Thank you, Zach. I did not realize I have been on MMMV for four years now. Nor did I realize I have posted a couple hundred times. WOW! But I honestly have never heard of "Sample Cases" that is why I asked and I am very greatful for you explaining it to me. I guess that means TRU should have their Legacy Wave about the time it was stated they would have them, End of May I think it was or first of June. I know I read they were coming out about a month before the LCS wave was hitting. I must get the TRU Trek mates as I need three sets of each at the very least and I know my local TRU does not get stock like the ones in Major cities. I am not sure where I will get the money for them but I will buy out my local TRU. I need one set to keep sealed, one to open for display and one to use for customizing. However, I may have to get extra Cpt. Archer's from Luke as I hope he will have then for sale as loose mates, cause I won't need all the extra Xindii. Thank you for being such a great source of help and information on here. I always enjoy your insights and updates.

So Zach, could you share with a novice here what do you mean by "Sample Case" and "TRU Samples are in so look for them in a month"? Do TRU stores get sample cases? How does one know about sample cases and how to get sample cases? I would love me a few samples from sample cases and I have not heard of "Sample Cases" before. Thank you in advance, Zach.

We only have one distribution outlet, and it's our sister company Diamond Comics. Retailers get regular updates. What took so long was getting the sales necessary to greenlight production. Ship was modified slightly, as well -- lots of engineering challenges. Early proto photos are not really accurate any more -- see the Tribble Enterprise for a more accurate picture. Rushing the product out is not going to make the line last longer. It's not like our license expires in December. We're in the Trek business for the long haul. That actully makes me not as upset for the delay, I appreciate you providing such an explanation. Thak you, Zach. I am just hoping that you will share with us if the legacy line is going to be delayed or if that is planned to be on time for both the LCS and TRU (cause the TRU versions will be hard for me to get and I need them as well.) I always enjoy your customs. I can often see the story in the characters you make. I have some images now for me to start my story with my customs for Oberon's Children (The Third Race). I have also added some images of my "Revolution" minimates and some updated shots of my Trek Customs. Thank you for sharing all of your customs and I alway look foward to your posts.

Why are they pushing the release date around so much? What could possibly make it take so long? I am getting tired of waiting and yet I really want the relaunch of the Star Trek Minimate line to push onward and last for enough time to get all the major characters besides all the captains. It is just frustrating not only for us collecters but I can only imagine the stress and headaches on the distribution outlets that have to keep readdressing the issue with the retailers.

Just visited your Cookbook site and it is nice, looking forward to getting more ideas for my future customizing from it once you add more recipes. Thank you for making such a site for us to use for ideas and sharing the love of customizing.

So does anyone have confirmed reports of the Minimate Enterprise getting released on April 24th? I am really wanting to get that ship and get it on display at my office. I may only get the one but I am openning it and displaying it. I am just tired of waiting for it as I thought it was originally to have been released in November 2012.

