  1. Gah! There it is -- I think Kubrick's finally hooked me! Bernard & the chicken-thing are my favorites.
  2. That's how it pretty much started for me. T, it's nice to see you around! Clay, welcome! Jenny
  3. Welcome! Like minivenom said, the people around here are pretty nice. (Nicer than some of the other forums I've been on.) Jenny
  4. BS, when I saw it was three, that's exactly what I was going to do. In any event, guys, I hope your birthdays are fantastic! Happy Birthday to all of you!
  5. While I'm not a completist (be it series, line, or whatever), I can completely empathize with BHM. For me, collecting is hard, very hard. I don't live in a teeny, tiny village but it's not a huge city like Chicago or LA -- probably just short of 100,000 people. There are several comic books stores around, but none carry 'mates. Instead of closing one of the 12 TRUs in Minneapolis, they decided to close the one & only one here; so no TRU exclusives (or Tower Records' or Suncoast's). The 3 Targets in the area stopped carrying them about 3 years ago, so none there either. With the exception of a few (2 2-packs) I've found in weird places when I've gone to the Twin Cities, my only alternative is online. You'd think that would be enough, but it's not. Some online stores want outrageous shipping (AFX) or don't care as much as they should for their customer's financial safety/security (CSC) or don't seem to care about their online customers as much as their face-to-face customers (insert half a dozen stores of your choice). eBay could be a viable option, except they no longer protect either side of the transaction the way they are supposed to. On top of that, it's full of scammers & con artists -- completely giving the legit people out there a bad name. So, BHM, I feel your pain.
  6. BHM, I have no idea if you'd consider my post original or not, but here it is regardless. To me, this auction seems sort of silly. I mean, he advertises in his listing that the fig is marked "not for resale," yet he's doing so anyway. That's just asking for his auction to get yanked or for him to get reported. Makes me think of those "America's/World's Dumbest Criminals" videos that they show on TV. (Not saying that what he's doing is criminal, just dumb.)
  7. Luke, that logo rocks!! I can't wait to see what you all come up with. *waits excitedly*
  8. No dinner here. We do a brunch. Breakfast foods are yummy! But Hoppy Easter whatever you do!
  9. That can be BHM's alter ego/secret identity.... Senior Citizen Man!! *fanfare* When you have all the time in the world & nowhere else to be, he'll come to your rescue! Clips coupons (but forgets them at home) faster than a speeding bullet! Drives (with his turn signal forever on) slower than molasses in January! Just teasin', BHM!
  10. I couldn't agree more. When I heard the other day, I was sad -- he was a highlight of the show.
  11. In which universe is sorority slut barbie a superhero?
  12. No, of course not that. This. I thought you were joking here, but googled it, and that is the actual name of Ackbar's species! This cracks me up. Me, too. Space seafood!
  13. I have been waiting since the LEGO Star Wars games came out for this! The only thing that could be better is if they finally release a Lego Bossk like in the game. I love me some Bossk! Here's a link to some of the Toyfair photos: LEGO goodness! It's a trap!
  14. I hope you all have a happy, happy birthday!
  15. As long as it retains from "the original," then I will be satisfied enough with it. However, it is always tough when you attempt to remake a true classic. Here I thought you were sneaking in another link to Chun-Li's shower scene.
  16. OK, I just found the post where someone mentions this about SFII & the 4-packs. Thanks, BHM! Thanks, JP! But would this have been done for an exclusive 'mate tho? The Bruce Wayne was exclusive just to the comic-con.
  17. OK, I've noticed something & I don't know what to make of it. I have a Bruce Wayne 'mate (from the stealth batwing -- The Batman animated version), but his head is painted fleshtone with the face over it. In looking thru the database, I noticed this: his head has been cast in flesh-colored plastic with the face tampo-d on I've found the same thing with M. Bison. I bought the 2-pack w/Chun-li (in blue). In the pack, his suit is more of a dark reddish with both of their heads (his & Chun-li's) painted fleshtone -- like my Bruce Wayne & my exclusive Sue Richards/Johnny Storm (from the Fantastic Four set). But in a mass of frankenmates I received, the included M. Bison was different. This one had his head cast in flesh-colored plastic & his suit is more of a watermelon pink color. I know I'm not going crazy (I think), so what gives??
  18. Can I say all?? I haven't been this excited about a year's worth of 'mates in like forever!
