  1. Thanks for the comments guys! I love hearing feedback so keep it coming. Today, I'm lookin at the Superman side of the DCU, focusing mostly on the people employed at the Daily Planet. CLARK KENT: Superman's alter ego, this guy came together out of pieces I had laying around from a spare 24 Day 1 set. The suit was too perfect not to use. Coupled with a reworked Spiderman 3 Peter Parker hair, he turned out pretty well. LOIS LANE: Lois has been in the works for a while. I ended up using the body from one of the chicks from the Day 1 24 set. I replaced the skirt with a hand made piece, and gave her a head from Wonder Woman and hair from a Betty Ross. Faily simple, but an important part of my collection. PERRY WHITE: The Chief definitely was essential to my set up, so I needed to make one. He was pretty fun, especially designing the newspaper he's holding. Though you can't see it, there is a full front to the paper. The Daily Planet News Team!
  2. Some More new stuff. Today, I'll be showing a set that will be going to my dad to Christmas. He's a huge Aquaman fan, so I tried to even out his collection a bit. AQUALAD: Side kick to Aquaman, he was pretty high on my list. Fairly basic custom MERA: Aquaman's wife, she was a bit more difficult than Aqualad, but still fairly simple. AQUABABY(aka ARTHUR JR): Aquaman's son with a code name that most certainly would have gotten him made fun of later in life had he not been killed by Black Manta while still a child. He was the most difficult of the 3 because I did not just want to put him on a normal body. I ended up shortening his arms, legs, and feet, and replacing his torso with a smaller one. All thar work and he only ended up being about a milimeter shorter than his father. Oh well! THE AQUAMAN FAMILY:
  3. Stopped by a local TRU and found Black Spidey, Stealth IM, and the Hulk pack. I left the Hulk pack, but took the other two. At first, I didn't see the IM pack, but I found it nearby, with a beaten up box. Good thing I'm not a MIB collecter!
  4. Thanks, I'm quite fond of Riddler myself. Canary's head is a Betty Ross from the Hulk movie.
  5. Not to be annoying, but it would be nice to hear what others think, good or bad. Comments are always apreciated and I do like to know from others if there is any thing I could fix or inprove, so give me your thoughts. Thanks!

  7. Alright, time for my next update. Today let's lookinto some JLA related stuff GREEN LANTERN: ever since I bought the original DCD GL I've always felt there was something that needed to be tweeked. All I did for this guy was replace the superman hair with that of movie Tony Stark, and replace his right hand with one from a Guy Guardner because it has better detail BLACK CANARY: Recently, I was looking at my JLA display, and I realized that it could definitly use some more female characters, so I figured Canary would be easy enough. SUE DIBNEY: While not the most remembered chareacter(Dying in Identity Crisis was the high point of her career) I've always liked Sue as a character, especially in Keith Giffins I Cant Believe It's Not The Justice League, hence the look of the character. While she isn't the most stand out 'mate, she turned out well and she's a great companian piece for Ralph
  8. Thanks for the compliments guys! Well, I've got a bunch more DC customs done, as I'm desperately trying to fill holes, so look for some steady updutes over the next couple of days. Well, I've really been into Batman lately(Due to both the release of Dark Knight and to the fact that lately I've been rewatching the 90's series) So First up let's show the 2 I've made from that universe. RIDDLER: While watching the 90's series, I realized how cool this guy was back then, and since I haven't had the innitiative to buy the C3 version, I thought I'd make a version in his suit and tie. TWO-FACE: This guy's benn on the list almost since DC was cancelled, but I never seemed to have the right parts. However, when I ended up with a spare Movie Tony Stark, This guy came togther in less than a day. My favorite part of this custom is the coin. It was made from a BSG card hand that I had for months with no idea of what to use it for, but when I started on this guy, I realized it could be reworked to look like a coin. That's all for today, but I plan on posting more tomorrow. Comments are greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you guys think.
  9. Wow dude. that guy looks pretty sweet. I might have to upgrade my Manhattan to the suit and tie look.
  10. Dude, just be glad you're getting the stuff at all. I have a pretty big collection of mates, and I've paid for most myself. My parents focus on other stuff to get me, and my mom thinks that I'm too old for such things. Besides 40 mates! Dude, I would go 6 months without buying mates if I knew my parents were covering that much. Just be grateful for what you have.
  11. Wow! Unus the Untouchable ...now that takes me back! I guess he has some modern incarnation though? I doubt it, he died before getting an update, so red turtle-neck and red spandex pants would be it.
