Swung by TRU tonight after work... They had the regular Iron Man figure in... It was very cool looking. I was quite tempted. I thought that the Wolverine's head looked too small. Was waiting to see the Maskless one to see if it was any better... Still, really just wantng the Cap, though...

So... $275 huh? Con Exclusives should be gut-check impulse buys ($50 max), not "I coulda nearly make a car payment" moments... I just don't get it... AFX's Cylon bust is $50. So they're really going to charge $225 for the ship? I got an awesomely sweet Galactica for $6 at Wal-Mart the other day... It's not chrome, but then neither is the "real" ship...

Or 12 years old. I'm sorry. Wasn't this line supposed to be sculpted by ToyBiz still, just manufactured by Hasbro? These figures, the whole wave of them, just look like total shite. I don't know what it is, whether it's the plastic, or the paint decos, but they don't look as cool and "I gotta have that" as the older Legends do... Granted, I don't buy Marvel Legends, but if I did, I'd have to pass on these figures... Every wave that comes out, there's at least one figure that I think I'll get, whether it be because I love the character, or it's an awesome looking figure, but this wave, there's nothing...

I've updated with my entry in Fujis 2006 Moviemates contest: David Bowie as Jareth from Labyrinth. The other figure I made, but didn't enter is also there. Both new figures are in this lovely color here. It really is a nice color, particularly on this darker grey background. Feedback is always appreciated... Thanks for looking.

Here's my entry for the MovieMates contest: David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King from 1986's Labyrinth. I see the line much like the LOTR Minis... 3" Ludo, 2.5" Human figures (Jareth here, and the forthcoming Sarah figure), 2" Goblins, Hoggle, Sir Didimus, Toby, erry'ting else... This figure was a lot of fun for me to do. I'm a huge Bowie fan, and a big fan of the movie. I had a blast making the hair. I made the crystal holding hand from scratch, also the frilly collar and cuffs and the cane.

There are regular Cobra soldiers... The ones that I've seen on the show look like the Tele-Vipers (I think that's the one).... Dark Blue helmets with the half face shields... They seem to mostly be commanding the huge air ships the Cobra's using... I'm not sure if there are legit Vipers or not... I haven't seen every episode of the cartoon, because I usually sleep on Saturday mornings... It does look like there's a bigger cast this season. I saw a crappy version of the first episode from Season 2, and there were a few of those Cobras on there. Plus, we're getting the Lt. Stone figure that comes with a Cobra Soldier costume... I'd still like some helmeted Vipers, or some Crimson Guardsmen, but I'll settle for the one that we're getting. Hopefully they'll release the figure of them soon... I'd hate to have to army-build with a $15 Lt. Stone figure...

I saw these (actually just a regular Wolverine...) at my local TRU this past weekend. They're hitting retail. I think it was $14.99.

I do have the Ninja Cycles. They're alright. A bit too large. Lots of weapons, and a neat play feature with the "hover" function. If you can get them for under $10, I'd say go for it. I'm hoping to pick up a couple more when they drop the price once again...

Glad that you like the Long Range... He was technically my second figure. I got him and the first Duke at the same time, but opened LR first, because I was more jazzed about that rifle... I finally got the Night Ranger Quad ATV with Duke figure yesterday at TRU... It's a pretty cool buy. For $20 you get the ATV which launches four missles, has a working suspension and tons of equipment & a Duke figure. It's been a lot of fun shooting at the cats... I also picked up another Sky B.A.T. for the army... It was a good weekend.

Hey. Thanks for the pics Shanester. I'm really looking forward to the new figures. They can't come out fast enough for me... Sorry the 'con was lame. I've always envisioned these as being pretty cool. Hopefully I'll get to go to one myself one of these days.

That pissed me off when I read it. I was upset that they cancelled JLU. It was the most solid, orignal show that Cartoon Network was airing outside of the Adult Swim block. To read that they cancelled it just because they could put it into syndication was heartbreaking...

Well crap... I can't seem to find my copies, but I think they're only on issue 3 or 4... Jimmy Olsen was just in the newest issue. It was pretty cool. I really do like this book. It's such a fun read. Addition: I found it. Issue 4 is the newest. Just came out a couple weeks ago.
