This is the best birthday present I could've of asked for, since I was one of the ones "beating a dead horse"! Thank you DST & Toys'r'Us!

My guess its something to do with the new BSG spin-offs. Caprica or The Plan. (hoping so anyway)

Well, they did it again, I was almost over not getting the last mates from BSG, and now in the latest Q&A, theres a hint at an announcement later today about BSG! I'll keep my fingers crossed! It says.... "Make sure you check the main Diamond Select Toys website later today for an extra-special announcement sure to break the internet in half. So say we all!"

They had the champions, thunderbolts, and T2 bundle with a ironman hostile takeover set and web armor spidey included for free. They also had the Dark Avengers 2, and the Ghostbusters Peter and Staypuft exclusive up for pre-order. Luckily, I got them all ordered before it disappeared off their site!

Just got home , and waves 25 & 26 were waiting for me...yeah! I won't be able to open them till later, but i have no camara to take pics anyway, but just wanted to let ya all know they are out there!

(/qoute) It honestly makes me sad that people still have hope for this line. It is dead! All the stores want to carry for BSG are 7" action figures. If I had to choose between BSG Minimates or BSG busts coming back from the toy grave to full time line, I would pick the busts. The idea of BSG Minimates was fun until you ask yourself "what kids are gonna ask for BSG toys to play with?" Star Wars is one thing, Star Trek is even ok but BSG is not for the young. Most adult toy collectors I know only buy stuff they grew up liking, not a show they just saw on television and enjoy a great deal. Yeah it sucks this line ended, but every toy line ends. It just sucks balls that we saw what could have been. And I wish I was still buying minimates MOC, because that Black Widow is gonna rock socks!!! Everybody is entitled to their opinion---and how do you know "most" people's collecting interests? By the way if you don't collect or buy minimates why do you even still post on this site?...thats what sad--

Well, my hopes once again are rekindled by DST latest answer about BSG mates--the latest Q & A says we should hear something VERY soon about these....lets hope so!

I agree. If DST decides to answer a question about it, even if they're saying nothing, of course there's going to be posting in this thread. I don't like that they seem to be leading us on, but it's understandable that people are going to want to comment. I don't see why people feel the need to pop in and say "Stop beating a dead horse!" Of course, I guess I could do something more useful with my time, like go vote for Symbiote Bond Spider-Man... I was thinking the same thing after seeing the replies, its been a couple years since the street fighter line "officailly" ended, and people still post. So if you want to call it beating a dead horse, so be it, cuz I'll keep posting and holding on to the smallest hope that these will someday be made available to finish out the series for everyone that wants them.

So AFX said they are going to have 1 more boxset for SDCC right? I'm hoping it has something to do with BSG, seeing as how in the last Q & A, they said if any of these sets are released, it would be in a different form and AFX seems to be pushing alot of boxsets lately....so.....any speculations?

I emailed BBTS when I got the email and asked which ones were canceled---they just emailed me back and said it appears to be Sarah and John Connor. I wonder why???

In the USA Today newspaper last week, they had an article about BSG. It talked about the new series Caprica and another spin-off called "The Path", or something like that-its supposed to be about the cylons and their plan of destruction against humanity-it sounded pretty interesting....maybe we'll get our final cylon minimates from a future boxset of that series or mini-series, whatever it may be! As for my top 3--very hard to choose---- 1. Starbuck 2. Baltar 3. Caprica Six ...but I'd really like to include Lee too.

Just thought I'd let you all know that, I wrote an email to AFX about doing an exclusive set for BSG too, and they answered me back this morning by saying, "they are looking into it", so hopefully this will be good news!

You must be thinking of SFII... No way... BTTF all the way, baby! (... Trek? BSG? Rocky?) I'm hoping for BSG myself....

Who knows...it may not even be a marvel set...there is alot of other properties out there that need a box set or 2 done to finish up their series...a couple come to my mind right away.

Maybe we'll get a surprise one day soon when we walk into a toy'r'us, and they'll have these like the spidey-wave----I'm grasping at straws here I know, but I think that this is our only hope!

New set of questions and answers are up...it does not sound good for BSG mates!

I'm still hoping that the lack of news has something to do with the show itself and what the final outcome will be.

I wonder if all the mates AFX is gonna show are all marvel ones? cuz if you read it it says they will show them if they are allowed to, and we all know about the whole BSG thing-so maybe they will have an exclusive for them too.---lets hope

Seeing as no BSG was shown...I would choose Gambit as mine.

Art Asylum has a new blog up about these, with packaging shots. It looks like the Sand Sariff thats in black comes in the 4 pack and the one in the white comes in the exclusive. They look pretty good.

I just tried to "place them in my cart" and it said they were unavailable at this time.
