The big question is, will there be a sequel? So far no confirmation from WB that they are green-lighted for the next chapter. Originally they (Singer & WB, I think) said that if Superman Returns breaks the $200 Mil mark domestically (currently at $190.2 Mil) then they will go ahead with a sequel. Superman Returns was/is a good movie. It wasn't quite the bang that everyone expected, but it is a damn good film. I would like to see a sequel, but give me something new!! No more Luthor as the main villian, we've seen Zod, move on. Give us Brainiac or Darkseid or someone, anyone new.

I would think/hope most comic book stores would be ok with you putting a stack of cards with the minimate display when new waves are out if you ask them (esp if you're a good customer)! Just be careful in major retailers (ie Target), we don't want to be looked at as pests and cause any deterrence in stocking minimates.

finally made it to TRU to check these out, and just can't justify picking one up. The slight change just doesn't do it for me to want these bad enough, perhaps if they had C3 feet. But these are a great way to get them out to the mass market, from the low stock left, I'm guessing these have sold well!

I'm also a fan of DKR. But do think that nowadays it is a bit dated, perhaps that's why DKSA was such a disappointment. Everyone was expecting it to be as groundbreaking as DKR was but instead it was just blah. We did. They used Miller's Year One story to create the Batman Begins story line. Goyer consulted with Miller when he wrote the script. Totally agree that Year One was his best work in the Batman world. Plus I love the way it leads to the Batman: Long Halloween/Dark Victory storyline.

Just called the one TRU left in the area and they said they have these in stock with only Cap & Iron Man minimates available with them. My question is why would Hulk be packed in with this movie, from what I've heard he's barely in it (just a few minutes)? Has it been confirmed that only TRU will have these with minimates? The main release for movie to all retail stores is next Tuesday, perhaps Hulk/Cap/Iron Man will be available in regular release?

from The Avenger on TNI forum Are these the same minimates that have been released before or are they different? I got the Iron Man version. He is basically the same as the series 6 Iron Man that comes with Ghost Rider with very minor paint color differences. The Captain America is also mostly the same as his series 5 counterpart, but I think his mouth is like Series 1 Daredevil rather than the smirk that Cap has. or or

I look at this as DST picking up a license to do a range of toys & collectibles (from props to busts to minimates) from that licensed property. The announcement is much the same as the X-Men 3 license. They're not looking at it as what license would benefit from making minimates out of, they're looking at it as what available license can they make toys/collectibles out of that will make money. From what it looks like the props are the main focus right now. If those do well and the demand for Rocky collectibles stays high then we may be lucky and see some minimates. But my guess is the minimates are down the line priority wise, same as with X3, and more than likely they'll never see the light of day
