in to translate, or else convert the forum from a message board to a ouija board!
  11. ...Oh crap! I thought I had the answer to that one ... Brent Craig!!!!!!
  12. ^^^I've heard some disparaging comments about the artwork.
  13. Crikey Ady! You don't expect such bizarre things to happen in a place like York! That's a definate "What if?" moment. Has it appeared on the local TV news yet?
  14. ^^^I know some of us gave you guys a rough ride, but I have to say that I am staggered that the company let the old mod team go without so much as a "Thank You"! IMO, that's pretty bad manners.
  15. ...Nor do action figures. At least Minimates are cheaper! Welcome Templar, I don't do minimates, but I stop by to chew the fat with a few old friends.
  16. ^^^Glad you got the forum back Ady, I spent a lot of yesterday trying and retrying to get in!
  17. ^^^Well that's what we're all trying to believe, and it looks like Brandon has the uphill task of getting them to deliver.
  18. ^^^1. Absolutely!! It's supposed to be a discussion forum, but if you don't tow the politically correct line over there, they swoop in on you like a bunch of coven outriders, and they make people who are less than excellent parents, but wanting advice to be better, feel really bad just for being honest. 2. Yes, mainly it's a UK thing I think. 3. TOStados....hmmmmmmmm!! Back in the day on the old Trek Talk forums at AA, I had a phrase for people who were mainly fans of Star Trek The Original Series, and maybe not such great fans of the others....suffice to say...enuff said. .....otheriwse it's a Spanish snack involving toasted bread!!
  19. Okay, Xorn, here's a question for you..... Are Cadbury's Creme Eggs and Curly Wurlys actually getting smaller, or am I getting biggger?
  20. ^^^I was being random and pointless ............on the other hand I could be one of those schizophrenics you claim to attract in your signature!
  21. ^^^Maybe you shouldn't take them out on dates with you?
  22. I have a symbol on me that appears when properly boiled! Is that random and pointless enough for you?
  23. I feel an ambush of bawdiness threaten!
  24. I may be old, but I'm not at all bitter....in fact, parts of me are very sweet indeed! And in any case, Timbo, if you can get a video game that can get your missus going like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally ............I'll demand to know where you got it!!
  25. ^^^^Well I can explain that one! Every woman wants to be Meg Ryan, didn't you know that?
