  1. Thanks! I got a couple of parts I have been waiting for today and have finished Iron Lad and Hulkling. Here's the completed Young Avengers, posed with the official Vision 2.0. Iron Lad has an Iron Man chest and movie Iron Man shoulder pieces. The rest of the details are paint and decals, with a tiny bit of sculpting. Hulking has a modified SI Skrull face, UXF Wolverine boots, Suspended Cap hair. I added a little sculpt to the shoulders of a powerhouse chest piece in an attempt to show his metamorph powers. I'm not sure how successful I was but the plain shoulder pieces just looked odd.
  2. Vampire Hulk is amazing! Did you sculpt the jacket/collar?
  3. Lovely work on the 3 new customs. I would like to see all 3 of those officially made.
  4. Thanks everyone. I'm looking into giving Tigra a new face decal, I think a smirk rather than a snarl is the way to go like BannersID suggested. Time has been limited for customs lately, but I have put together 2 today as some down-time. Rivalling The Hellions for the title of ugliest costume design, I give you Andrea and Andreas Von Strucker! They both have 90's Rogue jackets and AoA Rogue sleeves. Andrea has 90's Rogue face and Pepper Potts hair, Andreas has Cannonball's face and movie Cap hair. They have a clear decal placed over their faces for the masks. The chest decals were modified from the original Northstar and Aurora decals SergeHavok made for me. I know they are ugly, but I kind of like them. I have them displayed with my Thunderbolts at the minute. Thanks for looking as always.
  5. Regardless of whether Richtor and/or Shatterstar were originally planned to be a couple, I'm just glad it pissed Rob Liefeld off.
  6. Wow...did not expect Rictor or Booom-Boom. Am really pleased that we get to round out the New Mutants too, Magma especially looks great, maybe she will be translucent? This might just be me but I will swap out Moonstar's chest and gloves for spare ones from the New Mutants box set. I like team costumes to be consistent and did the same with Magik. I also hope she has removable boots instead of painted ones. I'm just nit-picking really, am very happy with this wave.
  7. Haha! I guess you're right, she does look a little sad. I am still trying to improve my skills on Adobe. I find faces especially difficult but will keep trying! I think a snarl would add a bit more character, she is suffering from the curse of the generic blank expression some female mates have.
  8. Thanks as always for the feedback. I have had little time for customs lately, but I have managed to update a few of my old customs and finish one that has been in the works for a long time. Serge Havok made me some incredible Alpha Flight decals a while back, and I have been slowly adding them to my old customs. I have also been able to add a bit more detail to them, or more accurate faces. Huge thanks to Serge Havok for the decals, they are a massive improvement on my old attempts. Aurora and Northstar have new hair and faces. Aurora's hair is sculpted onto Wasp's, Northstar's is Tony Stark I think. I sculpted the ears and the chest decals are by Serge Havok. I will continue posting the new Alpha Flight customs with new decals he made for me as I finish them. I also gave Mockingbird a new paint job to be more comic-accurate, a new chest decal and new sculpted hair. Finally, I made Tigra. I have been working on and off on her for ages. Her legs, hair and arms are from 90's Jean, the tail from Feral and her belt is sculpted. The face and chest are decals. I may still slightly tweak the face decal (I think the lips need to be a little higher and maybe need to be snarling...) Thanks for looking!
  9. Wow...what an update. Victoria Hand is great, really simple but spot-on.
  10. Really nice set of new customs. I especially like Dum Dum and Maria.
  11. Really fun contest with fully deserving winners. Thanks to Luke and congrats everyone!
  12. Thanks everyone. I have managed to finish off Patriot and Kate Bishop recently, to add to the Young Avengers line-up. Patriot has a mask decal laid over a Sunspot face. He has a slightly modified Cap belt. His chest, the little eagle on his belt and his shoulder stars are decals. I just need to make Hulkling and Iron Lad now. Unsure whether to use a bulked-up Hulk as the base for Hulking or go with a more basic mate and slipover chest piece. Advice/suggestions welcome! Thanks for looking!
  13. Wow....I did not see that coming! Amazing talent displayed in this thread. Congratulations to all the entrants, I am already agonising over my choices. Good luck everyone!
  14. Love the modified Betsy. The sleeves are great. Looking to modify my own when she arrives and I get chance!
  15. Bob, I love it! Great use from a range of mates and like Mini_Myte said, superbly detailed.
  16. I love it! Shocker looks amazing, great work. I wonder if the six-armed harness will be used again, when it is possible to do without it.
  17. Not bad! And thanks Mirymate, that explains things better than I ever could have!
  18. Well...there are a few unanswered questions regarding Wiccan and Speed. They are possibly the twin sons of Scarlet Witch (I don't know if you read Avengers Disassembled when Wanda went nuts and believed she had twins?) but I am hoping it all gets cleared up during the current Children's Crusade arc. They do seem to be modelled on Wanda and Pietro. Nope, Stature is the daughter of Scott Lang, the second Ant-Man. Was the Guthrie in AoA called Amazon? I don't think we have ever seen her 616 counterpart, but I could be wrong. I think you should rhyme in every post from now on. Edit: bobafett beat me to it!
  19. Thanks man! That's a huge compliment, as I really look up to your work. Thanks!!
  20. Thanks for all the positive feedback, appreciate it! I have been working on a set of Young Avengers for a while, and have just managed to finish the first few. I am waiting for a couple of parts to finish up Patriot and Hawkeye and should have them completed soon. Here's the first batch. Speed used Lady Loki as a base. He has a FC Havok head, and I think he has Tony Stark hair. The glasses were cut from a 24 Jack Bauer minimate. Stature has a modified Stargirl head and a slightly modified BSG Boomer hairpiece. Wiccan has a modified Angel hairpiece and FC Havok head. His tunic started as a backwards Spectre cloak and his staff is a modified Stargirl's. His shoulder piece is trimmed from a Indiemate Dawn. As always, thanks for looking.
