Just adding some more stuff to mrjasontodd's report (who, by the way, didn't meet up with the other multiversers outside after the panel *cough cough* :tongue: ) Panelists: Zach (marketing supervisor), Chuck (director), Digger (creator of minimates), Jason Wires (head product painter) -Zach admits to being dumber this year than last year as he couldn't get the slideshow feature to work on his Mac. Audience member told him how to do it and deemed her the new marketing supervisor of DST! -Marvel vs Capcom wave 3 is final wave in the line. -Munsters vehicle. Can't remember if it was the BW figure or the color figure but the face changed from originally planned sad to happy. But Zach mentioned that in the episode he lost the race, he had a sad face so it would have been appropriate. -This year is the 10th anniversary of minimates. Next year is the 10th anniversary of Marvel minimates. -Not sure if this was known before but it was mentioned that Colossus has a fastball special hand to throw Wolverine. -TRU wave 14 Miles/Ult Cap, Havok/Storm (to round out outback X-Men), Box/Vindicator (to round out Alpha Flight), Iron Man (before Extremis armor)/Rhino. -Marvel wave 48 Torch has a flame base. Invisible Woman has a force field base. -Will get control art soon on wave 50. -Star Trek Enterprise. Command chair possibly removable to display it next to the ship. -Video of new Pirate Raiders stop motion shown. Chuck actually hasn't seen it yet. Ends in cliffhanger with 2nd half possibly shown at NYCC. -Basically Vanes goes to meet Madusa. No one lived after seeing Madusa's stare other than Calico Jack. Madusa give Vanes a magical periscope(?) to find Calico Jack. Vanes is shown on the GITD ship and ends with him looking into the periscope and Calico Jack being shown in periscope. -Same guy who does the Marvel Super Heroes: What The--?! videos did it. Zach used to work with him for Twisted Toy Fair Q&A Anyone who asks a question gets a chance to grab a promo from a bag, which includes translucent blue Vorin, gold Vorin, and Agent 88 promos. -Will see more animals in Battle Beasts line other than the scorpions and spiders. -Calico Jack on hold for now. Focusing on Battle Beasts. -DST doesn't have license for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom but hopes SFxTekken will fill holes in the Street Fighter side. -Kirk in the Enterprise set is a new mold and design. The Enterprise is going to test the market and will focus on the TV properties and not the recent movie reboot. -Doesn't seem likely there will be another fan poll as Chuck seems against it even though Zach fought hard for it. Maybe for Marvel wave 100? But they are looking at the voting data for future consideration of sets. -No DC. -No Mars Attacks minimates but Chuck admits that it'd be cool. -DST has seen the new Marvel Now designs and are looking for ways to work them into series when possible. -Thundercats are only 4 packs. -Extra pieces, parts sets only? Chuck says no but is looking into packs of the bases but no blank bodies. -No vehicles for Thundercats planned. -Current Battle Beasts line not related to old line. Want to focus on the minimate aspect of interchangeability. So can make hybrid minimate creatures. -He-Man? GI Joe? Other 80s properties? GI Joe and Transformers won't happen. But DST does lots of design work that may or may not happen. Kickstarter trailer for Digger's Agent 88 movie shown. Raffle prize revealed! 2 Vorin test shots! Don't think the winner is part of the MMMV but graciously offered a couple of quick pics!

Well, that TRU AvX fan poll pic was posted. So I might as well explain. Those 4 are not the winners (as I originally thought). They are just 4 prototypes that they have at the show. There are prototypes of the other 2, though. But the voting isn't final yet, I believe.

Zach mentioned the corresponding TRU wave would have Airwalker/Firelord (the unmade ones from Heralds of Galactus).

From Chuck: -Walking Dead specialty preorders easily blow away recent Marvel specialty preorders. -Will have direct market waves as well as TRU waves (similar to Marvel where TRU gets repacks and exclusives) -Some retailer in the UK ordered enough Walking Dead sets that they will be able to carry them in the UK (they don't get minimates directly from Diamond anymore, I think? I forgot what the deal was).

