The item number for the Marvel wave is 113214. I have that number ingrained in my brain since it is reused for all normal TRU Marvel waves. Movie waves are different, though. I am in the camp of generally buying only TRU exclusive figures and not repacks, unless there's some difference that makes me want to buy the repack or if I want multiples of a certain figure. I have my own rules on this but I will continue to support the LCS and other retailers who support the main line. Heck, I still regret buying the Spidey Wave (Shocker, Kraven, Cosmic Spidey) at TRU before my LCS got them.

The case ratio is 4:4:2:2 with the brothers being shortpacked. I saw a full case of 12 on the pegs. I also don't see these being too difficult in the long run since in my eyes, I don't see any "heavy hitters". Stay Pufts, though, are rare and I've seen up to two cases of the Best Of (minus Stay Pufts) pegwarming in a few stores. And if anybody still needs it, the item number for this wave is 218815.

Didn’t we have a single custom ‘mate that some of us mailed all around the world to each other to take pictures with and then send it off to another location for fun? I faintly remember that. Well, I say we do that for Spider-Max! And I’m putting my name on the top of the list. Just don’t blame me if the person after me doesn’t get it due it being lost in the mail…

I'm sad they never got to release that one. It's the only one I really wanted... But I'm happy that Spidey Maximate is in good hands!

Heck, I think the only error is that the variant label was put on the wrong package when the "higher-ups" decided on which Angel is the variant. I'm still bitter about the War Machine variant situation when Rhodey was the variant. Nothing happened there, doubt anything would happen here. If anything, they should just let retailers know which is the variant so the blue Angels aren't all marked up. I was one of the few in the blue Angel camp but am sad to see blue marked up since I wanted more than one.

I'm kind of sad we can't see Klaw's claw. I thought we would get a peek on the back of the box. Oh the mystery! And I always thought WWH Hulk would be paired up with the Silver Savage version of the Silver Surfer. A bit disappointed with the battle damaged Reed due to that, but the attachments might win me over. The Cap/Wolvie seems like a sort of reissue that lures in the completists. Hopefully it's an even packed wave. I too am liking the 4 sets instead of the 5 sets per box assortment. Makes things a little more manageable. Though GB Best of Wave case ratio of 4:4:2:2 has me wondering if that might happen here too... And I'm guessing these come out in March. We got them coming in Sept with wave 4, Dec with wave 5, March seems likely if it continues with the 3 month shelf lifespan. The statistics for the online stock of the wave 5 seems likely to me that wave 6 may be online too (as long as people buy some more Spidey packs. Here's the current stock: 9x Iron Man/Titanium Man 2x Cap Marvel/Black Bolt 22x Spider-Man/Scorpion) Overall, not greatly excited, but still excited for this wave.

219056 The title is something like "Ghostbusters Minimates Best of". I saved that number on my phone but forgot to post it earlier. I feel your pain on checking more than you really should... Only good thing now is that post-X-mas, TRU seems to only get one shipment in per week. Well, that's what they say...

I'm surprised that they weren't able to get you a different flight base instead. But yeah, with any TRU exclusive figure, they don't have any extra parts since TRU is in possession of all of them. I still have an Angel with two left arms.

I always use the 6-digit item number (113214). That applies to the entire line and I have used that ever since the first wave came out when asking if these are in stock. To me, it's just easier to remember and say over the phone. Also, you can use both numbers online. I don’t have any experience with the UPC number or if it works to see if a specific pack is in stock, though. I faintly remember from a long time ago a worker scanning the UPC for me saying that since this is an assortment case, it can’t see if a specific pack is in stock but I might be wrong. And a tip, the numbers from the computers aren’t always accurate… If they are nice, they may check for you if they aren’t too busy or lazy or… meanie. Good luck and Merry New Year to you! :biggrin:

I think there's going to be one more chance at the Surfer set in a few weeks. But after that, I doubt they would carry the next wave or two until they get rid of the Iron Man and Spidey packs. Those probably will pegwarm online for a while... Please prove me wrong TRU.com!

