RGB wave and boxset - This was one of my favourites shows growing up, so I'm keen to see what they do. With the various ghosts, the various versions of the GBs (any chance for the possessed clothes and "Human Busters" versions?) and Janine as both a secretary and GB, they can go a long way with this. Battle Beasts have interested me, but the price tag on the exclusives have kept me well away. I'm keen to see what new sculpts can come from this. I'm hoping Guardian Warriors is going to use the pirates and may be a "banner wave" that will allow for other (for want of a better phrase) warrior class based minimates. I'd love to have knights, samurais, pirates, vikings and just about anything else (bar Ninjas; Luke does some awesome ninjas on his site) duke it out on my work desk. Alas there is the issue of both my wallet and being UK based but I've had help from members here before in getting the TRU exclusives so I hope I can count on them again.

Sorry for double post. A new deconfirmed list has popped up: Megaman EXE Rogue Psylocke Strider Hiryu Captain Commando Jin Saotome Saki Omokane Black Cat Gouki / Akuma Venom Carnage Doc Ock Very dissapointed about the ones in bold. They were some of my favourite characters in MvC1 and 2, especally Strider and CapCom. Frankly ignoring the possibility of DLC correcting this awful mistake, with this de-confirmation I'm loosing a lot of interest in this game. I dont get why they have to keep deconfirming characters, especally the ones players want!

Personally I prefer to fight like a gentleman . However I am karamazov80's side - the available characters, especally the more obscure Capcom characters are what interest me in the game. I would love to see them really spice up the roster, like they did with MvC2 (Sonson, Ruby Heart, Jin etc.), bring in more obscure characters from their main franchises like Talbon, Tessa and Oro and heck, NOT reject the idea of Power Stone and Rival Schools. I want this to be Marvel vs Capcom, not Marvel vs Street Fighter 2 with friends like CvsSNK2 was.

I'll DEFINITLY enter this contest. What daggers did you use for Suhe the Shadow and will you be offering the completed versions on your store at some point in the future?

While I don't know the legitimacy of any of these sites, that looks a bit fake-ish to me. Would Capcom be so cheap as to not even include little pictures of the heads of each character? Of course, I'm hoping your link is wrong, because Hawkeye and Iron Fist are definitely deal makers for me (and possibly deal breakers if missing). I agree, but apparently it went online before the Jill/Shuma Gorath announcement which is why the website's owner posted it. On the other hand, his next update had the official select screen (identical to MvC2's) so maybe it is a fake that happened to get it right. As mentioned, in hindsight I like your list better (bar the lack of Cap Com ) due to the inclusion of an Onimusha character and Tessa and lack of Howard the Duck. Dio - I'm afraid Dr Strange has been deconfirmed. He may appear in closing cinematics and fingers crossed DLC.

I've always felt FireFly and Dr Horrible's Nathan Filian would make a greta Hal. There's a fan made trailer on YouTube with clips of him spliced in and IMO it looks great. Ryan... I dunno. He could work but he seems more jokey Hal than cocky Hal. HOWEVER, a picture of Parallax has leaked and looks pretty awesome IMO.

According to the Fighters Generations, the final roster will look like this. While I am happy to see Hagger and Strider on there, the lack of Captain Commando is a shame as he was always one of my favourites in both design and playing style. Ms Marvel and Spider-Woman are both great choices for Marvel but I don't get WHY we need Howard the Duck. I'd have also prefered a SF3 charatcer over Bison so we have the "one from each number SF game". I'm actually dissapointed Gill has been added to the "We're not using him" list. I always felt his power level would work well against the Marvel lot. That and I take great joy in pounding his face before he gets back up. Of course, DLC may fix this. And as great as the 56 from MvC2 were, there were a lot of clones in the game. I mean what WAS the difference between Bone Claw Wolverine and regular Wolverine again? And War Machine was just a pallet swap with swapped weapons (lasers where IM used missiles and vice versa). At least so far MvC3 has more variety.

I second youbastards' list in a heart beat, unless those four come with some sort of "variant" style change that help set them apart from the four I already have (bar the food decal on Slimer). I'll save my money for RGB thanks all the same.

