  1. Wow - i'm WAY behind on your customs. Morph is PERFECT! Let me know if he goes on ebay, becaue i would kill for that one! And your Ripley is awesome - it really feels like a minimate of the character. The likeness is awesome. Keep up the good work. PS: All your work is great, but those two are my favourites from the recent batches!
  2. Something like this? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/pip...14/luke_mod.jpg Ha ha ha - Gold! Congrats on the upgrade, mate!
  3. Seriously??? Dang - X-Men Legacy has had TWO 'retro' covers in the last 3 months! I think marvel should do more of that yeah, that. I think they did an issue where Spider-Man was out in the suburbs & the lack of tall buildings rendered him kind of ineffective. It would actually be kind of funny for a mini-series to see Spider-Man challenged by an environment he wasn't used to. . .
  4. Dang it! Why don't TRU Australia get these bad boys?!?!?!
  5. Oh WOW! Two face looks manic! I Love the charterisation in the deformed side of his face Ivy is fantastic. Good call on using Star Saphhire's hair. One thing i would possibly change is her eyes: maybe make the whites of her eyes white so they pop a little more. Other than that, she is awesome. I think highlighting her body form with the lighter green rather than white or black is perfect. Red hood is great too! Even made of recycled parts, he looks just how the comic art dictates he should. Great work all round!
  6. Awesome news, i'll have to try my luck & see if i can get an extra iron man hand! EDIT: PM Sent Matt
  7. Can't really say anything that hasn't already been said, but i'll add my appreciation too. Great Work! I am so stoked by customizers, So much effort goes into making these luittle guys. I think more effort than usual went into Larfleeze & it shows. Kudos!
  8. Well, I'm not Hyperventilating the way i wuold have two years ago - but i am excited. They may not have been perfect, but Hasbro delivered a number of X-Family characters that i had been waiting on (Forge, Cannonball, Domino & Spiral) & i'm pretty stoked to be possibly given the chance to expand on my collection a little more. The Hasbro ML's may weren't quite up to the standard that ToyBiz had set, But i've found the Hasbro toys sit in well enough with their slightly more detailed freinds. So - i'm remaining cautiously optimistic about making myself an army of Madrox's in the near future Also: Quick Question - Why do the concept art images have toybiz logos on them? http://www.actionfigurepics.com/wp-content...sorbing-man.jpg
  9. I'm radded out that we will be getting a Marvel & a Black Bolt - but i'm a little bummed that BB wont come with a Medusa . . . I'm not too hopeful that we'll get a Medusa unless she comes with BB. Here's hoping BB has a reversable head. One with mouth closed, and one open!
  10. can't believe I finished it. phew! Oh Man - of course!!!!!! i feel like such a tool. Well, i did ok. I got help with CCC, the Cheerleaders & Book Grinder (Can't BELIEVE i didn't get that one!), but i reckon i did ok over-all. The one that REALLY got me was . I thought it was just a piece of the Clue & so i spent about an hour or 49, not able to find where the 50th hint was. LOL.
  11. Welcome: you have found the right place to beg for Captain Britain! There are a few members here who wont rest till he's made. Once you develope a sick need for Kang & a Wrecking Crew set, you'll fit right in!
  12. Welcome to the MMMV & Welcome (in advance) to the Great Southern Land, From one Aussie to a future Aussie.
  13. Ok - Clues that i'm stuck on: The Graph on the side of the shark tank; The 2 instruments (lutes?) next to the shark tank; The building with the CCC on the side; The KickBoxing Cheer-Leaders; & the thing on the ground in front of the Cheer-Leaders? It looks like a little man kneeling or praying & a moth??? Does anyone have these answers? If so, does anyone wanna help me out with a little clue or two? without giving me the actual answer?
  14. Well - i don't actually know much about drax, but i will definitely pick this set up. I'm keen for Mephisto & Adam Warlock . . . especially if he comes with his bird-cane! I've stopped buying 'Just the X-Men' and have started buying anything that looks cool. This set looks wicked-cool!
  15. oh wow - this is something awesome to while away the morning at work. I'm up to about 38 43 45 - but i'm getting to the point where i'm stumped now. Hey BS, where'd you find ? Or are you talking about ?
  16. There are a few for and a few against when it comes to Old vs New. Cyclops, for example: Grant Morrisons art didn't translate very well into a MiniMate as far as Scott was concerned. A Long, skinny character looked a bit too chunky. I think the Astonishing X-Men costume looked a lot better. I also prefered the Dark Phoenix Cyclops over the GSXM one. GSXM Cyke was a bit too plain - & the sinple shading on the DP Cyke really made him pop. I think the Comic Jean Greys/Phoenix's have gotten better with each release though. But - i do prefer the original Venom over every version since (although Transformation Venom runs a close 2nd place). The same is true if the Thing. I think the original head piece is far better than Battle Scar/Powerhouse versions that came after. I'm also a big fan of the White Queen over the later issued Emma Frost . . . The costume was ok, but the face was wrong, the hair was wrong. It just didn't capture the character. And i have to agree with Civil War IronMan comments on this thread - that was one lousy figure. Every version leading up to him was better, especially Silver Centurian (My favourite Ironman so far).
