I think HAR has spent thousands. Wasn't he winning most of the bids on MINI-MYTE's customs? His customs average $40 - $50 a pop on Ebay. And look at Ady's collection. He's spent a grand on Super-Skrulls alone. I'm in for five minimum, if I count the money spent on the website, Illustrator, paints, air compressor for airbrush and rares like Santa Spidey and the 2003 blanks. And I don't even have a gold or silver Spidey.

I don't think it should be a contest either. Like Timbo said we have JP and Friends. Minimates Central it is!

Maybe we can come up with the best fit for Desktop Theater. What kind of hosting support are you looking for? Specifically, do you want a page/pages that will blend thematically with the host site? Do you want access to be able to upload new comics? Any other special needs? I think Timbo had a good point, MMC doesn't have its own comic strip so it makes sense to put it there. Also, Ady could then expand the banner at the top of MMMV to say, "Minimate Multiverse with Minimates Central with Minimate Desktop Theater." In a couple years and a few more mergers later the banner will cover the entire screen. I am happy to host but we should find the best fit.

Thanks for doing that Ady. Newer members to this forum may not realize that you get nothing for all your hard work. At least nothing from AA. You do get our undying thanks. It looks like more than Minimates fans want answers. The Madballs fans want some too!

Your customs are always so inspiring, antacost. I've spent a lot of time studying your work! So good! I really enjoy your customs and dream of one day having a stable of customs like yours. But there is something about Blue Devil which is absolutely amazing. Man, I want DCD to release one! I've never heard of him, but your custom of him is superb! Nice work!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think these are a lot better quality than the 2-packs we got earlier this year. My specialty 2-packs were repainted white Minimates. These seem to be actual colored Minimates.

Rocky, Kellogs, and Speed Racer aren't the types of Minimates that feed my addiction. I have little nostalgia or interest in those properties. I was pulled into Minimates when I saw Marvel and DC/C3 on the shelves at Tower Records two years ago. A pile of Cylons? What's the effin point without new Marvel and DC Minimates?

I think they look good, actually. The brown paint is smudged on Racer X's boots but that's all I notice as being a problem. I just want my DC Minimates.

Welcome to the venting thread! Express your frustration here about the lack of DC Minimates and DC Minimates news! This thread is for the fans by the fans. This is wholly unproductive, but I feel like bitching. I expected to have shiney new DC Minimates in my grubby paws by now. Am I mistaken or is the earliest we can see these now June 2007 (according to recent DC Direct solicitations)? What the *blank* gives? Venting makes me feel better so this thread is not intended to insult any of the hard working folks at AA and DC Direct. BUT COME ON! Throw us a bone. At least give me a Wonder Woman Minimate by Christmas. That's all I ask. Please.

You would have thought after all my whiney posts above that I would have ripped right into mine when I got them last night. No, not only have I also not opened mine yet, I haven't even taken them out of my CAR. I bought them last night, looked at them, sighed, and tossed them into the back seat. They didn't satisfy my Minimate hunger at all.

Success for me last night ... finally. I do feel dumb though for searching so hard for these. I guess I am just too desperate for new 'mates.

I've become too frustrated with my search in Los Angeles. I live near three TRUs. All have them listed in their manifest as being in the stores. No workers can find them. Anyone work at TRU? How long have they used high school students to stock shelves? Apparently the TRUs in my area use students who work for school credit (not money). The stores are an absolute mess. I found the SF2 packs in the board games section. No Speed Racer to be found. In addition, English is a second language for most of the paid staff. I have to write out the word MINIMATE for the customer service people who can't understand what I'm saying. They look it up on their computers and they find a lot of Minimates but they don't know where it is in the store. The manager thinks they have cases in the back but they won't be unpacked for weeks until the student workers come back. A worker offered to let me go through the boxes in the back. I peaked back there and saw so many boxes I sighed. Most were Toybiz and Mattel boxes. Marvel Legends and JLU collectors would probably find all of the hard to find stuff in the back rooms of the LA TRUs. I'm giving up on TRU. Too annoying. I am also guessing that they will be filing for bankruptcy shortly. I've heard they are on the ropes and everything I've seen indicates an end is near. Wal-mart is killing TRU on price, and it appears they will also be beating them with service soon too. Not good.

Now we know for a fact that the arrival of bat_mite's mom causes the AA forum to die. She's like the angel of death for the AA forum.
