  1. This is awesome. What is the full recipe for this custom, if you don't mind sharing? I also read you updated Conan with new wrist bands? is there an updated picture of him? Excellent work on your Minimate customs, I really like them. Rich
  2. I am/was kind of indifferent on the Logo change, becase I can certainly see what you are referring to with the toilet seat thing. I actually had no idea they changed it up in 2005, it is quite soon again to be changing it already
  3. Totally not related to this topic at all, but is that Judge Dredd Minimate you have in your avatar?? Is it a custom, as i wasn't aware they'd released one officially? Rich
  4. I'm really surprised that given the popularity of this Super Villain that Kang hasn't been made, he was quite the sought after guy in the Fantastic Four Classics,(ML scale), then they re-released him more recently in the Hasbro ML line. Maybe he could be released in 4 pack of Marvel Super Villains or something??
  5. Hi Guys, So I'm at the stage now where I can start to map out my second build, but i'm more than a little torn over which building/scene to make? My heart says I should do Iron Man and Stark Enterprises, I mean it will have alot of cool features and look very high tech, plus out of the Marvel characters IM is probably my favourite (I used him alot on MUA) However recently, and probably during the Batcave build i've wanted to lean more towards the X-Men Mansion, the thought of building that architecture and design to the front, then having the Danger Room and main lobby to make would be a challenge. Then we come to the Baxter Building, Home of the Fantastic 4. I've been working my way to assembling the Fantastic 4 in my Minimates Collection, and i'd recently rewatched the Movie. So I decided at this early stage to Poll it and see what you guys think, obviously the final decision still rests with me, but i'd like you guys to put forward your thoughts on this, which do you think is more deserving or interesting? or do you have another Marvel/DC build you think i should concentrate my time on? Don't worry, I haven't abandoned the Batcave, it's just that as i am now at the modification and final stages i'm left twiddling my thumbs both with lego and the LDD app, so its best i have a secondary pre-project to work on. Thoughts, Ideas & Opinions are welcome. I'd also appreciate any helpful links or pictures to these places so I could use them as inspiration and my go to pictures when designing. In friendship Rich
  6. I heard the guy traded it for a......... Oh wow. I should totally NOT post any bad things that happen to me on this forum in fear of ridicule and general good banter. I doubt very much any of you would want to poke fun at my illness, but i have lost man points recently because out of the groups of music i listen to i seem to favour the female singers. The good news is that I've since completed my second deal for more Minimates with 'buttheadsmate' and i'm excited about the prospect of working on this working Elevator for the Batcave. Rich
  7. Awesome, don't forget if you have any other questions regarding these pieces just ask, i've searched bricklink quite a bit so its quicker for me to link you to them than it is for you to trawl through their extensive catalogue! I will be doing a full pictoral building guide for the various additional parts of the Batcave i've added to, it will most likely be added on my blog or website when i finish the complete build. Rich
  8. Happy Birthday! Hope you've had a wonderful day  Rich
  9. Ah! Sorry, right those grated panels are 1x4 regular tiles, the grated design is actually a sticker from the most recent Garage sets. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=7642stk01 it would be far easier for you to acquire those stickers and less costly rather than buying the Lego Garage set just to obtain the sticker sheet  I will probably get round to doing an Alfred custom at some point, as it doesn't look like he'll be released officially. Rich
  10. You would need to get these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2431px2 They are decorated 1x4 Tiles. Don't worry about asking questions, i encourage it and i'll do all i can to help and share Thank You so much for your positive comment! I'm glad you like it. Bruce Wayne's Study Room (3rd Floor) As some of you have been following my developments, I have extended the 3rd floor to include a study for Bruce Wayne, so that while working in his Study he gets a call and walks out onto the 3rd floor Balcony in front of the Grandfather Clock. Today I spent some time figuring out the space i had on the 3rd floor, as well as working out the size of each furniture pieces and where they will go, I'd originally planned a bigger study but due to the space requirements some of my other ideas had to be culled. Never the less i think this layout works aces anyway and it will look great when it is installed. Here are the WIP pictures, obviously the Grey you see for the bookcase and sofa will be swapped out with Brown. I hope you like the update, Yesterday I put an order through for the Power Functions Pieces and when they arrive i'll begin major work on the lift and elevator chamber. This will be the most complex and challenging part to the whole of the Batcave, I have also recently modified the Grandfather clock and done significant work on the 3rd floor balcony, however I am having to wait on Paint Apps drying before I can take a full photograph. They'll hopefully be some clearer shots of this in tomorrows update. Rich
  11. I just added you to my flickr friends list and commented on your customs folder over there, awesome customs, i'm not all familiar with some of the characters you've done but they do look great! Rich
  12. Don't fight it, embrace it.. not with open arms but with an open wallet. Welcome to MMMV. Have a great time collecting Minimates. Rich
