  1. I don't know the character but Nightrunner looks excellent. I love the work-in-progress picture of Spawn too.
  2. Thanks for the comments! I'm managing to get through quite a few customs that have been in the works for a while at the minute. I am predominantly an X-Men fan, so here are a couple more characters based on their 90's appearances. Moira Mactaggert was pretty simple. I did consider giving her some glasses and I'm not entirely happy with the hairpiece, but when she wore this costume she did have a similar haircut. She has a Bruce Banner coat, Wasp hair and Pepper Potts face. Spiral is a custom I have wanted to have a go at for a while. She has a T2 Sarah head, a modified Deathstrike hairpiece and sculpted boots. I cut off arm pegs from other torso pieces and glued them to the chest block. She has pretty good articulation in the arms but I had to use a lot of glue and I haven't take the arms off since I put them on, just in case they snap off. At the minute she has Valkyrie/Swordsman swords until I can get some better ones. Thanks for looking!
  3. It's just an old Lexmark inkjet printer. I think the model is a Z605 but I don't think they are made any more. My original printer packed up a couple of months ago and I had just bought new ink cartridges. Luckily I managed to pick up another printer of the same model on ebay for £10, and so far it has been working fine. At some point I would look into getting a brand new printer but for now it suits me. I use a comibination of different paint brands. At the minute I have some Tamiya, some Revell and a few Vallejo to get a good range of colours. The Revell can be very thick and needs watering down. I find it needs more sanding down after each coat. The Tamiya can be too thin, requiring more coats but I like both brands. I know some board members have recommended Vallejo but I haven't really used them enough to have a strong opinion yet. The decal paper I get from ebay, I can pass on the seller's details if you would like. I think Luke sells decal paper too. Hope this helps a little!
  4. Thanks for taking the time to transcribe for those who couldn't be there, Luke. Hope your son gets well.
  5. Sure! I have the face and chest that you can have. The wrists/legs etc were cut to size from a larger sheet of bubbles/orange background but I can mail you what I used, no problem.
  6. Here's a few more I have been working on for a while, on and off. After seeing youbastard's New Warriors customs last year I really wanted a set of my own. Here's my take on the team, heavily inspired by his set. Night Thrasher uses his idea for the helmet (Stealth Batman). The body is from Wildcat and the wrist/hand pieces are from Apocalypse. Speedball was a bit of a labour but I am quite pleased how he turned out. He has Darkstalkers Demitri hair, Booster Gold face with a clear decal over it and Nightcrawler bamf base with clear coloured decals. All other details are decals too. Here's the finished group. I slightly modified Firestar again by giving her the AoA Rogue chest piece. Namorita has a new chest decal, FC Emma face and new sculpted ears. Nova borrows heavily from youbastards custom and uses a decal based on Luke's blank male chest decal. Marvel Boy has a modified Yellowjacket mask and Blue Beetle face. He is the one I am least happy with, I might change him a little in the future.
  7. Great work as always! Prefer these to the official release.
  8. Wow...I echo the compliments. Magma looks fantastic, and the group shot is awesome!!!
  9. Really nice work. I had seen your gallery before as well and wondered why you weren't on the multiverse.
  10. Thanks everyone! Appreciate the comments. Little update today. Next in my Dark X-Men customs, Mystique. She has a backwards Elektra skirt piece, decals and a little sculpting. Now there is an upcoming Psylocke mate in her original X-Men outfit (which I never thought would happen) I wanted to do another Psylocke-related custom. Revanche has Betsy Braddock arms/legs with paint and decals, plus thigh and wrist bands from 90's Cyclops. The head is Magik and the hair is movie Black Widow. Finally, Yellowjacket II uses a modified Yellowjacket shoulder piece, modified Catwoman mask and trimmed Wolverine boot pieces. I have a few more in the works to share soon. Thanks for looking!
  11. Both look great youbastards. Really nice work on Siryn's cape. Looking forward to seeing Banshee.
  12. Wow....they are amazing!!! Why hasn't DST done this yet? Fanatstic idea and brilliant execution, love them.
  13. I can't get over how many customs you manage to get through and how all of them are such high quality. Excellent work!
  14. Thanks! Yes, I sculpted the head with milliput onto the existing Mugato head. I cut away quite a lot of the head first.
  15. Thanks for the comments! I have just finished some DC commissions to go with Larfleeze. Have been working on these for a while! First up is Red Lantern Bleez. She has a FA Beast mask with "bat" wings from Morrigan. Her wings were made using Angel's as a base. The inner bones are sculpted and then the pieces were glued together. Her face, chest and stockings are decals. Carol Ferris is made using a Deadman collar and Raven hair. Her tiara was sculpted and her chest is a decal. Mongul is based on a 3" Star Trek Mugato. I sculpted over his wrist and shin attachment and sculpted his chest piece over the original one. The chest piece isn't removable because I sculpted onto his chest block. I added decals to his wrists, boots and chest symbol. Here's a group shot including Larfleeze. Thanks for looking!
  16. Simply beautiful, amazingly talented work. I would buy these in a heartbeat.
  17. Voted! Blown away by all the work put in by everyone on this project. Wish I had been able to put the time aside to be a part of it!
  18. Thanks everyone, I had a lot of fun making Larfleeze. Have been customizing for just over a year now and have been slowly updating some of my early customs, having become more confident at painting and scultping. At the minute I am updating my Alpha Flight customs with the help of hugely talented board member Serge Havok, who made some amazing decals for me a while back. Seriously, this guy is really good!!! He also made me a decal for a Marrina minimate which I have just managed to finish. She is a fully painted mate with Rachel Grey hair, face and chest decals by Serge Havok! I will add the other updated members when I finish the team. Serge also asked me to attempt a Brotherhood/Secret Wars Rogue, so here she is. I took a few liberties with the design, like the boots and colours. Her face is AOA Rogue and her hair is from The Spirit. Thanks for looking, and a massive thanks to Serge!
  19. Thanks for the comments, and thanks to anyone who voted for Arkillo in the 2010 customs contest! Here is my next DC commission, going to mrjasontodd who I made the Sinestro Corps and Kyle Rayner for. Larfleeze is made from a heavily modified Salaak minimate. I cut off the lower arms, trimmed and sculpted the shoulder slip-over piece, modified the hands and feet and sculpted onto the chest block to make the curved body. The head is from a Salaak head that was trimmed and then sculpted onto. The eyes, part of the snout and the 2 smallest tusks are the original Salaak features, the rest of the head is sculpted. He has taken me a while to finish, but I'm pleased that he worked out in the end. Thanks for looking!
