  1. It's Black Widow for me guys. I'm always stoked about getting more female MiniMates. The Dark Avengers packs are awesome - i'm excited for Ares, Ms Marvel & Iron patriot, But i'm more excited about filling out classic character rosters.
  2. Yeah, it doesn't make any sense, since it's the one Logan variant that people might want. Just reminds me what a terrible lineup that "Wolverine thru the Ages" box is. True Dat! what a waste of a box-set! I was expecting a Weapon X (Crazy Helmet), GSXM, Brown & Orange Costume & Maybe a 'Future Logan' MiniMate. With all the options they could have included like AOA, Death Horseman, Feral Bone Claw w/ Red Bandana, X-Force (unannounced at that time), CIA Wolverine (The black & gold costume), Spy Wolverine (Like in the old ToyBiz series) etc . . . , to get 4 'Civilian' Logans is pretty disappointing. Back on Topic though - Luke, if that Weapon X goes up for Auction, be sure to tell us!!!!
  3. every american has the right to bare arms!
  4. Wow - they are ALL stella, but i am seriously impressed with Weapon X, Sandman & Zombie Magneto! Zombie mags is just awesome! I'm surprised we haven't seen a Weapon X Wolverine Variant yet. When it happens (& it will happen) i hope AA/DST's is as good as yours!
  5. Yeah - i've been hankering for a Scorpian/Feral Venom tail since the MiniMate was announced too.
  6. I've sent an email to customerservice@diamondselecttoys.com about a MiniMate having two left hands and received no word back from them, not even confirmation that they received the email. That was two weeks ago. I'll send another one today i guess, but i'm a bit disappointed that it's been a fortnight and no-one's written back.
  7. Count yourself lucky - they are retailing for $17-$18 here. Even with the lousy exchange rate, that's still a lot more than US$8
  8. TBT vs TM2 vs Common Decency aside, David Carradine was something of an Icon. My family and I used to watch Kung Fu all the time when i was a kid. We are poorer for his passing. RIP 'Bill'.
  9. Ha ha! Well done. Between the two tones of blue, the X logo & the pointed fingure - i was sure it'd be Dazzler. Great custom anyway mate. The face captures the concept art really well.
  10. Forgive me in advance for my distrusting nature, but were the results from the Toys R Us poll shown anywhere during the voting period the way the results for the ArtAsylum poll were? I ask because i don't remember seeing them, and am wondering if they were deliberately not shown so that when the final tally comes through - AA/DST/TRU can make up any figures they like to release whichever characters they think will be more profitable. I realise that having the poll will help them figure out what the Collectors want, but if I were making a Secret Wars Box-Set based just on what i *thought* would sell, the set would probably have come out something like: SpiderMan, Dr Doom, Storm & Ben Grim. I don't know that i'd consider Captain Marvel or the Molecule Man based purely on mass market awareness (this is, after all, a TRU set). So - while the AA/DST poll reflect the tastes of those keen enough to vote (and vote, and vote, and vote in some cases. TM2 - i'm looking in your direction!), is it really going to reflect what the most 'sellable' box set would be from TRU's perspective? And with that in mind - would they fudge the results to see someone less recognisable (like Molecule Man) replaced with s bigger name (Like Doom)? I'm probably being paranoid - but does anyone else worry that we might lose Molecule Man?
  11. Wow - Stella work! I love that you went to the trouble of carving him some hooves.
  12. It was really thin and pulled down far though, a hairpiece DST has yet to make. It was also more platnum-y too. BSG actually has two hair-pieces that feature blonde hair pulled back into a pony tail like : http://minimatedatabase.com/figure.php?i=398 http://minimatedatabase.com/figure.php?i=398 They aren't perfect, but they might do the trick for you. I've used one of them to customise the Kitty Pride minimate that came out in Wave 13. For some reason, Kitty was given Dark Phoenix's big-70's hair piece, despite her mostly being protrayed with her hair pulled back into a pony tale through the Wheddon/Cassaday run of Astonishing X-Men.
  13. Well - at least Spider-Variant #457425 didn't quite make it to the top place. That's some small comfort. I'm pretty stoked to see that so far we have Storm, Photon & Molecule Man in the set. I wonder the Toys'R'Us poll will effect the totals. . .
  14. I'm sorry - but am i to understand that Doom is wearing Leather Armour made from someone's skin? Hannibal Von Doom????
  15. Seconded Seconded (can we somehow sneak AOA Weapon X Jean in there?)
  16. A lovely idea, except that I don't even read Blackest Night. (I compare this to something like the Civil War banners trend a few years back.) Although I will admit that I was mighty amused by the rash of Make Kang!-related avatars (and running gags ) that started emerging sometime during the Wave 25-26 28 reveals. Not that I wish to emulate this... my forum title should be enough. I was quite fond of whoever had this Civil War Banner: Kudos to whoever made this one!
  17. Being a bald guy though, there aren't very many options other than the obvious Professor X Some possible avatars for the future: Bald Bad-Ass Bald Action Star Bald Muscial Royalty Bald Comedy Legend Bald Crazy
  18. Would totally buy this set if it had an AOA Sabretooth in place of Mimic or Nocturne . . .
  19. Can we get Black Queen Jean instead of X-Factor? And i'm HOPING that the AOA Jean is her Weapon X series Costume, not the awful 10th Anniversary Thing. And i know it wouldn't sell as well, but i'd love to see Sinister in the Jim Lee set rather than Wolverine. I know he's not a Lee creation - but he was a villain often enough in Lee's run.
  20. YES YES YES! I've several dozen box-sets that i'd like to see made. Mutant Liberation Front Stryfe Reaper Locus Wildside or Tempo Inferno Mr Sinister Goblin Queen Malice Possed Polaris Scalphunter Age of Apocalypse #1 Apocalypse Magneto Rogue X-Man Age of Apocalypse #2 Holocaust Cyclops Jean Grey Weapon X 90's X-Force #1 Domino Shatterstar Cannonball Boomer Sunspot 90's X-Force #2 Chunky Cable Rictor Siryn Feral Warpath Yeah - 5 packs, i know. But i can't being myself to cut any of them out! ok - i'm gonna stop now . . . it's just getting depressing.
  21. We actually do have Wolverine as he appeared in the X-Men Animated Series, as well as how he appeared in the final season of X-Men Evolution.
  22. It will be effing huge! Personal Note: I think this is the single most exciting wave for me since i started collecting. 4 massive wants ticked off my dream-list, an awesome variant, an army builder & a(nother) decent wolverine.
  23. The original X-Men animated series are essentially dressed in the Jim Lee era costumes - some of which we have had/are getting: (Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, Psylocke, Sabretooth). I'm confident that we'll get more of these as time goes on (There's been a bit of begging for Jim Lee style Cyclops, Jean Grey & Jubilee in the past). If you're talking about making some customs, i think it'd be cooler to see some Evolution costumes, because we are far less likely to ever see AA/DST ever make those.
