Guessing would be fun if there were any sort of hint. Otherwise my "guesses" would just look like a wish list. There's no rhyme or reason to their wave/character distribution, other than the fact that we can count on movie tie-ins, which 35 already accomplished. 27 - Ultimates 28 - Wolverine (comic-based movie tie-in) 29 - Mixed 30 - Spider-Man 31 - Mixed 32 - Mixed 33 - Mixed 34 - X-Men 35 - Iron Man Movie If I had to take a stab, I might say "Iron Man Comic" wave. In which case my wish list... er, I mean guess would be: Stealth Iron Man (updated) / Crimson Dynamo Silver Centurion Iron Man (updated) / Comic Blacklash Mandarin (modern robed) / Mandroid or Dreadnought (army builder) Mandarin variant (classic purple mask) / Mandroid or Dreadnought (army builder)

Huh. I usually define both "alternates" as variants -- one being the variant of the other and vice-versa. Learn something new every day. SO... who's left? Given the Jim Lee theme so far, it could be any of the heroes needing an update: Brown Wolverine JL Jean Grey (why not?) Jubilee Colossus ...or villains: Sinister Juggernaut Sebastian Shaw Omega Red OR, if someone did guess it, the only guess containing BQ Jean and Selene: 90s Jean, Selene So I'm still hopeful for a JL Jean.

They closed the guessing, so someone got it right. The right answer's on their Facebook page somewhere. If Jean isn't a variant, then it stands to reason that's the only Jean we're getting in the wave. So if there's a Jim Lee Jean, it'll be a TRU companion exclusive. Which means: Dark Beast. OR... the as-yet unrevealed character will have a variant. Unless as noted above, they're fudging the truth, or shipping waves differently starting with 34.

Well that's crazy. Given that they've shut down the voting/guessing... I don't think there was a single guess including Black Queen that didn't also include 90's Jean. Unless they're counting generic "Jean Grey" guesses as equivalent to Black Queen. If Jean's not the variant, the most likely candidate is Beast. Guesses with Dark Beast and some form of Jean Grey: Jean Grey, Jubilee, Dark Beast SO... Jubilee fans rejoice? All two of you?

This wave really feels like a kind of companion/sequel to the previous '90s X-Men (plus Deadpool) wave, where we already got Wolverine, plus we only just got Daken in that outfit -- so I'd actually be really surprised to see him in this wave... Is it assumed that 90s Jean Grey would be the variant? Or might it be Black Queen Selene? The other could be: Juggernaut (big chest), Colossus (big chest), Jubilee, Brown Wolverine, Omega Red They say on Twitter that guessing's done, which would suggest that one of the lineups posited on Facebook was the correct one. So just look at all the guesses that included Black Queen Jean, and narrow down from there. Possibilities as posted: 90s Jean, Jubilee 90s Jean, Omega Red 90s Jean, Selene 90s Jean, Blink 90s Jean, Juggernaut 90s Jean, Colossus 90s Jean, Brown Wolverine 90s Jean, Mr. Sinister ...so I guess that locks in Jim Lee Jean. The other seems likely to be: Jubilee, Brown Wolverine, or Colossus Smart money is on Wolverine.

I'm sure it has been mentioned before, but I'm too lazy to comb this thread: Masters of the Universe. Pair with Mattel, offer them for $8 a two-pack at MattyCollector. Lots of parts re-use possibilities. Yeah, they should be cheaper but I'm basing this on a realistic projection given their standard pricing for other online figures.

It is frustrating, and I get that. I definitely feel it, as there is no Toys R' Us to speak of at all in my neck of the woods. So I'm stuck trading and going secondary market, paying inflated prices. ...but only for those figures "exclusive" to TRU. I get the bulk of my 'mates cheap as sets of 8 from the likes of CSC and AFX. Ultimately, I don't mind the pain of the hunt if it means I can get more obscure selections. That said, I dig the new Surfer but it's a bit "meh." And I'm still holding out for a classic Swordsman.

They've been too busy filling out the rosters for the X-Men and the Avengers themselves, in their various endless eras and incarnations, to get to many of the villains ... Plus the heros always seem to outnumber and be more memorable than the villains in Marvel's big team books, with some notable exceptions (quite a few of which we have gotten). With the FF I think they've done well -- Doom, Namor, Super-Skrull, Surfer and Galactus. Any truly major bad guys left? Mole Man I guess? For FF, I'd want to see the following before they're done: Mole Man Frightful Four Members: Wizard, Sandman (alt suit), Trapster, Medusa Galactus Heralds: Terrax, Firelord, Airwalker Annihilus Diablo Psycho-Man Mad Thinker / Awesome Android ...plus some way to do a giant Gormuu! Get rights to do rotocast "Minimate Banks" like Sta-Puft. RE: Spidey Set: SWEET. Love the Vulture and New Ock.

I'd buy a Mockingbird / Tigra set to complete the original West Coast Avengers lineup. And maybe a sleeved Hawkeye update, or grey-haired Wonder Man with an updated Silver Centurion Iron Man for that matter. For the older Avengers, I'd like to see: Swordsman / Mantis Black Knight / Falcon Starfox / 80s She-Hulk
