I completely disagree!!!! Okay, I do agree, but I was surprised not to see anyone give a rather negative opinion. As someone who came into Minimates late, I can stand back and look at the Marvel line, and shake my head at all of the Spider-man variants. I am sure some of you long time collectors are doing the same thing... but at your MM shelf at home. I would rather not end up with a plethora of Supes or Bats, since there are sooooo many dynamic and awesome characters that DC could go with. I am very happy with what they have done so far with the first 5 waves, with some strange characters thrown in there, but that is what will make the collection better. They definitely should not need to bring out the same character too many times. A simple re-paint on some will make a drastically different character. Look at how many Supermans there have been in the last 10 years alone. That should keep this line going for a long time with no repeats.

I'm going with the "not eating" method myself. I figure I've acquired enough reserves over the past fifteen years to last a few weeks. Those are a couple of ways to go. I personally have taken to teaching after school classes to pay for my addiction *ahem* hobbies.

Cobra for my love of the Shelby with that name. Of course it gets interesting on the Sigma 6 website where 'Cobra' means something else entirely. As for my avatar... who better than Power Girl?? She is a great character with nice "assets" and does not seem to be filled with as much teen angst as Super Girl. AND, she will finally be in Minimate form soon... but not soon enough. PS I have been really diggin' that new JSA comic that just restarted a few months ago.

You must be new to the minimate thing? gaps of 3-6 months are normal for marvel waves and more often than not lately it's been about a year between waves. 2 months is nothing I tell ya T. I only started at the beginning of January, but after opening that first Kitty Pride from Target, I was hooked. I have been in a mad scramble to get everything I can get my hands on, so for the last month I have been getting multiple packs a week to catch up. I guess I will be able to fill my spare time waiting for the next waves with looking for the last 14 waves of Marvel I missed... plus C3 stuff. Okay, you talked me into it. I changed my mind, and can wait a little while between waves.

At stuckakid.com they say that the second wave will be released on the 28th of March. I however am sad about the HUGE gap between waves 3 and 4. That is over 2 months while the rest of the first three waves are coming out a month apart. And then they do it again between 4 and 5. I guess they are going to front load the first three waves and then cool down a bit to let the general population catch up.

Keep your eyes pealed on ebay. Make sure to check with different ways of listing the items. Sometimes the C3 stuff is listed as LEGO. We all know that not to be true, but there are some that don't know what a jewel they have. If you are fast, you will probably want to get it "buy it now" since these are so rare now. Most of the people that are looking for these are going to be keeping them for a looooooooong time.

Those look good. It would be really nice to get a quality display stand.

Not to sound gross or dirty, I would like to see a pic of the "faulty?" cylon together with a correctly proportionate cylon.

Ummmm... well Lobster, that is the collection up until July or August I think. I was told last night by stuckakid.com that series 5 will be released for pre-order in the very near future. So, that may be even more than that by years end. Now that will make an impact.

I remembered seeing that picture in Wizard a while back, but now I realize why they did not want that picture out there. Of course, not many people would have guessed that she would wind up being the clone. I just guessed that she would be a new character introduced. I think that is what is great about the Ultimate Universe. Strange and wonderful things can happen, and you never know what the writers will throw at you next.

I am taking notes. These rooms are great. I am at the distinct honor of rebuilding a run-down shed in my back yard. I have seen some really good display ideas so far. With all of the toys and model cars, I see I will need a whole lot of shelves.

Here Here! These were all the answers we were thinking, but someone else just wrote them down for us and added "ass pimple" and other colorful language for a more robust flavor. I loved it. Maybe PL would be willing to translate other speeches such as the State of the Union Address and the Academy Awards.

I can read your mind. 10x5=50. Hmmmm. 50 cylons all over the house. Oh what a Battle Royal that would be. And with only what 4 humans so far? Advantage Cylons!

It is something of a mystery to me as well. I am having a little trouble with the continuity of the comic to the show. I think it would be pretty cool to see the classic cylons show up on the tv show as well. They could even be CG, and then we could see some pretty cool fight scenes in space and on the ships.

Ironic don't you think... a site dedicated for small toys is getting too big for itself. I am glad to see this site grow, just in the little while I have been on here. I for one am happy to see this happening, so I don't get into a new hobby just as it fizzles out. That would really stink.

I am a plastic addict. This is the newest form of plastic that I cannot get out of my system. The forum is so well made, and I really like how it is run. I cannot be spending every day out on the town looking for MM, so I come here and see what is going on, and what is coming up. You guys are great, and I am glad I joined.

In the modern comic of Battlestar Galactica, the Galactica came across a fleet of classic cylon raiders (issues 4-5). They held classic style cylons. Apparently these old-school cylons did not learn and evolve as the modern cylons did. They are actually still protectors of the humans, and know so much as to go after the human based cylons like Boomer. This should get intersting when the two styles of cylons actually meet. In any words, if you needed a better reason, go ahead and mix your modern and classic collection, and let the battle begin.

I like the sentinal hanging out in the background. Looks a lot closer to Minimate scale than it does to Legends scale. I guess I will be moving my sentinal over with my minimates now.

Man, that stinks. They saved the super cool looking characters until wave 2. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that they do make these.

Being new to the Minimate collecting, I have a lot of catching up to do with the Marvel line. Luckily it seems I got on board right in time for the DC mates. I really enjoy BSG, so I will definitely have to pick those up... even with the strange collection for the first wave. I am just glad I found this site hours after picking up my first Minimate box. It makes it so much easier to see what is going on, and what is coming up when there are other people to talk to about it.

That's funny. I definitely have to get me some of those cylons. I think my art desk needs a few on patrol watching over my other mates. Maybe they will have to protect my new pretty Kitty Pride from those other dirty mates.
