Gotta say I'm totally against blind bags. It's a system designed to cause the customer to buy more product then wanted. I really can't understand why so many people at the customer side of the equation are cool with the arrangement.

Good fun all round. The only suggestion I could give is it would be nice to see some group shots of your various universes, going through the tread I lost track of who belonged with who.

Love that Sabretooth. He might make it into the regular villains display as the face isn't a world of difference from the best of face. Actually with a head swap most of these from both sets make nice regular versions with a darker less comic book edge.

In the x-movie universe there are so many huge continuity problems that Wolvie not mentioning Quicksilver would barley make the list.

You would have to imagine though that the 100 or so regular posters on here are the hard core fan base that would be most inclined to custom and come online to specifically talk minimates, most people who pick up this set are going to open it sit them on a shelf and that is the grand total effort they want to put into their purchase.

I wouldn't be so sure that they will want to use quicksilver again, the movie made it kind of obvious that he has one of those powers that's just way too powerful. He was a convenient dues ex machina when they used him but the second half of the film would have been resolved rather quickly if they had thought to bring him along. Just another movie thought why in god's green earth didn't they have Rachel in the movie instead of changing another character powers? As for the minimates after seeing the film I am really disappointed in this wave we are getting all the boring characters and the ones that didn't get much screen time. I would have gone with either past xavier, magneto, wolverine, beast mystique and trask for the main screen time characters or future iceman, blink, pyro, mystique, wolverine and sentinel for the most exciting toys. Since we haven't ever really got a good representation of the movie x-men about 3 boxsets of the team in their black leathers might be nice.

One thing I thought in the last Wolverine movie was that both he and Jean are starting to look really old.

Actually that's a pretty good point, even with the healing factor how did he move.

I agree with the concerns that we will get half a team and they will change costumes 3 months later leaving zero motivation to complete them. I think a line has already been drawn under the phoenix 5 in that regard.

Ok this hasn't gone how I expected, I thought the arm swipe thing would look cool depicting sabretooth swiping his claws, anyway what I was trying to recreate was this piece of classic X history. Which I suppose has a rapey vibe about it. As for the nudity I forgot that I had altered my Betsy figure as I though the puffy purple arms didn't really catch the look of the costume so mine has had bare arms for some time now, so that was inadvertent.

The thing that bugged me the most about the whole AvX story was the fact that Rachel has been the most successful host of the phoenix force controlling it quiet well for a lot of the 80's and 90's and she was reduced to about half a page of the story with one throw away line about having been a former host. For that matter Captain Britain was part of the space Avengers dealing with the force and having lived with Rachel for the bulk of Excaliburs run didn't have any insights to offer. Now if I really wanted to get super fan boy nerdy about it Ferron was a character raised his whole life to be a host for the force by an order that did nothing but study the force, you thing they might have been worth a visit at some point. I would love more Excalibur (Cersie, Kylun, Opal Luna, Micromax, Ferron, Captain UK) but in the spirit that I believe that this thread was intended I would say Banshee with Syrin a very close second.

Marvel needed some stern editorial guiding to prevent this situation before it started. Is there a long term member of the x-men that hasn't "died" I say age them up kill them off and keep the story moving. We are on to our 4th next generation of mutants now and they still want cyclops to be 35 the time between the start of new mutants and Generation X must have been retro fitted to about 6 month by now.

Oh bugger it lets go all out and get a through the ages boxset! There will be at least 3 or 4 people that want it, and probably as many again who will buy it out of a completest obsession so that's 8 sales so get to it powers that be.
