  1. Gladiator and Deathbird in a dead heat? Who'dathunk? A lot of Shi'ar love here. Shi'arly you can't be serious? "I am. And don't call me Shi'arly." ...and the poor Sidri! They are currently off drinking away their woes with the Living Monolith. "F this place! I'm going home!"
  2. 1st app = 1987! I gots mad love for warwolves, may need to save 'em for an "late 80s X-pansion poll".
  3. It became apparent to me as I tried to write up an "X-Men Poll" that I needed to get really specific, and even then it required a series of Sophie's Choices. Some will no doubt note the absences of Proteus, Amahl Farouk and Master Mold, for example. I elected to go with classic villains this time around for a number of reasons, including: a) we've had an embarrassment of riches with respect to X-heroes of this era, and b ) there was such a preponderance of mutant characters in the late 80s and 90s they need their own poll, or a series of them. [for purposes of definition: "Classic" here (and wherever I use it) means Bronze Age-ish, or roughly up to and including 1985] So it came down to this crew, all of which I'd want to see honestly. And some interesting Army Builder choices that should prove to be tougher competition than what turned out to be a two-way race between the Alpha Primitives and Galactus' Punisher robots. Have at it!

    WAVE 76

Boomerang's costume has changed significantly though.
  5. New villain: fairly recent, current, or imminent?
  6. I reckon I will, in a little while. I'm wary of giving everyone poll fatigue. Is there a particular corner you'd want to see next BD?
  7. Time to call it. Well played, Uatu. Well. Played. And by a primate hair, the Alphas. The runners-up: Thanks to all who voted!
  8. I kept the Inhumans separate and distinct from this poll, because I see them as their own team - I very much want to see that team completed, at the very least the Royal Family & Maximus. For this poll, I wanted to gauge interest for the remaining classic FF villains & players, though I clearly dropped the ball by omitting Red Ghost. Looks like Uatu's running away with it, but I'm pleased to see that Dragon Man is also making a strong showing. The dead heat in the army builder race is also interesting...
  9. That's a pretty strong lineup Trev! I like that it nods to the modern as well with Jae Lee Karnak. I agree that an Impossible Man MiniMate would be very interesting - it could have some great accessories. With an alt chest and head, you've got Impossible Woman, too.
  10. Ah you know what hellpop? You're right! I forgot to add Red Ghost. He'd definitely fit in with this bunch.
  11. Uatu is a good call - and the Watchers' appearance in GotG makes him pretty timely.
  12. For easy reference, here are the proposed army builders: Punisher Robots Alpha Primitives Borers Ovoids
  13. The FF actually have pretty good representation in MiniMate format, but there are a few high-profile stragglers left from the classic era. Who do you think DST should produce next? And as a bonus question, who should their next army builder be?
  14. Dutch and Dillon are AWESOME. I need to double up on that bro-hand for Power Man & Iron Fist. I'll also add my voice to the chorus for the following from Predators: Stans, Mombasa, masked Berserker, the "River Ghost", Tracker Predator, and the captured Classic Predator. Perhaps also cloaked-masked Berserker and cloaked Tracker. Hey! That's 8! Full wave! Stans/Berserker masked Mombasa/Tracker River Ghost/Tracker Cloaked Classic Pred/Berserker masked-cloaked
  15. I was always curious about that too - Shuma Gorath was famously the only Marvel character that didn't get a Mini from the MVC3 waves. Maybe a combo of a chest cap that sits over the head & arm pegs, and a "lower torso plug" (for lack of a better term) that matches up & adds two more "lower arm" pegs. A challenge for sure, but I have faith.
  16. Classic Dormammu / Shuma Gorath Ka-Zar / Zabu Psycho-Man / Dragon Man Son of Satan / Brother Voodoo
  17. BD beat me to this post. Totally agree that the smooth Sentinel boots would have been the way to go. Only new gloves would have been needed. This would be a good opportunity for an upgrade if it's ever re-released in any format, like say an army builder 4-pack... (nevertheless, I bought four sets and distributed the extra ice parts to my Iceman mates. but I'd buy four more if re-done!)
  18. Ahhhhhhh. Shuma Gorath! I want him so badly. What an interesting MiniMate that would be.
  19. Yes, and I'm STOKED. Jack o' & Carrion were on my hot list, and they look great. Like Miry I never expected smoking jacket Chameleon, but it's a must-buy for me. If/when you do get to a classic Beetle, DST may like to casually peruse the Marvel Legends figure that just came out. It's pretty perfect, with both wings and the carapace pieces (technically "elytron" pieces, I suppose).
  20. Instant buys: Surtur, Purple Man, Carrion, Jack o' Lantern, Chameleon, Collector (I'll QC a classic version), BoEM box. Lots of goodness.
  21. Did they make a Kurse figure from Dark World?
  22. Smythe already got a figure though in the movie line. Leonard Sampson was technically in the Incredible Hulk. If they're not counting Marvel vs. Capcom figures, Dormammu was recently in Dr. Strange. Oh wait, there's Kurse.
  23. I wonder who the character is that's "been in a movie?" (but is otherwise fairly obscure)