Works In Progress, but I am preparing for the Legacy Series One Star Trek Minimates and wanted to have mates to join Captain Archer once he arrives. T'Pol Charles "Trip" Tucker, III and Hoshi Sato (WIP) I will have to paint the hair on Sato black and maybe trim the bangs on it but I like the ponytail on it for that character. I am using X-men First Class uniforms as stand-ins for Enterprise Uniforms but not sure I will get a femail uniform for Sato so I am not sure. Working on an idea for Reed but I am out of African American Mates to make a Mayweather. But I will need to order at least three more Archers to make the crew in full minus Phlox. Not sure I am going to go that far out with the crew. (I have since obtained the ponytail hairpiece from Gwen Stacy and painted it black for Sato. I am still toying face ideas but will try to post an updated WIP soon.) I have several more things coming but just need to get the time to take some photos and get them uploaded on my computer. I have read that the talents behind the popular tv show "Once Upon A Time" might be making a spin-off that involves Wonderland which has some links to the show but could become a stand-alone show in its own accord. I got to thinking that it would be interesting if there would be a tie-in to the Land of Oz at some point in the "Once Upon A Time" Universe. I have thus started working on some customs of characters from the Land of Oz and the tales related to it. I have an Aunt Em and Uncle Henry and will be making a Dorothy. (I am going to be using an Alice and Mirage with some paint to Alices shoes to make ruby slippers.) I have made a Tinman-like figure, only in my thoughts he is a knight who was in love with the lost-twin sister to Regina Mills. He would have had his heart removed by Regina and then cursed to become an Axe-handed woodsman that was bonded to his metal armor and driven mad by the fact that he could not love the woman of his former desires. I have also made a Scarecrow of sorts. He is a few parts to make him look put together. I did some mild painting to make some spots look like the color of hay. I have him holding a pitchfork as he, too, is mad from having to be who he is and not with the one he loves. I have also made a man to represent the lion. However, this a a man wearing a lion's head vest. He is a man who was walking in the woods and was attacked by the cowardly lion and in pure fear of his life used his bare hands to kill the beast. But once the lion died the curse that made the lion a coward befell this man. He now must wear the vest not as sign of how brave he was but as a symbol of his cowardliness and the fact that he took an innocent life., I am now working on the Witches and my stories for each of them and how to work Regina into the mix. If The Land of Oz was to have a tie-in with "Once Upon A Time", it would be unlike the tales we know from the movies/musicals. It would have some dark elements to it. Thank you for viewing.

Revolution Minimates are now something I am working on. I try my best to not have to paint or scuplt anything but from time to time I will need to. Miles Matheson (Uncle to Charlie) Charlie Matheson (the leading lady of the series) Danny Matheson (Little Brother to Charlie and sacraifices himself to save the others) Rachel Matheson (Mother to Charlie and Danny, also knows what caused the global blackout and how to reverse it.) Nora Clayton (Rebel and Friend of Miles Matheson) I am working on a Monroe but I am not sure he will be anytime soon. I only hope that Revolution will come back next Fall because it is a GREAT Show and I hope to get Monroe finished before the end of this season.

Dress Uniform Scotty now with the sash that hangs off the left shoulder. Still need to get the nerve to do the chest details but here he is almost complete. Also Harry Mudd from "Mudd's Women" Trelane from "Squire of Gothos", artistic licensing as I did not want to cut up the chest piece. I collected the Playmates Star Trek figures from the late 90's and have almost all of them. I am missing the elusive 1701 figures from the original release. I did buy the box set of them when they reissued them with out the foot numbering system, but not the same. I also I am missing the Data in red command uniform, and TNG Thomas Riker in packaging (I do have a loose one I got at a garage sale for $2 with all accessories.) Then there is the Transporter series Deanna Troi and Reginald Barclay that were announced but I don't think ever got released other than prototype form. I was able to get the Special Convention figures of Sulu and Scotty from the second TOS pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before". I did get the European card versions of Dr. Crusher and Seven of Nine. Other than the 1701 figures and Data and T. Riker, I have them all. I also collected the AA/DST 7" Star Trek figures. I had all of them at first then they got so very hard to find so I gave up on them. I am missing Worf & Gowron 2 pack, Spock & Kirk from ST4 2pack and Romulan Kirk and the Romulan solider. I am missing Captian Picard in command Chair and the Kirk and Pike in Command chairs. But I just lost interest in them when they got so exclusive and elusive and made in such small quantities. As for Minimates, I have all the Star Trek minimates released for retail at this time with my Holy Grail being Elf Spock which I only have the one. I typically try to get at least two of each if not more. I preordered the custom case from Luke for the LCS Legacy custom case now I just have to be sure to get the TRU release for at least three sets as I need to customize for other characters.