From Zach: Battle Beasts shown are specialty market. Comic accurate. Humans only in specialty. TRU will have wave of BB too. Same figures but repainted to grab the attention of kids. More vibrant color schemes and such. And TRU will have 2 more beasts to replace the humans. Edit: Not sure if this is mentioned already. Just the blue translucent Battle Beast promo will be given out each day.

I tried it once at the store for, I think, some Halo sets and they were posted online before the store got them. The store said since they didn't get any in yet, they would have to charge shipping. Otherwise, it should be free shipping. I've done it successfully a couple of times.

You guys are lucky you get to see it earlier. Darn West Coast time. It was funny seeing glimmers of the old Jericho. His counter to DB's Yes chants were ridiculous (Again! Again! Again!). And my favorite part was him doing the one foot "Come on baby!" cover. I really want him to win Money in the Bank. For the sole reason that as the "creator", he can be the first to lose when he cashes it in and get that infamous title. Plus, he can leave and do his concerts for a while and come back next year to cash it in while the other winner can taunt it on TV every week. AJ doesn't need to be Divas champ yet. She will be eventually after this whole storyline runs through. She outshines the title right now and her feuding with Layla distracts from her current thing. But she needs some competition in the ring eventually. So it was nice to see something going on with Eve. Eve/DB hooking up? Either way, I don't see DB being champ until after Summerslam during the quiet period between Summerslam and Wrestlemania. Good ending to RAW, though. Slater just needs to go to the ring with a guitar and hit people over the head with it like Double J. I admit he's got some charisma and is doing okay being the annoying heel. And did you guys see the promo for 3-hour RAW after the show? I thought that was hilarious! Baking a cake? Kuwait? Felt like a nice after-credits scene after a good movie.

Aww Snarf it... I'm in... I get the feeling that Snarf isn't articulated but just designed to go with the minimate looks. But I would be wrong. Who's going to army build Snarfs?

Needs bunny head, if you ask me. Pairing Deadpool with bunny ears was my intention. Then when I saw Bunny Suit Lego dude next to FF Spidey on my desk, it worked out better! Didn't have a Lego Deadpool at the time. [below are just reposts into this thread]

Despite my, umm, heckling (?), I didn't even think you'd share what you have already. As I said before, I am just happy enough for this little peek into your bunker and don't expect anything. Hey Shane, your Bombermate looks like it is still holding up well. Mine isn't, but it doesn't make it any less special. I'd love to see the original master list of who it was all given out to sometime. That'd be neat but I'm sure it's in the Area 51 portion of the MMMV. Rob, I'm not going to ask if those are 3 different cases you shown so far or just 2.

Anyone else watch the new NXT that just debuted? It was nice to see a more wrestling oriented wrestling show with minimal bells and whistles. But it's WWE, the shenanigans will come eventually to NXT but it was a breath of fresh air. I didn't know how much I missed JR's commentary until I sat through the entire show. Regal seemed more focused too. Kidd was great with McGillicutty in the main event. Lots of new faces. And I'm liking the Ascension tag team. The division is missing the big bad brawlers and they have an interesting gimmick that I think is more production. But they delivered it in the ring and seem to be a credible threat. Either way, they got my attention and that's a good thing. Can't wait to finally see what Seth Rollins is about and to see Bray Wyatt (Husky Harris).

Yes master! Talking about Lego head on Minimates. This really is on my desk. I did the mash up earlier this week and as much as I like FF Spidey, this has tickled my heart.

Ah, Samoa Joe. I wish he was in WWE too but not sure how WWE would handle him. I think he'd quit before doing a Brodus Clay dancing gimmick or something foolish. But I'd love to see him in matchups with all the top WWE stars. Austin Aries is very impressive too since he came back to TNA. And did anyone else think Harley Quinn when they saw AJ in the Kane inspired outfit? More of her skipping on TV please! In random matches too!
