  1. Oh yeah. -said as bursting thru brick wall
  2. Finished THREE customs today! AOA Abyss: AOA Dazzler & Exodus:
  3. They look awesome! Hob lob has become my new toysrus for minimate parts. It also helps they are both located in the same strip mall too.
  4. I think those are the same stick on beads I used for my AOA Strong Guy/Guido correct? Did you get them at Hobby Lobby?
  5. If it's something you want and it's hard to come by, I'd go for it if you can find at a somewhat higher price because odds are it's only going to get harder to find and more expensive. Don't feel bad- I spent over $100 to get the fireball island board game. The box is the size of my couch cushion.
  6. Just tried it last night while grilling in the backyard and using our pug Brody as a fill in minimate. Super easy to use, great music, and my favorite option, the onion skin/grid which ghosts your last shot so you can accurately line up the figures for the next movement. Wish my old shoulder camcorder had that back in the day when I tried stop motion using toy biz x-men figures in our ping pong table.
  7. They can get tight from time to time. I've had to struggle with a few here and there but never had any break. The head usually goes flying across the room or under my desk at work and I have a scratch fron the head nub, but nothing serious. If it's really difficult I'd suggest putting the figure in a vice and using tweezers, but that may scratch up the figure.
  8. The Real Ghostbusters for me. The likeness, the detail on the packs, the pegs for the PKE/Trap. Had (almost) all the toys and firehouse as a kid. Loved seeing all my favorites (TMNT, He-Man) getting an updated 6 inch line but when I heard that the animated show wasn't getting the same treatment I was..... Minimates are so much better! I love arranging them in my GB firehouse diorama with all the ghosts from the movies and cartoon. Lots of action figures = too much space. Minimates are perfect solution. Only wish they would have made a People Buster box set. Now that I know they aren't continuing the line- it'll be safe to start customs.
  9. Took a break from one obsession (iPad) and back to another (minimates). Finished my AOA Bishop over lunch... Cloak was from Old Man Logan (wolverine box set), skirt from Gwen Conliffe (werewolf box set). Gloves from AOA Rogue. Boots from Jim Lee Cyclops. Left on the custom dock, but near complete: - Jubilee - Lila Cheney - X-Man - Exodus - Dazzler - Iceman (repaint) Gathering parts: - Abyss - Mikhal Individual and team shots coming, then one HUGE group shot of the entire AOA gang.
  10. In the 'it'd never happen, but would be sweet' department- How about a Minimates Thru the Ages set? -1st minimates, Stark Trek giant size -Random figure from first wave (ultimate x-men) -MAX Sentinel or Galactus -Minimate with Vehicle Eh? EH?
  11. Spotted this over on comics alliance, a free iTunes app for making your own stop motion DC Lego (or even minimate) movies. Haven't tried it myself, but looks simple/fun enough. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/04/19/lego-dc-universe-super-hero-movie-maker-app-free-video/
  12. Had an exceptionally great weekend/days off. While I didn't get to work on minimate customs I was able to track down my bishop parts and put him together today- along with X-Man. I should have those done by the end of the week. In other news.... As an early b-day gift from my wife (and thanks to some great deals at my local Meijer store) I picked up an iPad. Plaining around with it (for quite some time) I started reading some comics and have officially decided: I'm done with buying paper issues from this point forward. My goal is to do a clean sweep of my entire comic collection and only re-buy/download the issues I know I'll reread again. Plus, my friends have the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Avengers comic cds from awhile back that now thanks to iCloud I can view as cbz files on the iPad. So, if anyone has holes in their collection or looking for missing issues- let me know. Off the top of my head I have the following books, bagged/boarded and sitting in a long box: -JSA (geoff johns run with Alex Ross covers) 1-20 -Shanna the she devil mini -Jim Lee X-Men (up until X-Cutioner's song) -John Byrne FF 232---(up to Heroes Reborn/Onslaught) -Todd McFarlene Spider-man, Brand New Day, single issues -Fantastic Four "4" mini (30 ish, I think) -What if? (various, all series) -Identity Crisis -House of M -Secret Invasion -Civil War -Flash (Michael Turner covers) -some DC 52 -IDW Ghostbusters -IDW Rocketeer -Barnes and Noble Ultimate Spider-man Hardcover (HUGE) I also have several trades, I can look more tonight and post a more comprehensive list and prices later. PM if interested.
  13. I made an animated series Peter using the green goblin/spidey two pack umasked head with hair from cyclops.
  14. Jackpot! Found the wolverine thru the ages box set after visiting three comic shops while on vacation. Now I can use old man logans jacket to make aoa bishop. Bought a hammer drone/pepper Potts on clearance too! (:
  15. Great cake! Have a great birthday! Hope u get some minimates!'
  16. Still more! AOA Banshee: Hair was from alternate 1985 Biff Tannen. Wings were from Mr. Sinister. Yeah, I was wondering what do with that exactly. When I was referencing him, I spotted the old Toy Biz figure that came with something similar. It really does give him that wind blown look. I know I didn't just want him standing still- had to be in a running pose. This nailed it.
  17. I think I have my recipe for AOA Bishop- but missing some parts. Does anyone have an extra RGB Saumheim, 90's Bishop, and Gwen Conliffe from Wolfman box set for trade? It'd be a HUGE help. Thanks guys/gals.
  18. Once I get the last few customs done, I'll do one massive group shot. Does anyone happen to have an extra Mina harker (dracula) and Gwen conliffe (wolfman) for trade? Pm me if you do... (:
  19. Has anyone tackled AOA Bishop? He's the one character I've been avoiding simply because I don't have the parts. I was thinking his 90's head along with the Battlestar Cavin cloak... On a happier note, I stumbled across parts for X-Man.
  20. A Mojo minimate would be sweet- and with Dazzler and Longshot already being made. It can't be far off..............right?
  21. Thanks!! I'm still on the fence if I want to keep his all white hands. I started off doing just a highlight, then got greedy with it and next thing I know the entire thing is white. D'OH! I got a little sloppy on the hair too- I'm being too critical I think. Probably go back and clean it up with blue again. I LOVE the way the pieces fit together here (Lady Deathstrike, GB Theater Ghost) just not 100% sold on my rushed paint job. Quicksilver took longer than I thought- printing the decals, cutting, gluing in place and then touch-up paint. Have the decals made for Dazzler, just need to sculpt the hood hair and this team will be complete......oh yeah, almost forgot Exodus. He's 90% complete.
  22. Finished my custom AOA Iceman: and Quicksilver:
  23. If you need any new figures or looking to trade, PM me. Welcome back.
  24. This was just a leftover Halloween prop I had in my case. I could photoshop it on.