I thought they would appear soon. TRU.com cleared out all the unrelated items when you do a search for minimates late last week and that had me wondering about if wave 5 would be sold online. Between these being offered online and groundhog7s offering to help in the minimate assistance thread, hopefully these will get to everyone who wants one here.

Single day passes went up this morning. Sat is almost 40% gone already. If anybody is interested, better grab them now. I'm guessing Sat will be gone within 48 hours, if not tonight.

Spider-buggy? Please? Oh who am I kidding? The Marvel license probably isn't part of this. I'd have to see the M.A.X. jet in person before I decide. The others don't interest me much, especially since I don't buy those lines.

I'm surprised that the website has it all sold out. Yet, I still see plenty of them at most stores. The set is actually more fun than I thought it would be. I have no affinity for Photon, but I love putting the extra Spidey mask on her and giving Spidey the afro hairpiece.

I'm really curious to see how the Swordsman/Surfer set pans out and if it pegwarms later down the line or is the first to disappear. If it disappears, then I think there could be a market for a 1 per case Angel reissue. Both sets have a figure people might be familiar with and another they probably aren't familar with. Plus the familiar figure has a visual hook: wings (Angel), shiny (Surfer). Bullseye/Moonstone is tough to say, though.

Just curious if people think there should be a TRU “catch-up” wave similar to Series 7 where we got reissues of Silver Surfer (Tower Records exclusive), Ultimate Spidey (DST SDCC exclusive), Rhino (TRU exclusive), and Gray Hulk (TRU/DST SDCC) along with a couple of new 'mates. It hasn’t been done since then but this might help alleviate some of our TRU woes. Based on the past, it seems we might get about 4 TRU waves in the span of about 12 months and this might be good as filler. Definitely Angel/Warpath and Bullseye/Moonstone are needed. Would many of you still buy/rebuy these? Should these be 1 per case since there’s already some out there? Leave it be or flood the pegs with these again (if possible)?

I actually have the same issue when I went to bend my Scorpion's knees. The right didn't seem to get the green paint all the way through. But the left knee is fine when you bend the leg. I guess it's nice to know this isn't just me. Still don't know if I want to get a second figure or even go to DST customer service about that. I probably won't bother DST since I'd rather go to them when something major hapens.

Your Photon doesn't seem to be treating you well either. Well, I'm having troubles with her feet. The best analogy I can think of for my problem is Photon having high heels but without the heel so she keep falling backwards when I try to stand her up. I need to chip away the front bottom part of both her feet since there is a thin lining of paint left there making her uneven.

I think the online store is hesistant to stock the Marvel stuff since they seem to get burned by all the pegwarmers no one wants (Hulk/Domination anyone?). Also, these waves are being released one after another pretty quickly. That doesn’t help much since they can’t clear the old stuff out fast enough and the computer doesn’t differentiate between the different Marvel waves. But since the last of the regular TRU wave stuff is gone, I just have a feeling that these may pop up online again. They took a few weeks after initial in-store reports of the first wave if I remember correctly. However, I’m not holding my breath.

No wonder the pegs are always bare whenever I go home for vacation. It's you guys!

Try using the 6 digit item number when you call: 113214 I always use that since the computer can't claim ignorance.

I was worried that Surfer's peg on the bottom of his board might make things unstable if you didn't want to use the flight base, but it actually isn't too bad. Still needs some balancing, though. And I was hoping Swordsman would have two swords, cuz you know, his name is SWORDS-man. I can't say I'm very familiar with that character but I do remember seeing him carrying two swords in one of the Thunderbolt's variant covers. Oh well. Loved his raised eyebrow expression! And DST needs to start rolling out more flight bases in more two packs so we can use them on all the old fliers we have!

Do you mean the pointy ends are hitting the ground preventing him from standing properly? Well, I had/still have that problem. Instead of curving it inwards, I just bend it outwards forcefully long enough to hopefully stay more bent out.
