  1. Huge props for putting him by fire! Awesome custom. Some great entries so far. Hope I can finish mine tonight.
  2. Zach - Can I make a serious suggestion for the army builder pack? As I tend to buy multiple packs of army builders, can we have whoever gets packed with it come with some alternate costume options? Giant Man / Ant Man was brilliant as I put together four distinct versions of Pym and have 4 Kree Sentries.
  3. I left Winter Soldier off my list on purpose.
  4. Focus people! The purpose here is to trick Zach into revealing who will be in the next group of polls, not debating the merits of Dooshpool. Let's look at where we stand so far: 1. 95% choices will be NEW characters 2. Wrecker may be in the villain poll 3. Zach seems to be drawing character ideas from MMMV members. So let's take a stab at the Support Team: * Falcon * Rocket Racoon * Doc Samson * Squirrel Girl * Quasar * Gladiator * Tigra * Guido Primary Targets (Villains): * Zemo * Toad * Batroc the Leaper * Gideon * Spot * Beetle * Mad Thinker * Zzzax Army Builders: * Mandroids * Lava Men * Phalanx * Secret Empire * Black Spectre * Female Shield Agent * Shi'ar * Moloids
  5. In defense of MMHQ commentors,I think a large number of readers don't spend much time at MMMV, thus lacking the context provided by Zach. So to someone who collects but doesn't spend time digging through the forum format, the offering of a fan poll with options for yet more Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, etc. seems ... disappointing. I prefer new characters over costume variants myself, and with my busy schedule MMHQ is my primary source for Minimates news. I think Dragon offers an appropriate reply and next weeks poll will be more exciting for hardcore fans. I retract all defense of MMHQ commentors.

  7. There's a Shocker out? I finally found Lizard. Is there a Mysterio, Kraven, or Scorpion out yet?
  8. Let's guess next week's poll options: Rick Jones Pepper Potts Jarvis Foggy Nelson Robbie Robertson Betsy Ross Franklin Richards Moira MacTaggert Jane Foster Odin Or how about the greatest ten pack ever for the 10 year anniversary?
  9. Incredible news. 30th Anniv figures got axed for Retaliation figures, Renegades cartoon scrapped, and now the movie is delayed a year. Hasbro stock has plummeted over 1.5% in after hours trading so far. And lets not forget Battleship sunk. ZACK's report today appears to be before this announcement: "Hasbro’s strong product line-up slated for the second half of the year, strategic tie-ups, and its growing presence in emerging geographical regions bode well for future growth. However, the Consensus miss in the first quarter concern us a bit. Management commented that this underperformance was expected as it planned for a back-end loaded year. Hasbro currently retains a Zacks #3 Rank, which translates into a short-term Hold rating. We are maintaining our long-term Neutral recommendation on the stock. As a point of reference, one of Hasbro’s major peers Mattel Inc. (NasdaqGS:MAT - News) missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in its first quarter 2012 earnings per share and revenue." If they were planning to back-load using GI Joe, wow. Wonder what the stock will settle on? The silver lining is Ted has been bumped up!
  10. So Zach is MSWord on Fwoosh? Sorry, I'm a little slow. I'm struggling to understand why Wrecker would be an option on any poll based on this thread. Speaking of Fwoosh, wasn't there a big split where a bunch of the hateful members started their own forum called Doosh? I visited it once and it felt like the love child of Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer.
  11. Let's just start the Pre-Orders now for Spider-Man Through The Ages: Amazing Bag-Man w/Alternate What If FF Costume torso and head Spider-Man Noir Spider-Man 2099 w/Alternate Miguel O'Hara sunglasses head Ricochet I'll send you my $19.99 right now.
  12. It took me a moment but I think I get it. I think he means that the entire Spikey Thing Minimate becomes a caltrop or shuriken. Like if you buy 20 Spikey Things and drop them in someone's chair before they sit down = ouch. Makes better sense after downing a few martinis.
