Hey, our local professional basketball team is headed for the playoffs of their league so I made two minimates to show my support. This it my first design and I have him with a keychain attachment so I could maybe clip him to my t-shirt the night of the game. This is my second design to show more of the team's colors on the front of the mate rather than on the side. Then I really like our local professional baseball team so I made two mates for them.

The Twisted Land of Oz (inspired by both Prowl-Ar & the tv series "Once Upon A Time") The Land of Oz as a great and wonderful place to be before Regina (the evil queen) visited there and altered it and then left it in ruins. The Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz was once a young man named Oscar, who really did not have much skill nor did he have any actual magical powers. However, he met a young woman who somehow found herself in Oz. This young woman was about to be married to a king but somehow got pulled into the realm of Oz. Oscar helped this young woman out of the kindness and goodness in his heart. He escorted her to the Emerald City and she was touched by his selfless actions, so she enchanted him with the gift of magic and thus actually helped him get the position as the Wizard of Oz. The young woman was actually enjoying the company of Oscar but he was merely helping the young woman on his own journey to reach the Emerald City. Oscar asked the young woman if there was anything else he could assist her as he was about to finish his business and would be returning to his town to collect his beloved fiancée and help her move to the city. The young woman then felt betrayed and attempted to remove the enchantment she placed on Oscar; however, it did not work. What this young woman did was make him more powerful and thus he banished her from his sight. The witnesses in the Emerald City immediately placed Oscar in the role of the Wizard of Oz. Once the young woman was removed from the city, she started out to find this town where Oscar's fiancée was waiting for him. After a little while she found the town and Oscar's fiancée. They young woman told the fiancée that it was over between her and Oscar. The young woman then explained to the fiancée that she was to be wed to Oscar and become his Sorceress and rule the land of Oz at his side. This made the fiancee very angry and she then stormed out of town and disappeared. The young woman then headed for the west and found a castle guarded by an army. The west was the land of the Winkies and the castle was the home of the Winkie monarch. The monarch was in poor health and was close to death. This young woman requested an audience with the failing monarch. She was granted a brief audience. Upon entering the royal bed chambers, the young woman saw a very fragile elderly woman in a meek bed. The young woman offered the queen the ability to rule the land and be young forever in exchange for lands to the east for her to rule and control as she saw fit. The Winkie Queen was more than willing because she felt she did not have much time and that the offer would somehow not work. After a small enchantation, the young woman asked the Winkie Queen to raise up out of the bed and look in the mirror. The Queen looked in the mirror and found a youthful body looking back only that her skin was now blue and her hair was green. The young woman explained that all magic comes with a price, but she would never age nor have to worry about the lands in the east. The Queen was committed to keeping her promise and used her powers to turn the lands to the east over to this young woman. The young woman then cast a spell to make the queen a wicked woman, thus the creatation of the Wicked Witch of the West. (image coming soon) But this young woman then entered the lands in the east. These lands were very wooded much like the enchanted forest from where the young woman was from. She entered a small clearing to see a young woodsman chopping trees and gathering wood, so she rendered herself invisible to observe. This young woodsman was very attractive and she thought that he would be a suitible husband if she was to be stranded in this land. She continued to observe the young woodsman at work then followed him back to his house where there was this young woman waiting for him. It turns out it was Oscar's fiancee. She was only going to marry Oscar to get out of the town but she secretly was deeply in love with the young woodsman. Out of sheer anger, the young woman revealed herself in visible form only this time she took the form of the Winkie Queen and told the young woodsman that because he loved a woman who would never be true she would remove his heart and make him live forever without any emotions and forever having to chop wood and live in the forest. She reached in his chest and pulled out his beating heart and placed it in a pouch she had. The young fiancée grew very angry and wanted to have the Winkie Queen killed. She took off to go to her father and have him place a bounty on the Winkie Queen's head. What her father then told her was that she was adopted and the Winkie Queen was her sister. The news made the fiancée very irate and she then manifested her own powers and took on a new appearance. (image coming soon) Meanwhile the young woman from the enchanted forest was running toward the Emerald City and crossed paths with a hunter and a cowardly lion whom the hunter was stalking. The young woman cast a spell and merged the cowardly lion with the hunter and thus made a man who hunted those that showed fear or cowardliness.

I will be reposting images in the next day or so as I had reworked a couple of minor issues. I am going to attempt a reworking of my Puck figure as I was given some new ideas by Prowlar. I will upload my new images to my photobucket soon then insert them in my posts as soon as I can. Thank you!