  13. Ah Yes, I retrieved it. Thank you Geohound I shall check these stud measurements with what i have here, in the mean time does anyone have pictures and can provide measurements for the smaller batmobile? EDIT: Having measured just the length alone, i can tell the large batmobile is way too big, even to add bricks in, it would be ridiculously out of scale, consider from my photos the baseboard i am using is 48 studs long by 48 studs wide, the large batmobile is 34 studs long according to Geohounds count, it would look ridiculous parked under the archway, even if i added another 2-3 bricks to the height, it just would look so out of scale. If someone could assist me here in the measurements for the smaller batmobile, this > http://www.minimatedatabase.com/pack.php?i=239&n=Mini+Batmobile I'd be most grateful, I need to establish if either Batmobile is going to work for me and the Batman and this batcave, if neither are suitable my alternative is to merge the two ideas into 1 vehicle of medium size possibly a full lego rebuild model specifically for this build. Many thanks Rich
  14. If it is not too much trouble, could I ask a request of someone on the forum? If you have both versions of the c3 Batmobile, assembled please could you take a picture of them side by side, and if it is not too much trouble could you post up the measurement dimensions of both vehicles below the photograph? I'd like to know how many studs, wide, height and length ways the vehicles are. By studs I mean the small circular thingies on the bricks, (it's a lego term). I thought this might be the best place to post a request like this as it is to do with compatibility, i'd like to know the dimensions of the vehicles in preparation for my Batcave build and i'd be very grateful for your assistance. I've heard the larger batmobile is out of scale (too big) and yet the smaller batmobile is .. well too small and not detailed enough.. so i'd like a look at these two properly before i make a decision. Rich
  15. Sorry to hear about your furnace but waay congrats on getting Galactus, i've seen him in photos and he looks great!
  16. I haven't seen the other packaging for the Age of X set so i can't really comment on that, i do like the Minimates Logo as it is. ^I think the fun and bold design points certainly towards the minimates versatility and easy customizable figure. I think this is spot on. I wonder how many fans of Minimates feel the logo needs updating? Rich
  17. Aquaman? ... *looks at list* Actually he is on my Wants list!! I've got a pending order actually for the first series of MvC that has been shipped out by BBTS. Not sure when they will arrive as they are coming via USPS, maybe sometime next week? I've also got an outstanding deal to snag some More Marvel & Dcs that were on my Priority character list, these are: Absorbing Man, Captain America, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor In Battle Armor, Ms.Marvel, Professor Xavier, 90s Storm, The Riddler, Ultron & Venom. With those coming in sometime next week or so I should be up to the 70s number soon. Rich
  18. Awesome Idea, I'm not sure how to merge that last post i done called mini-fun into the old funny picture thread? I think maybe a mod should move it if it's in the way Rich
  19. Got these two in the mail this morning. YoY! Minimate tally now is 53 I'm really pleased with how quickly i've got myself back on track with my collection, I think the only minimates i'm missing now from last time are Cyborg, Raven, Lobo & Ambush Bug, but if i'm brutally honest i am not that bothered with acquring those just yet anyway. I've got much bigger fish to catch, of course i'm using fish as a metaphore, what i really mean is minimates Rich
  20. Wow! That Batman animation by Nikkitony on YT is really well done, Mad skills! I noticed he had the Mega bloks carry case, I used to have that and used it in a Joker picture a while back, its great for using as city scenery! The Batman & X-men ones are cool too, The lighting in these is similar to what i used to get with my videos, i was always struggling with lighting & fluidity in the movement of the figures, my understanding with the fluidity is that you need more frames per animation? As for the lighting in my own videos i have no idea, i done some gijoe stop motion animations but they weren't very good because of the lighting, i had 2 different light sources and still couldn't get it bright enough! Awesome animations! I love the Spider-man scene where doc Ock throws him down the building and he swings back into action, nicely done :-) The lighting in your videos is way better than what i could manage on mine, did you use any extra powerful lightsource to highlight everything?
  21. I just got sent this one on my facebook and thought it was rather cool. http://youtu.be/_1Y0WphbqqA
  22. A thread for my pictures? Sorry I didn't realise I messed up. *my bad* Thanks! Seeing as though i'll be some time now from waiting on parts for the Batcave i thought i'd do a few more, i'm probably going to add to these at some point. Although as above it seems they'll be moved to another thread? I don't mind so much, but i couldn't find a thread to put them in and everyone seemed to have their own thread? so Idk.
  23. I thought seeing as though people had a thread for their daily photos showing a humerous side to minimates I thought i'd post my own up? These aren't new, they are over a year or so ago from the last time I collected, given the fact my hands are in other projects I probably wont be updating this daily but if i think of any others i'll post them up  Roll-out Hair cut Which Team? Plastic Houses Emergencies Jaffa Cake Battle
  24. so not so much Lockjaw as Loosebuttocks I like the cinematic design on the photo and it has plenty of detail.
  25. I liked the Deadpool & Hulk ones as i saw them on facebook recently. I haven't been on Instagram? Is it Like flickr?
