  1. I forgot about Scorpion, I hadn't looked him up in a while. I wouldn't mind seeing a more modern version of him one day. And I frequently see Tarantula on eBay for less than $40. And while I wouldn't call that cheap necessarily, it's not a crazy price considering he was a variant to begin with.
  2. I think you're right, but I would like to see some of his later movies get 'mates as well, this could be a good way to test the water. I'd LOVE to get 'mates from Django Unchained, but this idiotic PC world would probably keep that from ever happening.
  3. The only Spidey villains whose prices are excessive, to me anyway, are Kraven and The Vulture, I've seen good deals on the rest if you can wait for a bit. There's a guy on eBay who is seriously trying to get $199.99 for the Kraven two-pack.
  4. You know, a week or two ago I would have felt certain there would at least be something for this film, considering how much DST has been on the Deadpool bandwagon the last few years. I think I just need to retire from the pursuit of learning DST's thought process on choosing who/what to make. Every time I think I've got a good grip on it, they do something completely different.
  5. To throw this idea out there, since the trailer for The Hateful 8 just turned up, it's a film that could be covered by two box sets. Just something to think about.
  6. I think there are still plenty of Spider-Man versions that have yet to be made or that merit a revisit that we could get some great waves like Wave 24, where we get cool versions of Spider-Man with new/update worthy villains. It seems to me now that instead of using heavy hitters to sell a secondary character, they remake the heavy hitters to tie into some form of other media a lot of the time.
  7. These are on the Previews shipping list for next week.
  8. Wave 62 is finally on the shipping list for next week.
  9. I agree on the Civil War point. The only new character worthy of a figure I can think of is Crossbones, because my word does he look amazing. And Baron Zemo, though I'm not sure what his look will be. I didn't include Black Panther or Spider-Man, as this will be their first cinematic version for Marvel. I also have a feeling that will be seeing Red, but I could be wrong about that. I think that the Deadpool movie deserves at least a box set, you have the man himself, Colossus, and whoever else they feel is most worthy, and again it's not something that I'm aching for, but I certainly think you can justify it from a fan and a marketing standpoint.
  10. Let's all remember, regardless of your feelings on this movie, we're pretty much guaranteed to get at least two waves for Civil War, featuring Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black "Straight outta Merchandise" Widow, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Ant-Man, Falcon, and Winter Soldier. All of whom we got in the last two years, a lot of whom are still available, and some aren't even out yet. So Deadpool seems to have a lot more newness to it by comparison. And yes, I would obviously like to get more Comic based waves with new characters, I'm just basing this on a trend of releases.
  11. I haven't seen anyone make that claim, but I don't think you can blame people for being disappointed when we Ask DST! about things we're excited about, and the answer is usually "Nope."
  12. I don't know, there is SO MUCH Deadpool merchandise out there, Marvel is signing off on that stuff.
  13. I'm not upset in the sense of really wanting a wave for this movie, like others have said the costume is so close you could use the comic version, I'm more just bewildered by the logic DST uses in regards to what to pursue. When people ask how many more box sets of nothing but Deadpool we needed, they responded by saying that those box sets outsold almost everyone they've made as of late, and then when that same character gets a movie, they don't have plans to pursue it. I just don't understand the criteria they use for these decisions. And I'm not going to bring up the Netflix argument again, but it's another case of a property that has the potential to become huge, that they're leaving on the table. And then on the flipside, there's the inevitable wave after wave of Civil War 'mates, which will feature almost every character we got multiples of in the last several years. It's funny, my excitement for the Civil War movie is so high, and my excitement for the 'mates related to that movie is remarkably low.
  14. DST's choices become more and more murky to me.
  15. They were at Target, and they were $12.99 a piece. They had both the upper and the bottom cells, the one I got was the bottom cell. I knew if they worked I wanted to get more, but I wanted to be sure that they actually would be a good fit before I jumped all in.
  16. Thank you sir, I'm definitely getting more cells, and the catwalk as well. The cells are priced very reasonably. Oh, and Amp is delicious, but not required to build these sets.
  17. Shocking. OK, I tried to upload a few different photos about 10 different times, I can only assume that something is going on with the board, I never had a problem before now.
  18. I picked up one of the McFarlane prison cell building sets to see if it would work with 'mates. After the challenge of putting the right shade of brick in the right place, this is how it turned out. I think it works really well overall, the accessories are a little small but I wanted it more for the cell anyway. I got the cell at Target, at 12.99 it isn't outrageously expensive if you want to start a prison diorama like I'm thinking of doing. OK, I don't know why the photo isn't working, I'll try again in a little bit.
  19. Hold the phone mister, don't you dare take Typhoid Mary and Black Tom away from me!!
  20. I think the very first Colossus that was made in the Giant Size box set is the best in terms of scale.
