  1. Ah! Reed! Punch a little higher! what? a-hem. Good review, nice selection of pictures, everything that makes Minimate Central my fav non-forum minimate site
  2. At least it's not blind packing, but...
  3. Well, the Ghost Rider 2-pack mock has something different again, though the use of control art on it may indicate it's not finaly
  4. Update: After a prompt and complete dive into my non-standard filing system (ie: girlfriend yelled at me to clear off the spare bed in the computer and I sorted and threw out the junk) I have relocated my lost minimate mini-poster, thus I am back to status of not having lost anything Minimate related. *sigh of relief*
  5. From the first Q&A thread on the new AA forum comes this little gem: Do you have info on the Ultimnate Avengers 2 DVD Minimates? FOR LIONS GATE – THEY ARE THE HULK, IRON MAN AND CAPTAIN AMERICA Minimates packed in with the DVD. So maybe more than just a little plastic baggie and Hulk is among the fun also...
  6. I'm No. At the moment it's just people who put on a mask and fight crime who are forced to join SHIELD, either that or lifetime jail, but it'd only be a minor thing to register any who had powers just in case, make it easier to train them or jail if they do choose to become superheroes/vilians. In alot of ways it's bringing over what turns me off the Ultimate universe, SHIELD knowing everything and Spidey having the choices of being drafted into the Ultimates or jail at 18...
  7. That's one advantage of the more fan-focused DCD mates is the fact we'll end up with more comic flavored variations instead of even worse fate of getting stuff like Neon Puke Patrol Batman and Underwater Armor Superman that more mass-market/kid focused stuff like C3 ended up with. I might hate the overuse of variations, but at least Marvel Minimates haven't suffered that fate... yet...
  8. Ayep, the Clobberin Time Thing that came with Super Skrull came with a dinky little cigar. Even coming loose to Australia, haven't lost that. The only Minimate thing that I've lost is mini-poster that came with my Ben Reily/Black Cat. Probably had it out one too many times as a guide to my goal of getting all the mates listed on it
  9. Wonder how their packaged? if we're talking just a plastic baggie....
  10. Very nice. Gee... perhaps they could have been extras on the DVD, something to expand upon and make the DVD more meaty...
  11. Nope, got it. The questions you are suggesting will never receive clear answers you desire, especially by suggesting they engage in negative behavior such (which admittedly I agree with you on). It's like asking someone why they suck and expecting that they will calmly explain why they suck, instead of them trying to throw off the question or ignore it. ie: "We can't really comment directly on competing lines, but we are watching them with interest." "While we do try to listen to the vocal minority, we are producing the line for the silent majority, thus variations of popular characters with continue to appear." "Please understand that we can't disclose future plans, but we are constantly in discussion with Marvel on the topic of Minimates." "Ultimately the continuing sales of Marvel Minimates will decide if future waves are produced." "We are listening to fans, and we are producing the best quality line that market interesting and funding allow." etc etc etc
  12. Wow, guess the Trekkers/Trekkies/Trekreenos really were waiting for a central location again...
  13. John was likely already done for C3, so only a hop skip jump to revive as an easy exclusive/promo mate. Any mates with new molded pieces likely would be re-done from scratch, if the difference between the the Wonder Woman C3 proto and the DCD control art is anything to go on.
  14. Why the redundant "the" in that sentence? Or did you accidentally type "the" instead of "always"... That was one benefit of the creation of Image Comics for me, the removal of most of IMO overrated artists from Marvel. Definately not a Liefeld fan
  15. No offense intended, but I can't help but laugh at comments like that. No company rep on earth would likely to be as honest as your dreaming of, not unless they sought a way to get fired
  16. I think their refering to the hips on the Indymates, Witchblade's legs was just poor/cheap design
  17. Wait, I thought I was the only one going back.... ^_^ Not much there, but as I have previously mentioned, I need work safe forums to visit, and it's either this of totally junk the Minimates wiki entry...
  18. That is possible, but because they can't really be bulk ordered by such stores, probably cheaper to buy them online.
  19. The new Wave 12 Cap is IMO a hope skip away from being Ultimate, just slight paint apps. Not to mention I'd definately order Ultimate Avengers 2 if he was a early sneak peak of Wave 12...
  20. I got my first box of Indymates (thanks shanster!) AFTER this thread appeared, so I was more than a little paranoid about their legs, but thankfully all okay...
  21. I noticed that as well... http://www.artasylum.com/ goes to a crappy redirect placeholder site but guess what... http://www.artasylum.net/ works fine. Why the change I ask...
  22. I'm updating/altering Minimate Max sections, but I'd also mention I've had thoughts towards adding a Promo section and editing down the Series 12/13/Toyfare 2006 part
  23. Perhaps if they released Spidey or Wolverine first the line wouldn't have been a bust... Only kidding. In all honestly the only people buying them are minimate fans, and the cost/non-articulation much like C3 needing blocks before it allowed them to be made, but killed the majority of minimate fan's interest/willingness to buy. At least they made the choice for the characters that weren't already covered...
  24. *mutters darkly about how Supanova Sydney is probably overflowing with Minimates all kinds compared with a pathetically tiny volume at Supanova Brisbane no I'm not bitter thank you very much* Cyc (whose not bitter)