Really like the Sliders mates. I really liked that show and I was surprised is lasted beyond the first season. It got wierd when Wade, Arturo and Quinn left the show but I liked it none the less. Your Rembrandt and Arturo look very good. Rembrandt is Ver Darn Good likeness. I think the face used for Arturo looks good. Wade and Quinn are in the parts you used for them. Thank you for sharing them with us. I am surprised I never thought of making them. I only wish I had a lot more funding for my minimate habit. Then I too could make nice customs like these. Thank you.

Okay, I am sorry I have not posted lately. I am still working on gathering parts for my Star Trek Customs and for Once Upon A Time and Revolution. I am still tinkering with a Bashir from DS9, Tuvok from Voyager as well as waiting for the official Janeway and Seven of Nine to come in my custom Legacy case from Luke. I have in the works, a Vulcan in ceremonial robes, Kirk from "Patterns of Force" as a Nazi soldier, Kirk from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture". I also did a quick custom for Harry Mudd that is from his first appearance. Another quick custom I have is Trelane from "The Squire of Gothos". I am already trying to get T'Pol made. Iam also getting parts together to make Trip and Hoshi Sato from Star Trek Enterprise. I will use an Archer body to make Trip and I may have to have decals made for Sato. I am not sure about Mayweather and Reed at this point but I will not make Phlox as I am not good at sculpting. Most of my "Once Upon A Time" (OUAT) customs are based upon Season One Storybrooke versions of the characters. I was thinking of trying to work on a Cora, Regina's mother, just not sure on her parts I will need. I even might try to make LeRoy and maybe Mother Superior (Blue Fairy). I did make a Granny but she is not pictured just yet but will work on getting individual shots fo my OUAT mates posted as soon as I can. I have made a good likeness of Nora from "Revolution" as well as a Rachel and Danny. Might even try to make Monroe. I am also working to make a story like sequence like Prowl-AR does and I am putting the final touches on my Children of Oberon which is a take on a few classics in folklore and other sources.

Okay, maybe I am blind and have not seen it posted or maybe it has not been posted yet. We know that TRU is supposed to get Sisko in vest with a Cardassian, Picard in jacket with a Borg, Janeway with 7of9, but what it their 4th set? So the Cardassian would be the alien, but what is the fourth set or will there be a fourth set? Just curious. Also from the Toy Fair images looks like minimates are going up in price because the place cards with the Star Trek mates say $9.99. That is a $2.50 more than the current mates sell for at my local TRU (which has no new stock since like late January if that recent).

Okay so you are refering to the TOS Enterprise as Skim Milk and so what would the TNG Enterprise-D be? Would there be any chance of a snowball in Death Valley that we would see Enterprise-D in minimate form if the skim milk sells without spoiling? Since Picard has already been offered in all his incarnations, would we get a Riker or LaForge with Enterprise-D? I am one of the fans that would like to see M'ress and Arex as minimates but I do understand they are not the tip of the iceberg at this time. However, I curious if we will see other non-captain Star Trek minimates before the return of Trek mates goes away? Thank you.

I am not sure about ordering a third shp, but I would like the Kirk that comes with that ship. I like the new likeness for the Kirk figures with the ships. If anyone out there orders the ships but does not want the Kirk figure with it, let me know, I may be interested. I just hope my local TRU will get the Star Trek Legacy Wave they are suppose to carry so I can get Janeway and Seven as well as the other figures that the LCS will not get. Thank you.

Okay, Today was the day my local TRU (Bloominton, IL) got their truck and still NO BATTLE BEASTS Minimates. I am fed up with their distribution of this line of minimates. Also, no new minimates of any line. They have not received any new minimates in over two months. I just wanted to get the Bat/Moose set and then maybe would have gotten all the others but at this point I am getting one from TENIME_art (bat and moose) at least. I am beginning to think that my local TRU will never get any new minimates at this point. Most of the others who have posted here stated that they have seen Battle Beasts at thier TRU and that they have long since sold out. Not a single one to show up here in Bloomington, IL. I am a little upset that not all TRU's are included in the distribution cycle. Just venting as I have to get it out or I will go mad.