Well I have yet to get the parts I need to attempt Gilligan and Skipper from the classic television series. I have been working on "Revolution" Minimates as well as "Once Upon A Time" Minimates. I have been curious about what it would take to make Classic Doctor Who mates with little sculpting? A few posts back there was an Idea for Carmen Sandiego: Couldn't you use the DC minimate Question for the hat/hair and the coat? I know the coat is not closed but would be would be a nice fit for a custom of Carmen Sandiego. Merely would have to paint the appropriate parts red but could work nicely. Just a thought.

Just got the RG Rick and Zombie Guard. I am curious about the stand that comes with the Zombie Guard. He is wearing boots that do not have the peg hole in the sole, so how are you supposed to use his stand with him? I will be using it with another mate anyway but I was curious about it and what the rest of thought about it. My local TRU just got a case of the Series 3 and all they had left was RG Rick and Dexter packages on the peg hook. I missed the two exclusives.

Never heard of "Mime" Zombie, are you really referring to the "Sailor" Zombie? My local TRU does not have the new Wave 3 TWD mates yet. I am not sure I want any of them but will likely get a package or two just to have for parts or trading. Happy Hunting!

So I am guessing we won't see Legacy Mates in the Brick & Morter TRU's until July since they are pushed back to June 26th. I am so hoping that my local TRU will get them as I do not like to order anything from TRU.com as they are never reliable. I will likely buy three of each set from TRU as well as an extra Picard with Hugh and Sisko with Dukat. I have been waiting on DST to release the Minimate Enterprise since November when I finally ordered it from Luke's. However, it too is not supposed to be released until June 26th. I hope they are true to this release date. I have a lot of money invested in this June 26th release that I really want to see something in hand soon. I am wondering if this delay in releasing the waves and the vehicles will cause any of the sales to drop-off or if DST will be impressed enough to keep the line going for a long time (more than five waves).

The New Children of Oberon (Continued) Just as Puck was in possession of his new body, a large life force arose from the island and took flight off over the Atlantic Ocean headed directly for America. As it hit the halfway point it separated into three equal and individual life forces. Then yet another life force emerged and took off in the direction of Australia. The three life forces that headed to America went on to find Dr. Mabe’s triplet daughters. Lucinda, was the eldest of the triplets. She was very interested in history and how it was being repeated with predictable cycles in human culture. She was always interested in her father's work but did not want to do digging so she took to texts and compared the view points of history from culture to culture and religion to religion. She was very close to her sisters and they always spent as much of their downtime together. They last took spring break together and went to Australia to see their mother. They were each possessed in order of their birth. First, Lucinda Mabe was the eldest (born at 3:00 AM on the 3rd of March) was studying history at Yale when she was possessed at 3:00 AM on the 3rd of June by Luna, the sister of Fate. She was possessed by Luna merely because she was a strong mind with lots of historical knowledge and thus had an untapped talent to view the future of anyone she saw as well as the ability to influence their future if she saw fit. (in black) Next, Phoebe Mabe (born at 3:03 AM) was studying dance at Juilliard when she was possessed at 3:03 AM by Phoebe, the sister of Grace. Phoebe was possessed by Phoebe because she was already a balance of one's physical grace but also of one's spiritual grace. She has compassion and forgiveness and helps keep her sisters in order and acting within reason. She was the peacekeeper in her family. (in green) Finally, Selina Mabe (born at 3:06 AM) was studying Military Strategy at West Point when she was possessed at 3:06 AM by Selene, the sister of vengeance. Selina was the youngest of the triplets and was very orderly and on her way to becoming an officer in the US Army. She was a great leader in her unit. She was possessed by Selene because she was very direct and she really liked standing up for her family, especially her sisters. She was one who dished out discipline and seeks out vengeance when she could do it because she always held a grudge against those that caused her harm or harm to her family. (in red) The life force that headed to Australia was that of Titania, Oberon’s wife. This life force sought out to find Ms. Tatiana Mabe, who was Professor Mabe’s ex-wife. The life force found Tatiana at the beach with her new romantic interest, Dr. Niles Naught. They were on his private beach enjoying the water when the life force took control of Tatiana and then she rejected Dr. Naught and used her magic to wipe his memory of their relationship and that of his fortune and sent him to the slum to await his unknown future. Titania then used the memories that Tatiana had and took to impersonating her body’s life as she waited for her husband, Oberon, to call her to his side. (with purple hair and cape)

