  1. Thanks guys! I will be releasing a demo in about two weeks. BTW, the video recording software I am using drops the framerate down significantly, which is why it looks a little choppy in the video. The actual game runs at around 27-30 fps.
  2. Hit the "Prt Scrn" on your keyboard to save an image from the game into your clipboard. Then open any image editing program, such as Paint, and paste the image into it and then save it as a JPG.
  3. What operating system are you using? All Windows OS have a screensaver called slideshow. Just point it to the folder where the loading screen images are.
  4. I have been working on a survival horror PC game called Darkest Island for the last few months with my little brother. We are making a big push right now to release the game by Christmas. Darkest Island is the story of a man named Daniel who wakes up in a bloody hospital bed on a remote island with no knowledge of how he got there. A girl's voice echoes in his mind, begging for him to come and rescue her, and promising to help him get off the island. Daniel finds that this hospital is actually a research facility, and the inhabitants are no longer human. These zombie-like creatures are not the only enemies that Daniel makes. Soon he has armed soldiers hunting him as well. The story of the facility unfolds as Daniel makes his way into the dark center of the island. Screenshots: And here is the trailer: Darkest Island (WMV, 7.9MB) The game should be released before Christmas via online download.
  5. Here is my entry: 1280 x 1024 1024 x 768 800 x 600
  6. I think the only good racing game right now for the Wii is Excite Truck. The other choices are Need for Speed Carbon, GT Pro, and 4x4 Monster Truck, but all of those games have been getting pretty lousy reviews. Excite Truck is really fun. The only thing bad I can say about it is that I wish it had 4 player multiplayer instead of just 2.
  7. My list is all Nintendo stuff: 1. Excite Truck (Wii) 2. Trauma Center (Wii) 3. Call of Duty 3 (Wii) 3. Yoshi's Island (DS) 4. Elite Beat Agents (DS) 5. Wii Virtual Console Point Card
  8. My favorite changes every few years. Currently it is minimates (the only toy line I collect). In the past it has been Movie Maniacs, World of Springfield, and Marvel Legends. But those have all went the way of the eBay. However, I don't see myself changing from minimates anytime soon.
  9. I would buy the minimates, but I would not be interested in vehicles. I think these should definitely be in the 2" scale. I think the more detailed style would be the way to go with these. And I think the prices and quantities described above sound like a good bet.
  10. I will post my code later too. I have put the most time into Wii Sports so far. It is very addicting! Zelda is also amazing of course. I haven't put much time into Rayman yet. Super Monkey Ball is a mixed bag. Some of the party games are really fun, and some are frustrating as hell, and the motion sensor doesn't work very well. I think they rushed some of the party games in order to make it out by launch. But the motion sensor works perfectly on all the other games.
  11. After waiting in line for 8 hours, the Wii is mine! That is all I can say for now. Zelda is calling to me...
  12. I got to play Excite Truck on the Wii at my local Gamestop today. It was really fun! I will definitely be picking it up at launch. I also made a Mii, but it looks like the only other person to make one so far at that Gamestop was the asian guy working behind the counter. So we were the only Mii's wandering around.
  13. Do you have a link to that article? I am curious to read it, and their website is a pain to navigate.
  14. I have an iPod Nano 2GB that I got for my birthday earlier this year. It is much easier to use than my wife's Sandisk mp3 player. I don't have any experience with the video ones, but I have been really happy with my Nano.
  15. Thanks TK Here is another great resource: http://minimateheadquarters.com/blog/2006/...ustomizing-101/
  16. I am waiting in line on Sunday morning at Target for a Wii. I have a bunch of friends coming, some of whom are not even gamers, who all are buying one too. I am getting Zelda, Red Steel, and Monkey Ball right away, and my wife and I are both asking for more games for Christmas. Sunday can't come soon enough!
  17. Thanks JL! Here is another banner, I thought it might help drive sales of this cool playset:
  18. Thanks Donny, I have wanted a larger logo for a while now.
