  1. Yeah, as much as I love Zartan, elbow movement is practically non-existant. Stone is the best of the bunch for sure. Still, I'm pretty pleased with Zartan, and I'm digging the black suit Cobra Commander with his closed helmet and no stupid "battle-damage-He-Man" feature. This is an outstanding toy line. All the 3/34" purists who are hating on Sigma 6 are missing out.

I've got some, and I think they are OK, but could have been so much better. The plastic used was too brittle, and the elbow joints tend to break way too easily. The accessories included were top notch, as always was the case with Palisades Toys' products. I liked them better than Kubricks, but not nearly as much as Minimates. I need to get them all together and sell them off on ebay as a lot. Just not interested enough in them to keep them.
  3. At one time, the Batman: The Animated Series line was my very favorite. Then Marvel Minimates came along and took the title. Adding the DC minimates was the icing on the cake. But, after suffering through some frustration with quality and lack of product for a year, LEGO took the top spot. They have some awesome themes: Star Wars, Batman, Exo-Force, etc... and the Minifigs, the original block figures, are simple but cool. I love my Minimates, but if I could only collect ONE toy line, it would have to be LEGO for me.
  4. Yeah, I agree with you about iTunes. I was pissed about not being able to use Windows Media with the iPod because all of my music was on there. I almost bought a different brand because of it. Once I started using iTunes, though, I came around. Apple definitely has their shit together.
  5. Found the new assortment at a local Kmart today!! Finally, Zartan is MINE!!!! *Insert evil, maniacal laughter here.*
  6. I have a 4GB iPod Nano and I love it. It holds 1000 songs, and I have around 750 on it at any given time so it's perfect for me. I don't want to watch videos on my iPod, and I don't want a hard drive, so those larger models with all that memory aren't worth the extra cash to me. Keep in mind though, that I also don't care to have a cell phone that takes pictures and plays music, or a video game system that doubles as a home entertainment system, so if you are into all the extra stuff an 80GB model might suit you.
  7. I've got the chases from all the series of Marvel mates so far, except for the most recent. I don't have any of that series. My prized minimate is my personalized bombermate from TBT. I don't see ever letting that one go.
  8. I like pretty much everything, from rap to country to classical. I've got a very diversified CD collection, which tends to favor pop rock/ alternative and harder rock bands, so if I had to name a favorite genre it would be one of those two. Rap is my least favorite, though I have all of Eminem's CDs because he kicks ass. Oh, and Johnny Cash is the man!!
  9. I saw them at a local TRU a couple days ago. Haven't seen them at any other TRUs or anywhere else though. I would imagine they should be popping up soon.
  10. ^ WOW, if I wasn't already sold on the Wii, that would have definitely won me over. Damn! I just hope I can find one on or near the launch date. I'd like to get an XBOX 360 also, but that can wait another year or so.
  11. Stone and Zartan are out of stock. Looks like I'm waiting.
  12. Ahem, um, hello there, Soylent Bean. I couldn't help but notice you were getting rid of your LEGO stuff. I happen to have a modest LEGO collection myself and would be happy to help you rid yourself of your LEGO minifigs. Feel free to shoot me a PM and let me know what you've got and what Minimates you may need.
  13. Man, I was considering ordering the whole wave but money is kind of tight right now. I could save a couple dollars if I find them locally, but it would be nice to have them all and not have to worry about finding handsomedevil's leftovers.
  14. Good thing you posted this or I would have never known you'd been gone. Welcome back.
  15. Kubricks are cool, but a little too expensive to get around here. They are like larger LEGO minifigs, and that's definitely not a bad thing. Mez-Itz are neat (especially the Predators) but they suffer from some quality issues like brittle hands that break too easily and the shoulder posts tend to snap off without too much pressure. Of the two, I'd say Kubricks are better.
  16. NO, definitely not much shockini love around here. I wouldn't make fun of anyone else for buying them, though... besides Shanester. To each his own, I say.
  17. Yeah, and Shanester paid $10 for one!!! Sorry Shane, I couldn't resist.
  18. Ewwwwwwww At first glance, it is ugly. However, look at this for a moment... ... and suddenly Aunt May is hot!! Careful, he might hit you with his bubblegum on a stick!!
  19. Shockinis are my tops on my list... ... that is, if the list is titled "THE BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT TOYS EVER PRODUCED." I can't believe Reideen took the high road on this one, considering the history, so I'll go ahead and cover this one. God awful, those things are. In fact, that a couple years ago when Shanester asked me to pick up the WWC exclusive shockini for him, (back when he was addicted to heroin and not thinking straight) I did it under EXTREME protest and as covertly as possible so as not to be seen purchasing one of these abominations by someone I know. If that's not being a true friend, I don't know what is. Why do I feel this way? Well, they look terrible. The articulation in the upper arms and thighs makes no sense at all. They are ball-joints, but the design of the figure only allows slightly more posability than a cut joint. The shoulder and hip joints also suffer from very limited posability because of the sorry design of the body. You say that the "blankness" of the figure bothers you slightly? If you ever happen to see the licensed shockinis I think you'll change your tune. They look like they were produced by a special ed. art class. Trust me, a blank shockini is the best shockini you'll find. The marketing plan was well thought out and impressive. Endless spamming of the old AA board, the TNI board, and who knows where else, about how awesome their new toy was and how they have 18 points of articulation (even though the posability blows) and everybody should buy them, and so on and so forth. Yeah, shockinis are way better than Minimates and Stikfas. Riiiiiight. Yeah, I rate shockinis just above articulated horse shit... barely.
  20. NO HD, the F-Bomb is OK only if it's directed at Ady or TBT. It's a shame that AA/ DST have sucked the fun out of this line. I saw the post in the Marvel forum about series 12 or 13 or whatever it was showing up in comic book stores today, and realized that it didn't really matter to me. I'm not ready to say that I'm quitting Minimates, but they are way down the priority list where my collecting is concerned. Maybe after everyone quits Minimates, we can turn this place into a LEGO Minifigs forum. In honor of the lost member - :deathstroke: And just because it's the coolest smilie I've ever seen -
  21. To the ladies of the forum - I offer you hugs. To the fellas - A firm smack on the ass and a "Good Game."
  22. Yeah, I just saw that a few minutes ago and posted my pathetic excuse there.
  23. Check this out. Anybody who knows me, knows I've already preordered these. A little pricey for the size, but I'm a sucker and I know it. Damn you, Gentle Giant!!! Darth Vader LEGO statue!!
