Ok, Im now flying up for all 4 days. I am familiarizing myself with the area using the con site and google maps, so since no one else is doing it, start PMing me if you are going, what days, and any other info we might need. And does anyone know when/where the minimate panel is this year?

Keep looking everyone. Keep thinking about how much higher the production run of tru mates is compared to local shops. There has to be tons of these in transit and coming to a tru near you.

Well, The phots are a lot larger, and most of them scaled down, I just expected them to be tiny blocks that you click on to make them bigger, I saved them large so everyone could get the detail.

The line didnt die b/c of character choices. They made the some fine choices to start. DS mates were in there to help expand the diversity of characters since SF2 only has 12 people in it, then there is super SF2 with those 12 and 4 more. They were likely trying to slowly build em up like SOTA was doing, and Sota did do it well. They got a LOT of characters out and every line had big hitters to help push it and obscure characters to satisfy hardcore fans and fill up the ranks. And please, EVERYONE I have ever spoke to about streetfighter knows who akuma is. If anything, the distribution or case packing was the reason it died. I went all over my city and kept find dimitri sets and 1 or 2 times I found the bison set. ryu was gone everywhere and i didnt get one until long after they were done. Darkstalkers should have been one per case. And as for letting this topic die, who said we only want street fighter 2 mates? I want all kinds of capcom mates. SF4 just came out, MVC2 is getting rereleased with a possible MVC3 depending on sales, and darkstalkers is getting a new game as we speak. Anything is possible. Resident evil mates or even mvc2 mates would be awesome. Why does everyone have to get their panties in a jumble on this. Capcom fighting games have been around 20+ years. The new BSG mates are supporting a show that was only on cable for 5 years. It came back, and stranger things have happened.

Thats too bad they lost the ghost rider movie license. I know they would have sold better if they did the blue demon version of blackheart and not the american beauty version.

Here are my photo's, and sorry if its too much. I just wanted to show off these great mates. I didn't want to open it b/c they look so great in the package. The white part of the flyer that's cut off is the little feedback form. Mine will tell DST that the paint on every set at my shop was messed up on the legs. As you can see, the guns (I forgot the name) can swivel. They are on a peg on the pack itself and stay on pretty snug. They also did a peg coming out of the belt for mare accessories. Peter has a cell phone and Egon has the PKE meter. These fit very snug on mine which is good since they wont fall off like blade's round spinning thing (also forgot the name) or taskmasters sword. I had a photo of them holding their belt items, but it seems to have been deleted accidentally or something. The dog legs are very tight, which is great, but they can be hard to remove. Plus all 4 of my dogs knee joints were not as tight, borderline loose. Louis is literally wearing a doggie diaper. It was a little hard to take off, since you have to remove his legs from the pegs while he is wearing the thing. I had to push the upper inner thigh away from the peg to seperate them, but it also put pressure on the calf piece. I'd recommend displaying him one way or the other since too much of this will make his joints all kinds of loose. Overall, I like these a lot, but will be more excited when I have some ghosts from TRU. EDIT: Can anyone tell me how the hell to shrink these a little so they dont take up so much room? I think you mean elbow "sharks," and yes. I'll take some photos to show you, but they sculpted a brand new claw hand with the sharks built in, kind of like the new wolverine boots. So theres the hand and when you put it in the wrist, the sharks go down to the elbow joint. Its neato. Edit: Wolverine is great, but his eyes on the head dont match up with the eyes of the mask, so if you push his mask all the way down, it can look like his head was squished. I left my mask on the head but not push all the way down and I think it looks pretty damn good.

I finally came across the entire new wave after 1 of the many TRU's offered to hold a bullseye set for me. I booked ass accross town and picked up my bullseye, then went to the shelves and found all the rest of the new marvel wave and several full sets of BSG mates. I also found out that if you are approved for a TRU visa card, you get 10% off (I think every purchase) and you can use it on your 1st transaction too! I realized that even though I have a great camera, I haven't been sharing any pics with the verse. Tell me if I loaded these wrong and they are too big or something and I'll do it more often. And here is some of the newer stuff on a shelf Edited the first time to update URL's after the photo's were moved. Edited again to tell you why I did it the first time.

So I may be getting another speed racer mate??? They had the buffy license going good for a while. And it still has good dvd sales. Plus buffy had 7 great years of tv and a current comic continuing the show, platoon had 1 movie. I think they are definately in the realm of possibility's. And yeah, it probably is personal, as George Brewer is known to suck. If I meet him at SDCC then I am going to badger the hell out of him. And seriously, I need a detailed speed racer.

Those look great! However, notice how they painted all the exposed skin on moonstone (except the face) a gold color as to not arouse the children. Won't somebody think of the children? I wouldnt, b/c as soon as I walk into TRU and see bullseye sitting on a shelf, any kids between me and bullseye are getting launched.

You are right, missed opportunity's for tigershark and dread d. Attuma as well but tigershark has a cooler look to me. Plus I forgot all about baron mordo. The movie Jigsaw mate was entirely to accurate, when I think of a jigsaw mate I think of a face based off the ML punisher 2 packs, either one since they were both great sets. And I count blade and ghost riders villains together because of their nightstalkers days. Blades only individual villains I can think of off the top of my head would be dracula and deacon frost. We also need more nightstalkers. Morbius and veangence would be a good start. edited for spelling