The New Children of Oberon: Backstory and Information: Avalon was the land of the Fair Folk. It was ruled over by Queen Mab who was the first ruler of the land. The land was home of the Third Race, which is what the magical & mythical beings called themselves. Apparently this island could only be entered from the magical realm thus it is hidden from traditional three dimensional means. Queen Mab was not a well like ruler and one day her son, Oberon overthrew her from the seat of power and took control of the Third Race. They then became known as the Children of Oberon. They were not all biologically related but they were all linked in the realm of magic and myth. The Third Race consisted of beings that were worshipped as Gods in many of the world’s religions. The Gods of Greece and Rome, The Gods of Egypt, The God of Norse Mythology, as well as those entities worshipped by the ancient Native Americans in North America were all members of this Third Race. The Awakening of Oberon and his children: Archeology Student Preston Owens was in England with his professor, Dr. Robert Mabe, looking for links to the mythical island known as Avalon. Dr. Mabe was doing extensive research at the Oxford Library and sent Owens to a site that was referenced in some report that he read. Owens charted a boat to head to the coordinates that were off the coast near the Isle of Man. The water started getting rough and the sky got cloudy as they approached the coordinates. A mysterious image of a man appeared in front of the boat and spoke to Owens and the crew. This mysterious man said “I am resurrecting my race and we will take human form and live amongst them and soon we will rule the planet. You have been selected to help find humans to take our life forces and let us be reborn.” And with that the boat’s crew was obliterated and Owens was lifted out of the boat and pulled to the mysterious man. Owens noticed that the boat then sunk in the turbulent waters and a glowing of golden light was just under the water’s surface. The image of the mysterious man disappeared and the glowing golden light emerged from the water as an island and Owens landed upon this island. As Owens’ feet hit the ground he was possessed by the life force of Puck, Oberon’s personal servant. Puck, then received a satchel which contained concentrated life forces for the rest of Oberon’s Children except the Lady of the Lake. Puck then took flight to go back to Dr. Mabe to free Oberon’s life force into his body. As Puck lifted off the island the life force of the Lady of the Lake arose and pushed the island back under the water and took off to America to find her new host body. Once Puck (Owens) got to Professor Mabe, he had apparently retired to his room. Puck used his magic to impersonate a maid from the hotel and entered his room. To his surprise, Professor Mabe was not asleep but in the shower so Puck opened the satchel and let out Oberon’s life force. Oberon’s life force floated around the room and then zoomed into the bathroom and possessed Professor Mabe as he was showering. Once the possession was complete Puck felt his powers grow and he returned to his human form of Owens. Oberon was instantly dried off and clothed in his armor. He was now immortal and did not need the armor but he liked the way it felt. He walked into his front room where Puck was and told him to resume his appearance so Puck took on a new form to help with Oberon’s plans. Then Oberon told Puck to open the satchel and let the remaining life forces free to find whomever they felt was worthy of becoming their new hosts. Then Puck opened the satchel and the life forces took flight and went off in all directions.

Back the comments on Series 3 of the original release of Trek Minimates: I found a use for my extra Sareks. I used them for customizing TOS Romulans I used the face for one and the hair for another. I have two more Sareks due to arrive in about a week because part of that order is on backorder, but I hope to make one more TOS Romulan and then one TNG Romulan as for the Sarek bodies, they are great for making customs you have to apply decals or paint to. Anyway, I see Zach's point about multiple purchases, but I guess I fall in the apparently small minority as I will buy duplicates because I wiill work to customize until I get at least a much of each crew I can get without having to sculpt too much. I now have to wait to get extra Archer Mates for my Enterprise crew customs that I am already working on, as well as my Sam Beckett Customs for Quantum Leap. I loved that show as well and with the Scott Bakula face I can now make one, if I could only remember where my Dean Stockwell face from BSG disappeared to, I could make Hal as well. Thank you.