  13. BTW: Anyone else think this is DSTs basic formula for most waves? Two A-Listers, Two Support, One Villain, One Army Builder plus a Variant? Wave 43: A-List: Sipder-Man, Daredevil Support: J J J, Dewolf Villain: Sin-Eater Army: Shield Variant: aunt May Wave 44: A-list: Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Hulk Support: Antman/Giant Man Army: Kree Sentry Variant: Antman 2 Wave 47: A-list: Wolverine, Collosus Support: Dazzler, Longshot, Rogue Army: Brood Variant: infected Wolverine The formula has variations but we almost always get two A-list per wave.
  14. Didn't expect so much love for Ghost Rider and Cap-Wolf although I theorized we'd eventually get that Ghost Rider. My problem with Wolf-Cap is that he seems like a simple custom thus being unworthy of the sculpting cornucopia that would stem from Spikey Thing and Water Man. My reasoning was "maximize new parts". If I remember correctly, mutated Thing was an 80s creation that gave him strength and power equal to Hulk. Miry?
  15. Spikey Thing and Hydro Armor for me but I like them all. Next weeks poll will be more gut wrenchingly difficult I imagine.
  16. Look at the strange crotch piece on the War Chieftain. Is this the first use or do the other Brutes have this?
  17. The comments in the thread are hilarious. I agree with one commenter who says everything is intriguing up to the point where they say "Wolverine". What's with the false gravitas declaring something as "canon". In truth good ideas and stories become "canon" after surviving the test of time. Bad stuff gets ret-conned. You can't declare something "canon" before it's even made. Han shot first. Spider-Man wasn't a clone. and Happy Days ended at Season Four.
  18. Oh man, I forgot all about those. I honestly can't remember if we ever tracked down a picture or we photoshopped what one would look like. I need to dig up my MMHQ Archives.
  19. I'm 90% convinced that this will be Spidey themed. You have Spider-Man's 50th Anniversary AND the big "Ends of the Earth" event.
  20. Sure! I'll add them to the first post so we have a checklist of Spider-Man costumes that will take us to Marvel Wave 100.
  21. Couldn't find a thread that focused solely on unmade comic accurate Spider-Man variants so here we go. Ninja Spider-Man from Spectacular Spider-Man #213 & #214: Cyborg Spider-Man from Spider-Man #21 & #22: Octo-Spider-Man fron Funeral For An Octopus #2: Unlimited Spider-Man from Webspinners #13 & 14: Bag-Man in Amazing Spider-Man #258 and Spectacular Spider-Man #256: Costume Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man #26: Black Scarlet Spider in Spider-Man #58: Second Costume no eye covers in Amazing Spider-Man #113 and #114: Spider-Hulk in Web Of Spider-Man #69: Spider-Lizard in Spectacular Spider-Man #39 and #40: Spider-Phoenix in Spider-Man #25: Spider-Man 2211 in Spider-Man 2099 Meets Spider-Man and then Spider-Man #1/2: Spiders Man in Earth X and Universe X: Spider-Man Noir: Spider-Man 1602: Spider-Man Reign: Spider-Man Negative Zone: Space Spidey from Amazing Spider-Man #680: Spider-Man India: Proposed Ultimate Spider design by Carlos Pachero:
  22. A lot of folks have been commenting about having positive experiences with Disney Store "cast members". I learned not to long ago that the Disney Store retail folks enjoy all of the same benefits as other domestic Disney employees - full healthcare, Silver Pass, 35% discount, career advancement opportunities, etc. Not trying to come across like a recruiter, just wanted to reinforce Mnemosis idea that companies that treat their employees well deliver better product and services. Go figure.
  23. I think DST has a threshold they won't go over in terms of core body piece sculpting. Like a head or thigh or hand or shoulder is ok but not every piece. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the new crotch piece in Hulk. 75% of the figure needs to remain a basic 'mate or it stops being one. I would be intrigued by a highly articulated 2" line like mini marvel universe figures. MiniSelects would be real cool.
  24. Let's guess theme! I feel like TRU would want a more mainstream exclusive after the Heralds set. I'm putting my money on a Sinister Foes of Spider-man set: Choices pick three: Jackal Morbius Hammerhead Scarecrow Venom w/sculpted head Vermin Updated Sandman Updated Hydroman Jack O Lantern And a Spider-Man that will go in the set: Spider-Ham Spider-Man Noir Spider-Man Reign
  25. Kang is beside me now. I can die a happy man. No sign of Grim yet.
