  1. And just to double check: in this case, we are NOT being polite to each other on eBay. Correct?
  2. I'm with newaddict, at least I'm hoping he's right, that this is just an "advance", a labeling change for the retailers and we will see a Starbuck like this in the regular line-up. *wish, wish* Crap, and here I had planned to complete the BSG line, but if DST is going to use it for all their retailer incentives... MATT! Please clear this one up for us?
  3. I think we should start a campaign to get Fujis down here. And any other Vancouver members we might have....
  4. And from out the blue! This is -- huh huh......... huh -- ack *Cappy clutches chest and falls to the floor*
  5. What's going on around Ma Hunkel's waist? Is that an inverted belt accessory to make her look chunky? If they can match the paint color, not a bad idea...
  6. I hear you, Alpheon. This will probably be the first miniMate line I don't buy any of, just becuase of the subject. I don't mind them being made, glad to see more 'mates out there, but zombies just don't appeal to me. Anyway, a box set sounds like a good guess, since that seems to be DST's new vehicle for collectors (and Marvel Zombies is definitely not a mainstream line). Here's a thought: convention exclusive? Seeing as how they're basically repaints... AND -- I don't think those are Spider-Man's boots in the top of the frame. Looks like Iron Man's ringed ankle to me. [edit] Christ, who am I kidding? I'll buy, I'll buy! Because I'm a weak, simpering fool who craves mini hits of Hong Kong plastic [/edit]
  7. Yeah, I was going to ask about that, weren't they killed off? There doesn't seem to be much left to Alpha Flight, which is truly a shame.
  8. My two cases of Cylons (mostly classic) have all been solid (knock on wood). NightViper, the classic helmets do come off. They just need some encouragement.
  9. From February's DST Radical, the variant Six, white dress, is listed as Kobol Six Just so youse all know.
  10. So the lastest DST Radical (February) mentions that 24 will come in box sets. That's excellent, I'm thinking. Like the Rocky property, this seems a great way to target the collector market, rather than the mass market sales Marvel minis are aimed at.
  11. The hands/cannon do move, it just takes some prying and guts to break them free to move. Unlike other joints, though, the chance of snapping aren't so great.
  12. No doubt I'll be there, Donster. Particularly if there's a strong Farscape presence!
  13. heh. That is great. Thanks for sharing, Matt.
  14. So... is there a possibility that these 'mates will arrive one week earlier on the West Coast, or is that a DST thing? If so, I could have DC miniMates in my hands in a week!
  15. Good lord, MORE?!? How am I going to pay for this addiction? Did DST address that? I think not.
  16. Hey Vox, I'd counsel patience in this case. Generally, there are a multiple listings for the table set on eBay, so just give it a couple more weeks. Do NOT spend a big amount on it, because this is definitely one of those items that, if you're patient, you can get a good deal. Reideen, I'll see what I can do for the picture, but your guess is fairly accurate.
  17. Hey 'Dinobot! My best guess is that, not too long ago, you were posting a lot. This is not a bad thing, since I always enjoy your opinions. But, sometimes the board slows down, between releases and what not. When you're the only one posting (it seems like) and no one answers your posts... well, that cold vibe comes up. Rest assured, you're a valued member of the community. Since we're settled into a drink at the Minimates' Arms, give me a man-hug! (And Shanester, I'm intentionally not partial-quoting your post... I'll leave that to Cloneme. )
  18. And I, in my turn, weep with happiness.
  19. heh. heh. I shouldn't think this would hurt our Q&A interaction (of course, I don't actually know the DST boys from a one-legged hurdler), since PL's translations aren't really making fun of DST Chuck. I see them more as tweaking the question askers. I see it as a "Thanks Chuck, for so politely putting up with us." I just hope DST sees it that way...
  20. You have no way of knowing this, but Very Cool Things is located in Seattle; I've been through his strictly-internet-sales office a couple of times. Great guy, very fun office because it's crammed to the ceiling with cool Japanese toys! Anyway, thanks for the heads-up Shanester. I may have to stop by in person check these out.
  21. AAAAAAaaaahhhhhhhhhhh GOSH DARN YOU, Shanester! I visited the touring "Bodies Exhibition", watched all the splatter flicks I could rent, and helped muck out cages at the zoo and almost, almost erased that image from my mind. Stop re-posting it! Congratulations, Ady and Divebomb! I suspect being part of the Wave 16 reveal may have helped boost your standing? Now I'm off to find that "donate" button....
  22. AAAaaaaahhhhhhhhhh Lord in Heaven, I do believe you just broke my addiction to miniMates! I'm swearing off of them forever.
  23. Okay, that looks cool! Wouldn't mind seeing these come to light for real....
