  1. I find these more exciting than the We're Ready to Believe You set. When we get Egon, Ray, and Winston in their long johns, that's when we've hit ground.
  2. I like the control art better than what they're giving us. I guess TRU doesn't want to foot the bill any more than they have to. All the GB sets for TRU have been part reuse sets, and so is this one. Instead of giving us the character specific jackets and all the gadgets, we get a few generic trench coats and that's about it. Usually, the part reuse for these isn't that big a deal, since they've whipped up some good ghosts with what they had available. But by cutting corners here, they've taken what could be a nice sendoff for the series and turned it into an easily skipped set.
  3. Someone should ask about it in the next Q&A.
  4. If we're pairing mutations in with the Lizard, then we've got to get a battle-damaged Spidey (preferably one that is better than the Friends & Foes set) with the parts to make Spider-Lizard.
  5. Depends on how big a change I make. For the Astonishing X-Men, all the paint apps I added go on the figure, whereas the part swapping I did to make a definitive Thing created a new figure to stand beside the versions they produced for us (so far).
  6. Its a lot easier to ace levels when playing by yourself, but anything else should be no sweat. Just friend me or I'll friend you and we'll see if we can get a party going.
  7. Did you mean in LBP1 or 2, because 2 doesn't come out until winter. Either way, I can probably help in some way. PSN: drgnrbrn316 And yes, I'm excited about LBP2. I drove to all the Gamestops in Greenville to find the Game Informer magazine that had the first look at the game. I think the Sackbots are the big thing for me right now.
  8. The cougars in Red Dead Redemption are relentless. I ran into a pack/pride/whatever of them and they killed Gluestick in one hit. I was able to fend off the first wave, but they just kept coming. I must have downed 10 of them before a couple got up behind me and finished me off.
  9. If they kept the same case, wrapped it in vinyl, made a variety of cases covering each of their properties, and included an exclusive figure for said property, would that win more buys?
  10. I downloaded the demo for MNR but I haven't played it yet. I'd imagine either you get used to the controls, or the final version should have a way to configure them. Don't have it yet, but its on my list and it'll be for PS3.
  11. Not sure if they'd go that route or not, since it required a larger box to fit it all in, which means they'd have to change the size of the case to accommodate the larger package. Not saying it won't happen, I just don't see them adding the extra expense.
  12. Do we really need to keep using the spoiler tags regarding ? They're showing in the commercials now. They did the same thing for the Wolverine 'mates, and I don't think they sold that well.
  13. It definitely reduced my interest, since I've already got the PX version preordered.
  14. I just poked around on YouTube and, while forgettable, these ghosts were in the movies. The Subway ghost is from GB1, during the ghosts escaping from the containment grid montage. Louis/Key Master walks by a subway, only to have the ghost pop up. The Theater ghost is from GB2, during the slime montage. A mob of people rushes out of a movie theater, only to be chased out by the ghost. At this point, we're only missing I'd say three notable ghosts, then the well is officially tapped. There's the ghost who removes Ray's pants in the first movie, the fur coat ghost from the slime montage in the second movie, and Janosz in his ghost form. Of the three, Janosz is the only one I'd say is "necessary". They probably could have packaged ghost Janosz with his regular version and put Lady Liberty with Peter and we'd have had a solid assortment.
  15. We get all the Canadian heroes too.
  16. What's with the abundance of Iron Men? Is there a movie or something out to justify the attention? I wish they'd mix in more army builders instead of just straight rereleasing sets from the LCS series (before the LCS series hits no less ). Though I guess the Stilt Man stilt segments would count towards army building this time. Between the case of series 36 I'm getting and the inevitable arm full I'll get from TRU, I hope to make a Stilt Man as tall as I am, though I'd wager he'll topple after a certain height.
  17. Only game on my watch list is Little Big Planet 2. As for what I'm playing now, when I find time, I've been trying to play Left 4 Dead 1 & 2. I suck at FPS, yet I keep buying them.
  18. It was alright. I've never been big on the kart games, but I had fun. There was only one track to play on and the editing was kinda limited for the create portion, but that was mostly just because it was a demo. As far as the game itself, it was like Mario Kart meets Little Big Planet. Pretty fun. Oh, and I don't have Qore, so I'm not sure why they sent me a code.
  19. I think I'm going to have to drop out of this one. The deadline is looming, I'm still very much lacking in free time, and I'm still lacking a good direction to even start at. Of course, I haven't had a good track record with these things. The first one flew under my radar, my entry for the second one was damaged in shipping to Fujis so it couldn't go to auction (I suspect it was "damaged" to save the whole project from embarrassment), and I had no time to get farther than an idea for the third one. I can't even get an idea for this one.
  20. I can agree that there's probably a larger market for the Star Trek stuff than what they're aware of. That they're still rerunning TNG should be some indication of that. I imagine that three waves of Kirk, Spock, and maybe another crew member or two wore on the retailers nerves, so they responded in kind by scaling back their preorders, and DST promptly killed the whole thing off due to lower sales. That would be what I'm inclined to believe. Of course, I don't work behind the scenes and I don't know how much of series 4 and 5 sat on shelves somewhere. I do know series 3 made it to those limited edition Target "aisle of misfit toys" which suggests to me that TNG didn't kill the line, but was just a casualty of it.
  21. That was a rather depressing Q&A, though there wasn't much there that we couldn't guess or didn't already know before. It just seemed so negative. No more Ultimates No more Star Trek No more DC (and no way to contact DC even though they are the ones we're supposed to contact) No wedding day MJ No idea that anything was wrong with Spidey Friends & Foes No Minimates club No Kick Ass No blank Minimates Heck, the tone even made the Cap and Thor movies seem unlikely.
  22. How about this for a case ratio: 1x pack A 1x pack B 1x pack C 1x pack D 8x army building 2-pack You'd lose these embarrassing factory errors where they screw up the variant ratio, and you'd be able to sell more product since your collectors would each have to buy a case to get the figures they want. Of course, not everyone army builds, so I could see stores becoming frustrated having to find a way to offload 30 packs of AIM Agent/Hydra Agent. In that case, 2x the actual figure packs and 4x the army builders?
  23. I'm likely going to be pelted with rocks or Riot Attack Spider-Men, but I'm surprised they haven't tried a Spider-Man Through the Ages box set. I guess the problem is that we've gotten all of the definitive looks and we're only lacking the one-offs for the most part.