Okay, I like what monkeycrumb just stated. I see exactly what he is going for. I could support this method and would encourage it. I would like to see a box set or two of the TNG crew as they were seen in "Q-Pid". Picard, Data, Troi and LaForge in one set; Riker, Worf, Dr. Crusher and Q in the second set. Then Collectors would likely get two of each set and then the minimate collectors looking for Robin Hood minimate may even get a set or two. I personally would buy three of each set. One of each to keep sealed, one of each to open for display and then one of each to open to use for customizing. Then there could be a box set or two from a specific episode of DS9 that had the crew in very different costums. Then the same could happen for Voyager and Enterprise. Then we could maybe see a box set of the TOS crew in movie uniforms (ST2 Uhura, ST2 Chekov, ST2 Spock, & one other character from the movie. I personally have a case of the LCS Wave 1 coming from Luke's Toy Store. I have some funds set aside to get a case (hopefully) from TRU. Looking forward to getting my customizing on.

I am all for getting the crews done and I hope we do get more Enterprise mates. I know Luke can do a darn good job making the decals for TNG because he made some for me and I love them. I have Data, LaForge, & O'Brien in gold TNG Uniforms. I even had Luke make me Blue Female and Gold Female chest decals for Yar & Dr. Crusher/Troi. I only wish we do get the hard to customize parts in the near future. I would like to see Worf made by DST as well as Odo and Quark, Rom & Nog and Hoshi Sato. I am all for Box sets of mates that have three main crew members and an alien but have some extra heads for say Barclay, Wesley, Ro, Pulaski, and so forth. I would like to see Troi come with her blue Starfleet uniform but I would also like to see her in one of her more casual outfits (lavendar or blue or marroon). Then we would need some female gold chest blocks for Yar and to use for the various extras on the bridge. We could get a DS9 box set with Jadzia, Bashir, Morn, & Kira then there could be an extra head and shorter arms & shorter legs to make Ezri with Jadzia's chest block. We could have the major characters done and still have different variations of them for regular waves to have in packages with key alien races. Just my thoughts.

No wonder JJ when to tackle the alternate universe that is Star Wars. I like the new movie and JJ should realize that the Shatner era is iconic and you can never replace the hold that it has on the fans. Yes he tried to reboot the franchise and it was a great attempt but he can never fully replace that from the minds and thoughts of collectors and fans. I am very glad to get the new minimates once they actually are released for public purchase.

Wave 4: Reworked Scotty/M-113 Salt Vampire, LaForge/a Pakled, Worf (with extra TNG uniform)/Founder, Torres/a Swarm Alien, Phlox/Daniels, No movie option at this time. Wave 5: Reworked Uhura/Excalbian, Dr. Crusher/Mot the Bolian Barber, Dr. Bashir/a Breen, Paris/a Kazon, Sato/Orion (male), No movie option at this time. Wave 6: could be all movie mates from any Trek movie: ST4 Spock/ST6 Valeris, STG Guinan/STFC Picard in civilian attire, STFC Data (after exposure to the Borg)/LT Hawk in space suit (with extra Borg Face), STInsurrection Anji/Ru'Afo, STN B4/Female Romulan Commander Then we will have to play it by ear. I realized I said Neelix when I really was thinking Phlox in my previous statement. I would like to see the four guys from the Big Bang Theory made in Minimate form as well but have them dressed as they were in the recent episode where Sheldon was Data, Leonard was Picard, Howard was a borg and Raj was Worf?

Yes, I know someone out there is still strongly fixed on TOS, but there is more to Trek than TOS. We need our TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise. I agree with a lot of what was already stated in other posts, but I really do want the full crews for each series. I think that if Wave 2 is going to be a success, then DST needs to understand that we (the collectors) want our crews completed. DST could do Wave 2 with a reworked Spock with a reworked Klingon, Riker with a TNG Romulan, Kira with a Vorta (maybe the one protrayed by Combs), Chakotay with a Kazon, and T'Pol with a Suliban. Then Wave 3 could be a reworked McCoy with a TOS Romulan, Data with Gowron, Jadzia Dax with Martok, Tuvok with Vidiian, and Tucker with Soval. Then Wave 4 could be a reworked Scotty with a TOS Alien, LaForge with a Pakled, DS9 Worf (with extra TNG Uniform) with Founder, B'Elana with Voyager Alien, and Neelix with Daniels and I could go on but I will have rethink what aliens would be great in Minimate form. These are just my thoughts at the moment. Saw the new movie at midnight last night and it was Great but I am a little confused because if I was not already versed in Trek-lore I would have been lost. Too much crammed in a short time frame.

Could we get a shot of Kirk with the field jacket removed and what he looks like with the white arms on? Also a shot of him with the "KHAAAAN" face in place? I would really like to see the awesomeness of this wave as well as any shots of the TRU line that is due out around the same time.

