Do we know what the SDCC thing was all about yet?

I figured the people checking this thread would be the only ones possibly intrested in the idea of trading Anime and Manga, so instead of starting a new thread in the flea market or add to the sell/trade lists I have done this here. If the mods decide this is a bad idea or in the wrong section, let me know and I will delete or move it. Here is what I have, all DVD's are sealed in original package and region 1. I used to collect these when I was a kid. I hope they keep with the old school weapons with the minimate sets. Glad to see these coming back.

It is true. I am Canadian. I do check every week to see if us Canadians will be getting anything soon. But sadly it looks like all the action figure money is going towards blockbuster films and video game characters.

In one way I strongly agree and one way I do not. Don't agree: How much do you care about your job if you are getting minimum wage? really though. I find that for the most part, people only care as much as they get paid. There are many exceptions though. Strongly Agree: I find that for every three TRU stores, you will only find one employed "geek" who will know what you are talking about. Sadly I work at a TRU and most of the other stores I call to make sure they have stock or to do a transfer, they have no idea what I am talking about.

Firstly ,I am more than pleased that you have these but I am a bit confused who found them? Did you find them or did your fiance find them ? Please check my unedited version of the events Finally ...& please be very careful ....although I am never judgmental....did your fiance or your fiancee find them? BHM, you crack me up. As for the other part, I would have found them first had she not been staring down spock like he was her personal pleasure slave. I like to say I found them, but will give her a little credit by saying she saw them first.

Got a sweet haul yesterday on a trip to Northern New York State! Two full waves of TRU BSG and an extra Starbuck pack. For non mates, I got a copy of Totoro with the slip cover (the slip cover is very rare) and a bunch of anime figures on clearance from three different FYE's.

Well, I took a trip yesterday to Northern New York and stopped at the closest American TRU store. I called the day before to see if they had the BSG mates in stock and after being on hold for a short period of time I was told that they did. I guess they just got the case. When I finally got there all I could find was three packs of terminator. Then my fiance found all twelve of them on the Star Trek endcap. Needless to say I purchased eleven of them without a secomd thought. I am just crazy happy to finally have them, and even more happy to have found them myself (something about the 'hunt' for toys that I like). One thing that kinda sucked but was awesome at the same time was there was no Marvel mates at the store. Looks like they are selling there just fine. Sorry to any collectors around Clay who were looking for these. The only pack left is the Adama/Cylon pack.

"they have no control over what they receive" They do have no control over what they carry at store level. Do you think they put in an order form each week for what they want like a comic shop? You also need to understand that hours suck at retail and that it is hard to fit in the amount of work their head office demands, right? You also understand that the toy ailes are filled with a lot more toys then just minimates right? You are sounding as if the only action figures in the stores are minimates. Instead of saying thanks to TRU America for having more minimates on the market. Which is how we have more BSG, and Marvel exclusives where you don't need to have a credit card (or your parents card in some cases) or pay crazy shipping charges for packages that are damaged half the time (looking at you afx) you complain that your store does not get them in when you would like them to be in. Do you think Target would have done a better job? They need to get them in at all stores around the same time? Are you saying that all TRU mates need a release date? Which would mean that the store that gets four trucks a week needs to wait for the tiny store that gets one truck every two weeks to get them in stock before they can sell them? I highly doubt that TRU stores outside the states will carry minimates. Are they going to order direct from DST? DST does not even sell from their own site to outside the states. They will have to find a third party to order through, perhaps Everest Wholesale. Must suck to be a collector of minimates living in the country where all the exclusives are released. Good job with your rant there, just leaves more mates for the rest of us. Good luck boycotting the only retail chain that decided they would care about the minimate market. (For the time being anyway) Before you argue that FYE, Target and Walmart also carried mates, they no longer do and TRU was the only one to revisit the line.

Does your TRU have a night crew to stock the shelves? Did the truck come in today and the stock we be on the floor tomorrow or will the truck be tomorrow? In that case you may be showing up a bit early. These economic times make it so that store workers become "jack of all trades" where the people who unload the trucks are the same who put the stock on the floor who are also the same who get called up to do cash. Anywho, hope you get them. Good luck.

Maybe he just heard them wrong. As far as I know it is just an action figure. 7" Cylon, but not sure what type of Modern Cylon. Even the teaser pictures of the box set only show an action figure. Minimates would be awesome though.

This is just a litttle call out for a lil help. If there is anybody buying extras of Starbuck to have more flight suits, I would be very interested in buying/trading for her hair. I need it for a custom I am slowly working on. Thanks for any help on just the single part. Also, Does anybody else think that because this lined has life again that the SciFy booth ths year at SDCC will have another BSG freebie?
