  1. Yes, I actually agree with both of you. I am sooo hating the new re-dubbed "Americanime" that's all over "4KidsTV". Sigma 6? Couldn't pay me to watch it, but awesome toys. Sonic X, TMNT, MewMew Power, yuck. Disgusting, in a "I'm disgusted" kind of way. So the new Armada/Energon/Cybertron...yeah, load of crap. Funny thing is, my 18 year old brother watches them. I actually kind of liked Armada, but then then started doing this stupid "cel-shaded CGI" junk. Nasty. Horrible.
  2. He looks like calamari in marrionette form...nasty, all squishy and gelatinous... as for that "shortpacked" thing; God Ady, please don't ever post anything like that again!!!
  3. ^^^^^WOW, that's, um...profound! Jeez, do you talk like that in person? You 'otta be, like, PRESIDENT or something!!! (We should have a clapping smiley)
  4. A three pack? Harley, Ivy, and "in-midst-of-being-raped-Batgirl"? Sounds like lawsuits all around to me...
  5. Picked mine up an hour ago. Haven't watched it yet, but the cover looks cool!
  6. No, I've never owned it, but rented it every summer. My question, "am I the only one who likes it?" was mean't as "does anyone like the movie itself". Another note, feel free to speak about anything Transformers here. It's officially NOT considered hijacking the thread. I wish I could edit the title of the thread, sorry. Did anyone used to watch Beast Wars/Machines? Thoughts? That was THE Sat. Morning cartoon for my brother and I. It is seriously nostalgic for me. That's the Transformers I grew up with although I do have a great deal of respect and love for the Original Series. Anyone follow the comics? The 80's(?) comics. They were a little too convoluted to me. Way too many timelines, alt. universes, dead/risen characters, and other weird stuff. I do have a few of the new ones. I have issues number 2-6. Heh, not a lot. Anyone got news on the July movie? My first excitement for movies next year is Spider-Man 3, but close second is Transformers.
  7. Has anyone bought this yet? I have always LOVED the movie, and plan on buying it tonight. What about you guys? Am I the only one who likes it? Is it worth buying?
  8. Oh, God! He plays Spike???? My favorite Spike??? That stupid junkie Even Stevens kid is going to play my beloved Spike? NOOOOO! (We should really have a crying smiley) Why God? Why? Speaking of which, has anyone picked up the new (old) Transformers Movie Limited Edition 2-Disc Set?
  9. I was wondering... For those of you who own Gold and/or Silver Spideys, why do you? How did you acquire them? What do you like about them? Share your Gold and Silver stories here.
  10. Jeez, yeah, same here. Thank you so much for getting our imput, it's amazing that what we type here might actually have a direct and immediate effect on the future of Minimates, but, kind sir, those prices are...a little HIGH. I don't think they'd move. Why are they that high? Is it the availibility?
  11. By the way, nice collection Aapje! Beautiful Nova!
  12. Or maybe Danny's variant is a variant and yours is just the norm...
  13. Actually, yeah. That probably is a better idea . I'll do that. Thanks.
  14. Oh, um, yeah, I guess that is true... Ok, cut all those prices down by $3.00.
  15. Hey, it's me. I was wondering which of all you customs gods are willing to accept commisions, that is, paid assignments/requests for your work. I've been particularly wanted to ask MINI-MYTE. So, do you?
  16. It's me again, the Brain Picker. I wanted to know, is Minimates really your favorite toy? I know it's hard to decide, but think about it. I think it is Minimates for me. Really. All I'm asking you guys is to say what your true FAVORITE toy line really is.
  17. I think these would be WONDERFUL. Regardless of the fact that I did love the movie, these would just be cool awesome ace 'mates altogether. I think playsets and gift packs are the coolest thing toys can be distributed as, and I think these would actually boost popularity of the movie, even if it is old. Or better yet, release some kind of pair with a special edition DVD of the movie with the 'mates! As for price, um: Transport Carrier: $21.99. (this is thinking realistically) Police 4-Packs: $7.99. Silver Audi with Spooner: $14.99. NS-5 10-Pack: $17.99. 5-Pack of Various: $8.99. 5-Pack contains: Spooner (different then Audi Spooner), Robertson, Dr. Calvin, Sonny, NS-4, and Dr. Lanning. Availability: Limited, but still able to get in speciality shops. I'm not sure how much a "k" is, but I'd say 5,500 of each set world wide. Side note: how would you do a VIKI minimate? Seriously.

    PALz

What do you guys think of PALz? Do you like them? Hate them? Mildly respect them? Don't have any idea what they are? I almost made this a poll, but thought that would be too complicated. I have seen and played with ONE, Deep Throat from "The X-Files". He's pretty cool, actually, but not nearly as good as Minimates. But, then again, part of the reason I like Minimates so much is that they have lines I actually like. I don't watch Die Hard or X-Files. However I do read comics, read LOTR, and have seen Star Trek, etc. What do you guys think of PALz? More importantly, do you have any?
  19. I can't at the moment, but for an immediate picture go to MMC here and here. (Thanks Danny!) Rad, in my experience, that happens ALLLL the time. Facial detailing randomization. FDR. My friend collects minimates too, and he ALWAYS seems to get the ones with lower FD. It's weird, but because of that his Sentry and Speed Racer have really big foreheads. Also, sometimes FD can be higher, and result in a big jaw (like the DVD Capt. America, although that wasn't really random, just bad design). Another thing that can happen is that sometimes the facial detailing is moved up some so that...ok, get a minimate in your hand. Take it's head off. At the bottom of the head you'll notice there's a sort of "curve" or "lip" that edges into the flat bottom of the head. Well, sometimes the FD is moved up so there isn't any paint until AFTER that "curve", which results in the face appearing as though it has a double chin of sorts, especially on the Thing and Spider-Man.
  20. Yeah, you all know I have always been one. Since the inception of this forum and the AA for a while. I have always had so much to say to you guys, but my dad only recently let me sign up. But yeah, this whole "lurker" idea is a little strange to me.
  21. See? SEEEE? AA, why can't you be like Nervous over here?
  22. That's what I was thinking when I saw that. Can he even move? See, though, ToyBiz seems to have it in their heads that kids will now officially buy ANYTHING if it has to do with Spider-Man. And for the most part, that seems to be proving itself true. Yeah, I used to like the Marvel Legends predecessor, the REAL "Spider-Man Classics". The ones like Man-Spider, Rhino, Captain Universe and yes, the Scarlet Spider. As for my fave SMC costume? It's hard to distinguish that question from "fave SMC altogether". Right now I am really hooked on going out and buying all the House of M action figures I can. So, my current fave (that I don't have) would be the latest Spider-Sense Spider-Man. Not to say I am not sick of crappy "features". I hate "features" altogether.
  23. Spectacular! I love it. I've watched this with my siblings so many times. :D
  24. Wow, that's...a lot. I noticed, not to be rude or anything, but your Unmasked Dr. Doom's facial detailing is much lower then any I've seen.
  25. Yeah, um, jcastick? Pardon me, but could you repeat that?