  12. I was really psyched when I saw the pictures of the first movie masters( Joker, Batman, Goon), but when release came, and Joker went for around 50 bucks, I lost interest. The other day, however, I was in a local specialty toysore that sells in package and loose, and they had all ofthe figures at around $10, so i flipped through, pulled out Joker. Then I looked at the price. He was marked $30, and that was a bit too high for me. While I was putting him back, I happened to look up at the shelf above to see what else the store had, and right in front of me was a loose set of four of the MM figures(Original Costume Batman, Scarecrow, Thug, and of course... The Joker!) I pulled it down to check the price expecting it to be around $40-50, but to my suprise it read $30, the same price as the carded Joker. I took it up to the counter, and while the lady at the register was ringing it up, she noticed another tag that read $18. She went back to double check with the owner, and while $18 was not the price, she gave me six bucks off because of the mix up. I got these guys home and played around with them, and I have to say, they're pretty sweet! And at $6 a pop, they're even better. I now plan on picking up Two face to round out the set when he comes out. Anyway long story short: after waiting a little while to get Joker at a good price, I got him and 3 others for alot less than I expected. Oddly, after having them a few days, I've found I like the Scarecrow much more than the Joker whom the entire set was bought because of.
  13. My dad bought me a Daredevil Yellow/ Elektra two pack for my bithday, which was followed by a friend giving me a Hulk/ Banner set for the same occasion. The next week I went to my LCS and they had the X-men and Spiderman waves, and after that I was done for. I have pretty much followed the line faithfully since.
  14. I just finshed issue 8 and wow, I realized that I actually spent money on this piece of crap series. My thoughts of the issue: Those are my thoughts on this issue, and don't get me started on the whole series.
  15. went to my local tru today, and nothing. really pissed me off, but I did find an Iron Man Mighty Mugg.
  16. I scraped them off of a spare for a cusrtom, and she looks pretty good, but a bit generic, but I'll let you decide. Here's a pic
  17. Mine just got here. Wow these are really cool. Mark II is quickly becoming one of my favorite mates. And the hulk set may not have gotten me really excited, but everything's cooler when it's free. Thanks DST!
  18. If I see an extra, I'll let you know where I put it
  19. sweet!!! I'll try to stop by one after getting my new comics. Thanks for the info.
  20. What Toys r us will you be going to? I live near Baltimore and am desperatly searching for all of these(well MOST of these. don't need hulk.) Will this area be getting them all at the same time?
  21. Okay, finally got the time to finish taking pics so here goes JIMMY OLSEN: Can't take a whole lot of credit here. I saw TENMINE ART's Jimmy and wanted one of my own, but I thought he should have his signature red bow tie. METALLO: This guy was a case of right parts + little paint = easy custom more than a strong desire for the character. Next, I was looking back at some of my older stuff, and the more I looked, the less Happy I was with some of them. That being the case, I redid a few. SUPERBOY: I was never 100% happy with this guy, so he was at the top of the redo list NEMESIS: There was nothing major that stuck out on this guy, but I figured while I was working on Superboy, I might as well fix him too. GROUP SHOTS: Here are a few major DC groups that I felt needed some holes filled. JLA I still think There need to be a few more female characters. Maybe Black Canary and Zatana. JSA Superman Family Reminds me how much I need to finish up that lois I'm workin' on.
  22. Here's my long list of stuff to fill some holes in my DC collection. Moving through these slowly but surely. It's actually much shorter than it was a month ago JLA Zatanna, Black Canary, Adam Strange, Animal Man, Vixen JSA Mr. Terrific, Dr. Midnight, Hour Man TEEN TITANS Kid Flash, Aqua Lad, Wonder Girl, Speedy, Nightwing( Perez outfit), Jericho, Changeling GREEN LANTERN John(classic), Aresia, Katma, Tomar, Black Hand, Gaurdian, Jade SUPERMAN Lois, Eradicator, Perry White INJUSTICE GANG Ultra Humanite, Shade, Grundy, Black Manta, Copperhead, Cronos, Captain Cold, Parasite, Giganta OTHER Dead Shot, Hush, Mera, Question(Vic Sage), Orion, Darkseid
  23. Sorry For the lack of updates. I've had alot of stuff in the works for some time now, and I've almost finished it all at once(finished 10 new customs this week alone!). ATOM SMASHER: This guy's my first venture into the 2.5" scale and he was fairly easy. CAPTAIN ATOM: Sorry about the coloring in this image, I'll try too get another pic up later today. ELONGATED MAN: This guy was real fun to design, but he definitly reminded me why I HATE red paint. I also included a pic with Bane for size comparison. ALAN SCOTT: This guy's been on my to-do list for a while, but I wanted to get him just right. In the end, I'm glad I waited. MARTIAN MANHUNTER: See above for my thoughts. Only thing I'll say is that I really need to find some flared boots for him. SAND: I made this guy to help beef up my JSA. The only reason that I picked him over anyone else is that He looks sweet(and I had the peices for him). I also gave him a flip around head to show his face under the mask Aaaand my camera has no battery power and must charge. I hope to post the rest of my stuff by the end of the day. Let me know what you think
