  6. I don't know if any of you folks are into Sideshow product, but the Spooktacular they do every year is a fun way to get some nice deals and even free swag. I got a free Morgul Lord Mask sculpture this morning. I will try to post links to "secret" deals when/if I find some, but they go fast. There is also a contest where you need to collect clues and enter them all on the last day of the contest. Its a string of words to form a phrase. So far I have: TRICK OR TREAT THIS IS NEAT THE SIDESHOW SPOOKTACULAR SCAVENGER HUNT WILL SOON Stay tuned.
  7. Great job all around folks. I am loving all the Star Wars mates. The Shocktrooper is a personal fav next to the 501st Spec Ops.
  8. I love all the monster cereals. I wish we could get some Monster cereal minimates and not those dumb Kellogg's characters.
  9. Well, I am serious when I say that I had NO intention of buying one of these, but Cappy totally screwed that up. I will more than likely buy the Ghost Rider figure now that I know they are pretty dang cool.
  10. I spent a few hours last night working on the carbeurator of my Harley, so I spent this morning trying to scrub the black goop from my fingers. At about 6:00 AM I took my dog for a walk and she stepped in Fire Ants, so I had to brush them off her as she tried to run from me and the ants bit me. When the walk was over, I had a bowl of Frankenberry and watched CNN. After a shower, I headed for work and spent the day putting out IT related fires. Its almost time to go home and I plan to plant my ass on the couch for the only night I tend to watch television (because The Office is on). I will crack open a Guinness or a Murphy's and let the hilarity take me away on a carpet ride of uncomfortable workplace related comedy.
  11. Ah yes, that is what friends are for?! Welcome!
  12. Silver Jet, I don't read many comics these days. I find it hard to keep up, so I buy a lot of TPBs in my old age. However, I do subscribe to New Avengers and it is (IMO) one of the best storylines out there. It is touched by the whole Civil War drama, but still tries to maintain its own presence.
  13. Stan the man would be cool to meet. I met up with Lou Ferigno at SDCC this year. We talked for a while and he autographed a few things for me. A real cool cat.
  14. I got my Series 13 case last night. Its good to finally be getting new minis. I don't think the packaging stands out as nicely, but I'm just happy to have new figures. I am more interested in Series 12 than 13. Figures...
  15. Being an American, I only ever caught the fringes of Dr. Who. However, I think its a great series and the new version looks prett good also. Dr. Who minis would be cool. Dalek minis, oh yeah!
  16. Image Anime has Series 2 up for pre-order. You might find other shops selling them. http://www.imageanime.com/marvel.html See what you started Cappy?
  17. Always on your time, always around your schedule, "ME, ME, ME, ME, ME." Well, they don't call me King Shanester Jerkface for nuttin!
  18. I think anytime is fine, but a scheduled meet-up would also be cool.
  19. I like the Lego minifigs and consider them the spark that started Kubricks, Mez-its, & Minimates. I have the Mez-its Alien and its an OK figure IMO. Not real crazy about them, although I love the licenses those guys have. Horror movie minimates would be awesome. I have a few Kubricks. Thats another company with some great licenses. Star Wars minimates?! The artwork is great but they are too clumsy IMO. Thanks to MV, I have quite a nice collection of Lego Star Wars minifigs.
  20. I don't think I really understood when my Great-Grandma died. I was about 6 years old and she was the coolest person in the world to me (she ranked with Ultraman and Underdog!). Anyway, my folks told me she went to live in heaven and that was enough for me. I didn't fully understand the hows and the whys, but I accepted it. Good luck pal. Its not an easy one to make a child understand. Not sure I understand it half the time.
  21. And he still bought it for me. What a guy! The figure is a lot crappier (word?) in person than the photos I saw beforehand. I certainly would not pay $10 for one (again).
  22. I got mine at retail when they first came out.
