  1. The New Mutants have been around since the 1980s and have a big enough fan base that I cannot understand why they've been so overlooked by toy companies. Not only that, but all of the characters in that picture are officially considered X-Men now. I suppose it's because of their slightly boring standard uniforms and the high percentage of females, that they keep getting passed over, but IMO they all have something unique about them (Magma's powers, Illyana's sword, Dani's hairstyle, Warlock is very unique-looking). I would run out and get these guys in a heartbeat.
  2. I love doing these battle pics: Wolverine: Just throw me right in the thick of it, Pete! Colossus: As you wish, comrade! Captain America: Look out, Cyclops! Watch your 9 o'clock! Cyclops: Where did all these guys come from?! Nightcrawler: Remember me? Dr. Doom: You DARE lay your hands on Doom?! Black Widow: We're getting pinned in! Hawkeye: Just don't stop, Natasha! Thing: It's Clobberin' Time! Juggernaut: RRRaaarrrgghhh!!!!! Thor: The son of Odin shall smite thee! Storm: Goddess!!! They keep coming! Spidey: It's gettin' crowded in here! So much for that late night dinner with MJ!
  3. Same here. I would Love a Cannonball (Either Current, When he joined the X-Men, X.S.E., or FA) and even consider a Shattershot (Current), but NOT in their Liefeldesque costumes. I have no nostalgia for that era. Thunderbird is essentially Warpath in the above costume. I know some collectors haven't been around that long, but DST is losing my money with all of these repeats of characters in the same friggin' costumes.
  4. These look fantastic! An Alpha Flight box set would've really gotten me excited this year. Listen up DST! I won't be getting your Liefeld-inspired stuff w/characters we already have. Any actual releases of the characters that Psyguy has customized, I WOULD.
  5. Oh, and I just realized... There've been many times I wanted to compliment Boyd's customs, but didn't know how on his site, so now is the perfect opportunity to say, "Great job on that Vandal Savage!"
  6. I already have your site on my favorites list... I check it ever so often.
  7. The Giant Size X-Men set is very frustrating to me as well. My favorite costume for Storm is her original one and this means I'll have to pay a fortune to get figures I already have, just to get her. I had to get another Cyclops when I pre-ordered Phoenix, as well. I'll have 5 duplicate figures before long! PLEASE Hasbro, make a single-carded figure of Storm in this outfit.
  8. As promised here are some pictures of Wave 8. Juggernaut & Havok: I didn't like the Lockheed that came with Kitty, so I borrowed the minimate Lockheed: Colossus: I've been wanting to do this a LONG time :
  9. LMAO @ youbastards! Over at Minimates Headquarters I posted that "I had just threw up a little in my mouth." We're getting a Feral before we ever get Sunfire, Banshee, or even Wolfsbane? Really? The Deadpool looks too much like the one we have...only worse. Cable... Yawn. Domino looks like an old lady taking a dump.
  10. I thought that the "Liefeld" era would be something everyone would want to forget! Gross! Pass! Pass! Pass!
  11. Well, Wave 8 is just about to hit stores and then comes Wave 9 with Iron-Spidey, Wrecker, Iron Patriot, Winter Soldier, Skrull soldier, & M.J. Watson so it'll be a while before this wave hits. I'll only be getting Mystique and Captain Britain from Wave 10. Wolverine is a waste of a slot and a future peg-warmer. Ghost Rider looks great, but I think a lot of people are hoping for a future release with his motorcycle (Hasbro already released a Wolverine with one). I'm not really a Madrox fan, but I'm glad they've branched out into some non-X-Men mutants. It gives me some hope that I'll see some of the New Mutants on down the road. I wish they had 6 characters in this wave like they usually do. I'm actually more excited about the Dark Phoenix figure coming out. Also, I received an e-mail that my Colossus, Kitty Pryde, Havok, & Juggernaut are in the mail! I'll post pics at the end of the week when I get them. Wish List: We need Beast! Scarlet Witch! Rogue! First Appearance Storm! Dr. Strange! Classic Angel! Yellowjacket!
  12. I'm glad some other people are doing designs now. For the longest time I felt like I was the only one. They inspired me to do one for old time's sake. Here's Obsidian:
  13. Great, great job! So glad to see someone doing these...
  14. Looking at Luke's DC customs is like looking into an alternate universe where DC minimates are still made. They absolutely look as good as if they were made by DST, themselves. I'm sad again.
  15. I'm honestly, pleasantly surprised. I especially like the Lady Liberty & Subway ghost. I had given up on anything more coming out of this line that sparked my interest.
  16. Another good job! When I first looked at the title, I was skeptical because Mockingbird's mask seems like a tough job to tackle, but it looks awesome! These are all characters I want as well, Psyguy.
  17. I hope you're talking about the ones in the regular Astonishing X-Men and not these new, god-awful, obscenities they are wearing in X-Men:Xenogenesis.
  18. God, yes! White Tiger, Black Tarantula, Hand Ninjas , PLEASE...anything to stop the onslaught of same characters. P.S. If they make that FF box set with Spidey and Wolvie, I swear I'll buy it and burn it. I'll use the picture as my avatar.
  19. These are guesses and not necessarily what I want: Outback X-Men (to go with Betsy): Dazzler* Longshot Brown Wolverine (not that I want it) Colossus (shirtless & bulkier) Heroic Age: Steve Rogers (new uniform) Mockingbird* Iron Man (new armor) Hank Pym (Wasp uniform) Young Avengers: Patriot* Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)* Hulkling* Wiccan* and of course ( Hulk thru the ages, 4 different Spider-Mans all in the same costume box set, Iron Man box set with 4 identical figures except each one has one slight difference making it a different armor) * denotes actual ones I need.
  20. Medusa would have been a more logical choice, but I think Betsy is made out of reused pieces to save money (Moon Knight cape). I've wracked my brain about how they would do a Medusa hairpiece. Maybe the hair would work as a stand as well? Maybe DST doesn't feel the extra work involved to be worth it? Lockjaw, himself is an entirely new sculpt. maybe they want to see how well he sells first. Just speculating, though. I have no idea why they choose who they do.
  21. Hasbro is horrible about producing any females. They haven't even made an Invisible Woman to complete the FF. Sometimes they DO throw a totally unexpected figure at you though, so you never know.
  22. Dinobot, She's the twin sister of Captain Britain and was born Caucasian with blonde hair. She dyed it purple after she became a supermodel in the UK. Her Asian body belonged to a Japanese assassin named Kwannon. Unfortunately for Kwannon, HER mind was put in the Caucasian body and contracted the Legacy virus. For a while she helped the X-Men under the code name, Revanche: She had her lover help her commit suicide rather than die of her illness.