  17. Sorry guys, when i said that the Avengers didn't have any Villains, i meant that they hadn't had many of the Avenger-Specific Villains made into MiniMates yet.
  18. In fact major injuries, like blindness or broken backs are often reversed within a years time. Except Barbara Gordon, who must have just really karmically cheesed someone off to still be stuck in that chair. I mean both Bruce and John Stewart got out of their wheelchairs, why not her right? DC has even commented in story that no one attends superhero funeral anymore, because they figure they'll be back eventually. Barbara Gordon is (so far) one of the shinging examples of talented writers working WITH comic book history, instead of AROUND it! We all knew Cap would be back - but as almost everyone else has already said, i too was hoping we'd have to endure at least a few more years without him. It's not that i don't like the character, i just feel that we're only just now feeling the real impacts of his death. It's sinking in now. There is so much other stuff happening in the MU right now - why not let it play out before starting a new, crazy adventure to bring back the dead. . . again.
  19. I got the as well. I have YouTubed the , but i have never seen the ending. I'm starting to think it may be an urban legend. Also - the guy playing Weapon XI was (i think) Ryan Reynolds stunt double - hence the similarity in build and height. YES YES YES!
  20. and same with sentry, when considering the "team dynamic" aspect, he's got all of the avengers villains. outside of teams, look how many more mates wouldn't have any villains. The Avengers don't really have any Villains other than Ultron. There's Loki & Absorbing Man, but both are more 'Thor Villains' in my mind. TaskMaster is a bit of an Avengers Villain, but since registration came in, he's not really a villain anymore. At least we have Moonstone coming out soon! Sorry - Back on track, I Hope Adam Warlock comes with his Bird-Staff thing (can someone clarify whether this is actually a necessary accessory for him? I noticed that the Marvel Legends figure had one & thought it looked pretty cool, but I’m not very Warlock-Savy).
  21. Wow - your customs are awesome and your pics are amazing!!! Have you attached that blast effect to Cyclops permanently? Is it the one from the 3 3/4 inch Cyclops from the Wolverine series?
  22. I've already posted my wish-list for this set in other threads, but i'd like to see: Kestrel/John Wraith Gambit Weapon XI (Final Fight Deadpool) Stryker - but sice we'd never get a set without a wolverine, then Stryker could be replace with a Battle Damaged Logan . . . or Logan with Slurpee variant!
  23. Though old I learn quickly by reading the thread. Thanos has a gauntlet with 6 gems which are apparently not to be messed with . He has one gem on each finger & one in the palm(?). The set is called 'The infinity Gauntlet' set & is so named because (I'll help you with this...) of the...gauntlet. The whole point of the set is the gauntlet & I reckon they thought that it would be clever to emphasise....the gauntlets & their fingers . Did you notice the Skrulls in the Secret Invasion set?? Yeah, i know how the gauntlet looks in the comics - but these are MiniMates & i'd prefer some continuity here. That's why i thought the original glove worked well. It featured the 6 jewels on it, but still upheld the design ideals of MiniMates: http://www.minimatedatabase.com/figure.php?i=122 not to punch a hole in it but Nightcrawler was done with the proper number of digits, hands and feet.......my view on this is that the Gauntlet has a certain look to it and the number of gems is important so I think it'll stay that way in the set Jeff of the Miniacs Yeah - you're right. I guess Nightcrawler would have looked pretty silly with only 1 finger & thumb on each hand. So - my theory isn't totally water tight & in the end , it looks like it comes down to personal preference. My Preference would be for something that blends the Jewelled Gauntlet from the comics with the feel of the MiniMates design theme. But that's just MY preference. Don't get me started on MiniMates with noses! LOL
  24. I think part of the reason they added fingers to the gauntlet is on the original thanos they had them as they normally would, and they just looked horrible. Really? I thought his little Gauntlets were cute. I have a little beef with these new gauntlets because they aren't consistent with MiniMate lore. So far, characters with digits usually have 3 fingers and a thumb, eg: Carnage, Venom, Lady Deathstrike, etc . . . In fact, the trend was continued when Characters like the Thing, who in the comics features 1 less digit (3 fingers & a thumb) were sculpted to have only 2 fingers and a thumb as MiniMates. So - If we do get sculpted digits on the new Thanos - i hope they revise his Gauntlets to feature 3 fingers instead of 4. PS: Rant aside, i freaking LOVE this set. It's going to give us some awesome new characters & the preview image is so brightly coloured that it hurts my eyes! This set is full of all kinds of Awesome!
