Well, after spending some time with both Firefox 2.0 and IE 7.0, I am still undecided which one I like better. When I open the exact same webpages in both browsers, IE uses more RAM. However, when I start closing tabs, IE frees up that RAM, while Firefox does not. Sometimes I have found Firefox hogging nearly half a gig of RAM for no apparent reason. Despite the new tab browsing in IE, I still find the Firefox tab browsing to be easier. I also like the user-interface on Firefox better. Some pages still load incorrectly in Firefox, but that is probably more the fault of the web designer than anything.
I guess I will have to give it more time.
