I actually quite like the clear "Jellybean" Bearbrick in this series myself. Usually the clears can get pretty vanilla but this one's bedecked in full Rainbrow Brite weirdness. Did I ever mention how much I hate you guys? No, I'm not familiar with the character or the source material at all, however she was just too bad-ass for me to pass up! It's sort of a mixed bag how much this line is starting to cut into my Minimate budget. Pics to come... maybe.

Yup, it took me a while to get a good-looking one while using these instructions, but after a few tries I finally wound up with a decent mini-rose. Then it turns out the ribbon I used was a bit too wide. Oh well, something to remember once I get started on Selene's rose.

Subway Ghost.

Still mildly concerned about the choice of material, but all things considered I like it. It really does have that kiddie vibe to it though, doesn't it? (Not that that's a bad thing, it kinda gives me fun little nostalgic throwbacks to those classic toy carrying cases like boyd said )

This is my own somewhat crappy attempt at "modifying" a Minimate: Basically the Black Queen's lack of a rose really bothered me, so I tried improvising one of my own using some superglue and ribbon rose technique. (Note to self: next time use a much thinner ribbon, lest the rose keeps looking like an absurdly large, tacky brooch.)

The Vault Guard is a borderline example: under all the armor he's pretty comic-accurate. Everything else was intended as a homage to the old Hasbro(?) action figure. Also, I always figured that there were several different versions of the Hulkbuster armor? I figured the Minimate would have been canonically faithful to at least one version? Otherwise... I'm stumped.

Honestly I don't see what's wrong with that. The drones are army-builders after all...

Hold on... where was it confirmed that the PX Delorean was gonna come with another Marty again? On the bright side, this means we now have assurance that "Darth Vader" Marty with the little video camera is a sure bet now. At least that's one Toy Fair solicit we can feel confident about. (So much for Axel Foley.)

Personally I wouldn't mind getting a 'mate of the Nanny Ghost that takes Baby Oscar from Dana in GB2 as well, baby carriage and all.

Oh, for heaven's sake. (Background for those who can't read the whole thread: Fwooshers discussing the Hot Toys IM2 Black Widow figure. Some weird hang-up over the rooted hair adding to the "dollness" of the figure.) I must consider myself doubly lucky I'm a girl then. That way I can get away with playing around with "dolls" without worrying about how secure I am in my masculinity.

It's funny, a Google Images search I just did for the Hammer Drones mostly just turns up the Minimates. Turtle, get out of my head.

It was about time we got Janosz, and the Theater Ghost/Slime Pack Ray looks too cool for words. And Lady Liberty?! Public Domain Bad-ass Hilarity!!! YOUR LOVE KEEPS LIFTING ME HIIIIIIIIIGHEEEEEEEEEEEER P.S. Theater Ghost is using Salaak's multi-armed torso piece!!!

Take your pick: 1. Karnak - the Royal Family's smart guy. Loyal to Black Bolt. Big head. Knows Kung Fu. 2. Maximus - Black Bolt's brother. Recurring villain of the Inhumans stories. Looks just like The Beyonder, only skinnier. 3. Triton - Karnak's brother. Fish person who's a dead ringer for The Savage Dragon. Personally I wouldn't mind getting Karnak or Triton in the boxset. But Karnak kinda gets the more important roles in a bunch of the stories, and Maximus is a villain who's also an easy part reuse so on paper that should make him a must-have. Everybody forgets Triton. I'm not feeling optimistic about every other set in your proposed wave (), but I would eat my hat if we didn't get a Crystal Minimate along the line somewhere. From here Ronan the Accuser shall be my new campaign. DST, Make Ronan the Accuser!!!

I hope this doesn't give you all a new reason to hate me, but I've finally gotten around to starting up a new page on TV Tropes about Minimates. At this rate the "Heroic Age" boxset is practically a no-brainer. While we're talking current events, given what's going on with Daredevil nowadays I wouldn't mind something that might get us a new Elektra and some Hand Ninjas I can just predict my reaction to this becoming a reality... probably something starting with "F" and ending with "U"

I've been using Starfire's hair for my Medusa quick-custom, but I would love to see her get her own "hair action stand" (that sounds wrong ) a la Stretch Attack Mr Fantastic.

I love her. She reminds me of the Magdalena's less gothic cousin.
