  1. I have to admit, that is pretty bloody awesome!
  2. I definite think there's room to revisit Marvel's first family, and also get some FF villains into the mix, similar to what they did with wave 24 for Spidey.
  3. Yeah the sign stunt where you aim one car at it to drop the other car is very cool, and repeated in the fire department set. If you like Micro Motors I recommend Donut Dash as well cos you get to shoot the car through the hole in the big donut sign
  4. Tony will be OK, he can bring his robot arm with the fire suppressent! Loved that thing in the first movie
  5. Yes he is certainly the highlight of the set for most people I would say. Posting that film still makes me want the Minimate even more.
  6. I really liked the Hostile Takeover set because I was having a hard time finding the movie wave (a bit late to the party on that one) and this set is very similar, as has been mentioned. I love that Stark, he's great, but the others, not so essential unless you don't get a chance to get the non-damaged versions. I agree that they were a bit stuck when it came to Nick Fury seeing as the Ultimate one is the same character. I would speculate now that Black Widow will be in a short-packed TRU 2-pack.
  7. Well, bigger pics convinced me I needed a case of these beauties! Thanks NR!!!
  8. I've tried to avoid spoilers about the film but couldn't resist a peek at the army builders. And I like the look of them. I get a bit of a Halo vibe from them hehe. I think, as people have said, these will work as generic robot/mecha badguys to fight as well as being tied to the IM2 film.
  9. Really nice blog you have there! I almost got the Lego Army Men today but just felt they were tad expensive for an impulse buy.
  10. Fate Testarossa is a character in the Nanoha series, yes. There is a Strikers one (ie 3rd season when they are in their late teens) one based on when she was at school with Nahoha (2nd season) and one based on the movie (which is a retelling of the first season, so her and Nanoha are younger still).
  11. Depends on who reviews them hehe! For me, characters who are bare-torso'd should have detailing on the back. Minimates like Kraven even have it when their torso is covered, so there's really no excuse.
  12. From Strikers I have Nanona, Fate, Hayate and Signum. I know Vita and Shamal are being released soon, along with School Uniform Fate and Nanoha (one of which is an exclusive, not fussed on either though), and figures from the upcoming Movie - which means loli Fate from season 1
  13. I think he means the gas station roof looks like a processed cheese slice. I think! I bought the 2 car packs I was missing so now just need the Gas Station and Car Wash (if I ever see them again, come on toy karma!) and the big police station set with the helicopter.
  14. Thanks for the kind words TM2, as a longtime fan I appreciate your support! Glad you're getting your Minimates fix these days
  15. I never got into Ghostbusters 2 as much as the first film. So these are probably a pass for me. But should be a solid wave for TRU in terms of character recognition.
  16. I finally, finally FINALLY saw the other 2 "deluxe" sets (Car Wash and Gas Station) after months of nothing but Donut Dash and Micro Motors. And, being the gent I am, gave them to my work colleague because I'd got his two young sons into Streetz last year. Toys are for kids at the end of the day, right? I really hope I see them again! They were the only 1 of each that they had.
  17. I stopped playing MW2 campaign at the "defend the download" part on the Estate map. Was tired of having no help from my stupid AI team-mates. I stopped playing Shadow Complex because it stupidly forces you to find all the items. I've started Bayonetta (really liked the demo) but will probably get stupid at some point soon. Then roll on Mass Effect 2!
  18. Thanks to Joey for the BIB hairpiece confirmation. And Miry, thanks for the background info on Molecule Man. I love the reviews by the guys at OAFE, but they are much longer and detailed, leading off with bios and a full history of the character. To be brutally honest, I'm too lazy to do much research and usually, if I've bought a Minimate, it's cos I like it. More obscure characters though, I do struggle with writing about as really all I have is the Minimate itself, rather than being able to talk about a representation of a character I like.
  19. I think they have seen how successful Nolan's reboot of Batman has been and thought "Why pay Raimi/Maguire/Dunst tons of money to come back when we can just reset it all again". You do get some baggage 4 films in but that's just par for the course. I have loved all 3 Spider-Man films but as has been mentioned I have no desire to watch a remake of Spider-Man again in 2 years time. However there is ALWAYS a massive kid audience who are always into Spidey. So in some ways a reboot does make sense, but it's not going to be a film I personally will be waiting with baited breath for.
  20. Great news for our Canadian friends seems a positive selection, let's hope it's the first of many.
  21. I absolutely loved Pilot Batman and the jet pilot definitely uses the same flight mask. That is so bought! Even if the black jet is just a black pilot instead of red, that's fine by me.
  22. Thanks for the assist NorthRaider! And if they haven't faced off in comics, I'm sure there's plenty of slashfic of them, er, going at it.
  23. I hate the look of the DeLorean but that is a very cool version of Marty.
