Hey gang, thanks for the great feedback! here are a few of the random mates i have on different shelves, and areas around my workbench. Whenever I run off some decals, I print out extras for when(not if ) I mess one up, so this is when I have some fun, and try to come up with some new looks using those extras. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it don't, but here are a few of the ones I liked enough to keep around. I also like to make little statues and bases out of lego parts to use for mini-vignettes. This guy I call Hulk Lantern, clever huh This is GreenMajesty, using the same type of leg setup as Hulk Lantern, but different upper half, and a mjestic decal which I couldn't use because I forgot to do the white in it. This guy is Green Ears, well because he has green ears He is also the Villain of the crew This guy I refer to as Rey,he reminds me a little of General Rey from the GI Joe comic, of which I will be doing a custom of soon. He like to rest his feet sometimes too. This guy has been around forever, and I nominated him as the nervous mate, he sports a nifty eyepatch, and the Trap-Jaw decal. He is with a few of my little lego creations, a mini armory, and another lego cross. I'll post some more down the road if you guys

Hey welcome aboard, Funny thing, I just emailed a friend of mine with a .de e-mail address, she is in Germany, and yes, there are so many new minimates coming out this year, it is awesome!

I am glad to see these will be released, plus I can do a Lady Jaye custom with that hat

Same here, on both accounts. With sooo many new things coming out, it is good to see some different stuff.Now my wife, who couldn't care less about minimates, actually said that they look cool(she is a big Madonna fan) and something she could put on her desk at work. That is coming from a person who doesn't collect toys, who is now interested. This, and some of the other lines, may not be everyone's cup of tea, but is it necessary to put these lines down. I am aware people are entitled to their own opinions, and hey I am not interested in some of the stuff we have seen, but that is about as much as I will say about it. I just do not feel it adds to the discussions in a positive way. Sorry for the rant, it is really not something I do very often, but we were just exposed to more minimates than I think anyone expected, which is very exciting, and it still doesn't seem to be enough for some folks. There is so much coming out, that it really shouldn't matter if we like everything.Lets just ride the information wave for awhile, until stuff starts to suffer from poor quality and release dates being pushed back. note:views are subject to change without notice

I have the same feeling about this, I'd rather have a cleaned up version of that hulk with new hair and chest, and the same for wolverine, with that new mask, and torso. I'll end up getting them though, I can put them in my graveyard/halloween if nothing else

Great start gang, but I was thinking on more of an individual mini list but involving all the lines to come up with the list, which last week I would have no doubt put Thor or hawkman at the #1 spot, but now I'm not so sure.

thanks for the updated pics MINIMYTE. OK, i feel as if I am in the minority here, but I am so on board with the full masks with the face right on it.I liked it before, but that Batgirl looks so f'n good with it that way, I dont think it would have worked the other way. It just gives them much more room for expressions/personality. I am also glad that the Blue Beetle goggles are still see-through, this may be the set I am most looking forward to. so excited about this line

Hey thanks Antacost, I also prefer the blue version, there was an interest in a red version at one point so I ended up just doing it. This might be my 2nd custom to hit ebay :biggrin: The hair was started a long time ago, and I forgot about it, so i did the final touches on it, and painted it up. I actually have a lot of stuff almost done, and even more started. Of course there are some more Joes/Cobras, as I still try to get Cobra Commander right. Either Flash, or Grand Slam is on the way, a Cobra Trooper, Doc, Stalker, and some other classic dudes. Also a few Thundercats are on the way, as well as some more dudes from the wildstorm universe. I may post some photos of the guys I just made up playing around with parts and left over decals. Any interest in seeing random heroes/villains who don't exist anywhere outside of my workspace? ps, just noticed I got 5 stars woo-hoo

hey Tenime, I really love the Megatron, maybe even a little more than the Optimus! my guess is Bumblebee next, but that is just who I'd like to see next

Nice thread! I think I have probably about 20 or so . minimate customs here in my posession, some of which are going to some new homes. Overall this is tricky for me, if I were to include my lego customs, 3 3/4 joe customs(been packed away for ages ),and my new favorite base, the Ed McG guys, close to 100. A lot of the stuff I do never sees the light of day, but just for fun I might post a few in my customs thread,like a few of the nervous mates, and a few experiments I have started work on :biggrin:

Thanks gang...I guess its why I'm called nervous . Hey T, I'd love to check out those ski's and poles. As far as the Ed Mcg figures, I want to get done a Majestic, Lion-O, Panthro, and a Black Lightning first, then who knows, maybe see how Snake Eyes translates, the new Batman Beyond might be a good base for that.

I'm pretty sure I got it in a K-Mart, but it is also in any Home Depot, Lowes, etc...usually some in the paint section.

as Timbo says,"goof-off" is my preferred method. How he said too, about rubbing the part against the towell, instead of rubbing the towell on the part, seems to work much much better for some reason

Hey guys, back again with some new stuff, but not minimates. I feel like I'm in the minority when I read some other forums when I say this, but one of my favorite lines to collect are the Ed Mcg figures. Being a fan of his artwork, I couldn't be happier with these figures, especially the Hawkman that is coming out soon. So, what to do with a few extra Captain Atoms?...make some customs. I really enjoyed doing these, both just repaints, but I plan to start doing many more. hope this is cool to post here First is a repaint of Captain Atom himself, with a more chromed out finish. really looks cool in person. and second, my personal favorite Green Lantern, Hal Jordan would you guys care to see more as I get them done? enjoy, and thanks for looking :biggrin:

This kid has been on board since day one , and even moreso since the new pictures came out. I am also impressed with the little details, but my favorite is the fact that his sweatshirt(s) have that little scraggly line around his upper arm to simulate the cut off second sweatshirt he wears over top the other one(I looked for this, because I was was Rocky when I was little, and my favorite part was the double sweatshirt thing...I know, what a dope! ) Cant wait for a Paulie, Clubber, Drago, and Thunderlips!!!
