And we are back with the June Giveaways! I have a list of the 54 members that signed up to participate in the June Giveaway Draft. The order that everyone gets to pick will be posted tomorrow, but here are all of the giveaway items just in you want to start thinking about items that you're interested in. There are 65 items to choose from and 54 people making picks. That way, even if you have the last pick, you will still get to choose from several items. Starting tomorrow, I will post the order in which people get to make their picks. I'll let the person with pick #1 know that it is time to start, they will make their pick, then that item will be marked off of the list, and then start it all over with pick #2 all the way through pick #54. I'll get the addresses from everyone via pm, and will start mailing out items as soon as possible. Please note that I will try to get items mailed out as fast as possible, but packing and mailing this much stuff will have to be worked into my normal daily life. No worries at all on the contest. I have a list with everyone that entered, and we will 100% have the June Giveaways, (even though it will happen in July). There was a delay in starting, and with this being a holiday weekend in the U.S., we will start again on next Tuesday, July 5th. So, only a week off which is pretty amazing considering how much garbage Shane had to wade through to get us all back up and running. I'll start a new thread over the holiday weekend with all of the items in the giveaway pool in the first post. I have the list of people that are entered, and have assigned random numbers to those people, so I'll also get that list mailed to a mod as well as get another one to give me a list of numbers that will determine the pick order. It'll all be taken care of over the weekend and we will get it going on Tuesday. Please note, if something comes up with the board, we might have to delay again, but no matter how long we have to delay, we will get all of the giveaways taken care of.

So there's a new X-Men movie, huh? Well, seems like as good of a reason as any for a couple of giveaways. The first giveaway is for an Age of Apocalypse Box Set #2. The second giveaway is for a set of two 2 Packs. We have an X-Men DoFP Professor X & Future Magneto set as well as an XMO:W Logan & Special Ops Sabretooth set. Here's how to enter: If you want the AoA set, just post your favorite character from Marvel Comics. If you want the 2 packs, just post your favorite movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can only enter for one of the giveaways. If your answer could be for both, Ant-Man for example, please indicate if you mean the movie or the comic character. This giveaway is open to any MMMV member that has not already received a giveaway this month. I'll leave it open until May 31 at noon, EDT. Thanks everyone! I've had a pretty cool day.

My gift sender knocked it out of the park! I knew it would be good when I saw the box: Then I opened and found some ant-ring goodness, haha! So I dig into the wrapped packages. First up, some awesome candy and gum, (minus the Blue Raspberry Air Head that I immediately devoured). Next up is a really cool Unmasked Pyro. I freaking love customs like this: Next I open what feels like a tpb, and it is, but one that I've never read, (but have heard great things about), Pretty sweet, right? And then, as if the swwets, Pyro custom, and Saga V1 weren't enough, I opened the biggie: How f'ing cool is that?!? Here it is side by side with the tpb: That's 100% awesome. I love the Saga customs without even having read the comic. And as much as I want to open them up, the package is just too sweet to rip into. From the custom work, my first guess was that Mattallica had drawn my name in this year's Birthday Elephant. After looking up the return zip code, my guess was confirmed.... at least I'm 99% sure it was confirmed. I can't say thanks enough, Matt. This is one kick ass present and that Saga custom is immediately one of the prizes in my collection. Thanks again, Mattallica, you rock.

The NBX set is truly wonderful. And it's great to see the Translucent Ralph as well. I'm pretty impressed with the offerings this year. Ah, Toy Fair Vader. That was an extremely tough figure to get back in the day. As to Arnim's question, the maximate packaging is an essential keep for me because of moving/storage. Those statues are so very fragile that I only trust them in their original packaging when moving them. And even then it's a cold sweat that forms when opening the packaging and removing the styrofoam coffin.

I find it very rewarding when I open up a big order from Luke's and then recycle the packaging. Looking at the amount of space that the boxes take up vs. the small amount that the figures do is kind of mind boggling. If you're attached to the art, you could always cut out the side panels or the little bios on the back and keep them in a binder. Either in scrap booking type pages or in baseball card pages. You could keep a ton of art that way and only use a tiny fraction of the space. Or, just scan them into your hard drive and only use virtual space to store the art.

I have an extra set of the three TRU W20 two packs and the four Walgreens animated two packs if anyone wants to trade. My wants are in my post in the trade thread, (towards the top of the last page).

They all look great but those UM figures are top shelf. Great job!

Welcome to the MMMV!

I wish the Blind Bag assortments had two of every character. That way two people could go in on a case and each have a complete set. It still forces the consumer to buy more than they want to get the items they're looking for, so it still fulfills the goal of releasing blind bags. But it would certainly lessen the sting of all of the wasted money on a full case. Especially when the shared figures are being released in so many other assortments. That being said, I need the three NBX Hot Topic exclusives if anyone has them for sale or trade. I went to seven Hot Topics in the last 8 days and found nothing but rude employees. I've got a Mutagen Donatello that I'd trade for the Hot Topic GITD Reindeer and anything else on my trade list as well.

I'll echo what others here have said. Running a site takes time and devotion just for the day to day operations. Shane's extra effort with the giveaways and his willingness to trade/sell/ship to anyone is pretty amazing and not something you see on every site.

Are we renting a room like the one at the Essex for Luke's party? If so, the price and availability of a meeting room would need to be considered.