My desk right now is complete void of anything. My office had to be packed up and stored while they repainted, recarpeted and had new ceiling tiles installed. I hope to make my office a better looking place when I finally get to unpack and put my office back together. I had and will have again, a display next to my desk of several minimates (my new Peter Pan mates, my custom Star Trek mates-several of them at least, and maybe some of my favorite non-trek mates).

I am glad to hear Battle Beasts are selling well, but the TRU located in Bloomington, IL still has never received a single case of these. I am still looking for one set of the Bat & Moose. I have one set coming from TENIME_art, which I am very thankful for his assistance so I can get at least one set. I only hope that by the time the new TRU Star Trek assortment gets released that my TRU here in Bloomington, IL will get a shipment or two so I can get Janeway and Seven. Maybe by then they will at least get the second wave of Battle Beasts.

Nana and TIger Lily are missing from this set and I would like to see them at some point. But you are correct, TENIME_art, we don't need vehicles for every Disney line of minimates. An Aladdin set could be: Aladdin with mini Abu, Jasmine, Razoul and the Sultan. A second Aladdin set could be: Jafar with mini Iago, Genie with mini lamp, Prince Aladdin & Rajah. Carpet could be included with either set or even in both. Then there could be a little Mermaid set that is Prince Eric, Ariel (in mermaid form but include parts to make her human) with mini Flounder, Triton with mini Sebastian and Grimsby. A second Little Mermaid set would be Ursula with mini Flotsam & Jetsam, Max (Eric's dog), Ursula in human form (when she attempts to steal Eric's heart) and Chef Louis. Will need a butcher's knife for the chef and a trident for Triton. No need for any vehicles at all in this set, can u us the Jolly Roger as Prince Eric's boat just remove the pirate mast. For Snow White there could be two five packs. 1) Snow White with Bashful, Sleepy, Dopey and Happy. 2) Charming, Evil Queen, Doc, Grumpy & Sneezy. No need for any vehicles here since there weren't any in the movie other than a horse. Accessories could be pickaxes for the dwarves, a Mirror for the Queen, A sword for Charming, and a mini blue bird for Snow. Not sure how sets would work for Cinderella. 1) Cinderella (in her common attire) with mini Jaq and Gus, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming and the Grand Duke. 2) Lady Tremaine, Anastasia Tremain, Drezella Tremaine & Princess (Royal Ball gown) Cinderella. There could be a vehicle with this line which would be the Pumpkin Carriage and would need Minimate Horses to pull it, so I doubt it would be made. Just some thoughts for a few of the more popular film lines. But I would like to see a box sets of 1) Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy; 2) Donald, Daisy, Clarabelle Cow and Scrooge McDuck; 3) Chip, Dale, Gadget, Monterey Jack with mini Zipper; 4) Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and Shere Khan with Kaa; 5) Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit and Christopher Robin with a mini Piglet.

I was just in Indianapolis and visited the Castleton Square Mall. I found both 4 mate sets and the Jolly Rodger with Wendy and Smee. The ship was $29.50, and the two four packs were each $19.50. While my wife was shocked I spent that much money on Peter Pan minimates, I sort of wish I would have gotten a second set with Hook and Tinker Bell. I will be opening my Peter Pan mates just to display them but not sure how I will do it just yet. I will likely make a background and then set up a case I have that should hold the Jolly Rodger (fully assembled). I am now wishing for future Disney minimates.

Still no Battle Beasts in Bloomington/Normal, IL. I was in Indiana (Lafayette & Indianapolis) and went to several TRUs and they all claimed to have never seen them in-store at this point. Tomorrow is likely the day my local TRU will get them but I am out of cash and have no way to be there because I am out of town. I only wish for two sets of the Bat/Moose mates. Could anyone help me out? I am happy to see what I have that you might need for trade. I would like one set to be in package and the other could be loose if all accessories are included.