Nice Bonus that we get the "KHAAAAAAN" face for Kirk, so that means I need at least one extra Kirk maybe two from this set. But I am happy not disappointed. Just means more of my money invested in Trek. Zach, Thank you for the package and tray shots. I am so looking foward to these mates. I am on the look out for the TRU wave to hit so I can hope to find them in my local TRU. I don't like to order from TRU online because my orders are always cancelled. I too will be sobbing like a baby if we don't get all of the crews from TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise. I have made most of the TNG crew but Worf eludes me. I really hope we get a Worf from either DS9 or TNG because then I can always make the body for the other series. I hope we get Worf from TNG because then I can recycle a body from one of my extras for a DS9 Worf. Just need the head and hands from a second one of him then I can recycle the TNG body for one of my customs. I am at a loss for Tuvok, Neelix, Kes and B'Elana for Voyager and have not found the right Asian-looking face for Harry Kim. I am working on T'Pol, Trip and Sato from Enterprise. I have made Chakotay, Paris and Seven of Nine along with Janeway (my first Trek Custom). I have also made Kira, O'Brien, Jadzia Dax and Keiko O'Brien from DS9. I have made a Guinan, O'Brien, Riker, Dr. Crusher, Troi, Riker and LaForge from TNG as well as a Yar. I have even made Sela (Yar's daughter from an alternate timeline, a TNG Romulan, Two TOS Romulan as well as a Female TOS Romulan, a Movie Uniform Uhura, Mirror Scott, Mirror McCoy, Mirror Chekov, un-mirror Monroe, Bread & Circuses McCoy, Bread with sheild and sword, Circuses Spock with sheild and sword, City on the Edge of Forever Kirk, City on the Edge of Forever Spock, Moive Ilia, ST:TMP Admiral Kirk, TOS Dress Uniform Scott (in kilt), Shahna from Gamesters of Triseklion, Loki and Bela from Let That Be Your Last Battlefield, a Mugato, Trials & Tribble-ations Sisko, Number 1 and Tyler from The Cage, Two Andorian Mercenaries, Dr. B'enga, Mirror Chapel (never seen in the episode but made her anyway), Where No Man Has Gone Before Kirk & Sulu, then I already made First Contact Picard. (These are all posted in my customs entry on this site.) I don't mind then having dupicates of sorts because then I can make different displays. I only wish that we could get some different Aliens and not so many Picards, Kirks, Spocks and Siskos. I will do my part to purchase a many as I can get of the TRU Star Trek Legacy line but I only hope my TRU gets them instock.

I just found the Star Trek Kreon blind packs. There are six different aliens to collect. I purchased seven blind packs at $3.49 each + tax. I opened them and got five of the six with two duplicates. I got two Gorn, two Grasia, one Klingon, one Captain Nero, one Keenser. I am missing Lieutenant Sprog. I like the look of these compared to Lego. I hope to get the Enterprise and the other sets but may have to see if they go on sale or on clearence first. I am holding out for the Star Trek Minimates to get released at TRU before I invest my limited funds in too many Kre-o items. Happy Collecting.

Hello, I have been working and retinkering with my "Children of Oberon" project. Got some new parts in to help with getting my ideas represented in physical form. Lady of the Lake has changed and now I am retooling my Grandmother, Coyote and Raven figures as well. (Update: I have retooled my "Children of Oberon" minimates but now I need to retool the backstory and get it to the quality of Prowl-AR's stories.) (I have also reworked some of my "Revolution" Minimates and will try to get the images updated soon as well. I am also reworking a couple of my "Once Upon A Time" minimates such as Jefferson -the mad hatter and I am creating Henry and Captain Hook. I thought about Cora/Queen of Hearts but not sure I can pull her off the way I want. I also have been toying with the idea of the Land of Oz if Regina had visited there before Dorothy came along and made it more sinister than we all know from the movies. I hope to finish those figures and get them shown here soon as well. I thought I would share here - that I wish I was better at it - I am working on a set of Minimate Ferengi Lobes but I think it will be used for a generic Ferengi and not Quark or Rom or anyone that was ever named.) I hope to have them posted by June 1st if possible. I have been working out in yard more lately so that has delayed my customizing process but bare with me and I will get them posted soon. The Trek Turtles are the only turtles I have left in my collection. I would love to find another set. I only collected Raphel but then I got the whole set of Trek Turtles. If it any Star Trek I got rid of 98% of all my non-trek collections outside of minimates.