I didn't read Shadowland, but this is probably the first wave in while where I can see myself wanting to buy ALL of the minimates announced. Granted I can't say I care for Elektra as a character or a minimate, but Iron Fist and Daredevil are two updates I want, White Tiger I know next to nothing about but I'm willing to show my support and I'm loving the Hand Ninjas and will probably spend a small fortune getting a good dozen or so. Here's hoping they'l come with dozens of ninja accessories I can pass around to my other minimates, especally the custom ninjas I bought from Luke's store. I agree a lot with this statement. I don't mind Spidey variants IF IT'S NOT THE SAME FRICKING RED AND BLUE COSTUME!. I've said it before and I'll say it again - DST is killing my love for that costume with the hundreds of variants! If you want to make Spidey, fine, I have nothing against that. But I LOVE the Ben Reilly, Scarlet Spider and 2099 costumes, and IMO all three need to be re-done, especally the last two as I feel they lacked too much (web bracelets, hoody chest and leg pouches for Scarlet and a the cape and maybe "talon hands" for 2099). However... I also agree with that. Why not throw it in the modern age heroic boxset? I mean if I were to get both (as I want the Thor from both boxsets and Iron Man and Cap from the modern one) I'm going to have the same Spidey from both boxsets and I hate that. Surely Big Time would work well then. An updated Luke Cage would have worked well IMO. Still, all in all April seems like too far away (but at least I'll be able to save up ).

Curses... That might be hard to track down. I supose a Captain Britain face might work though. Alternatively I have a spare DA Sentry face...

Definitly making my own version sa Quasar is a great character and I have about half of what I need lying around in my parts box . Was it Silver Age or X Factor Angel you used?

They actually look really good. Am I right in thinking the blue on Spidey is actually black? I know some artists have doing it as red and black and I've been wodnering if we'd ever see that on a minimate. Not so sure about Bucky's face (the teeth look a bit off to me), but I do like that costume so I may swap the head. The new base for Thor looks great as well. If anyone's in a position to help a Brit get this, please drop me a message

They look alright, but considering as how some of the developers behind Uncharted worked on the awesome Legacy of Kain series, I know which franchise I'd rather see in minimate form

Arthur is a great addition and personally I think we need more classic characters like him. Spencer is alright but I agree with others who view him as a Scorpion rip off. To me MODOK is the new Shuma-Gorath - an obscure villain I personally don't care for and will only use for 100% completion. Nice to see Magneto is back as well. It's also been revealed that the Symbiote, Iron Spidey and new Black and Neon-Green costume will be available for Spider-Man. While I have nothing against the three announced (with Iron probably being my favourite ofthe bunch), I'd have rathered we got 2099 and/or Scarlet. Ahh well.

Great minds think alike. I considered the Ma Hunkle cape a while back, but was put off by the size. Plus I will need the blue paint to fix the belt as well as the cape. Still, it is a good suggestion and I will consider it. M. Bison would be PERFECT though. While I am aiming more for the "inverted Superman" look, I have also considered doing his classic look as well, maybe on the other side of the torso piece. Either way I'm tracking down a dupe as we speak so thanks for your suggestion. Couple more customs, though these are more me experimenting with my parts box: Cyborg Thing I've bought a couple of parts bags from Luke's store and over time built up a collection of classic Cylon parts. I messed around with them and a duplicate Thing minimate and came up with this. It's nothing to special, but I like how it looks. I feel it fits in well with the Things character, as it makes him less of a human and more of a monster. Civilian Rhodes I managed to get my hands on a second Rhodes in Mk2/Black Widow pack, as I wanted the armoured parts for my parts box and the web bracelts to modify my Scarlet Spider. However, after arranging a trade with boyd I also decided I could make a "Civilian Rhodes" style minimate. Like Cyborg Thing, I like this mate as I feel it's a good use of spare parts. I have him stand with my other Iron Man movie mates and to be honest I don't think he looks out of place. However I have also thought about making a "Rhodes in Iron Man" style minimate so this may go back into the parts box. Misc Minimates While I'll admit I went with a theme for Cyborg Thing and had Civilian Rhodes in mind, these were just made by me messing around with my parts box. Ted is easily my favourite of DC's "Human" superheroes (screw you Batman! I think you're overhyped , and by human I mean people who aren't in some kind of mecha suit but rather have to rely on a few gagets and their own wits and skills to survive), and I feel would work well as a member of the Fantastic Four, should Marvel and DC ever do some kind of combined universe (I always liked those). When I noticed the belt and mask had similar colours to one of my dupe Mr Fantastic minimates, I knew I had to make it. The Superman mate is semi-inspired by the classic scene from JLA/Avengers and the guy on the right is just various parts thrown together, btu I like his look. And finally: Fired Up Nova OK I didn't make this custom. I saw him on eBay about a year or so ago and I've been meaning to post him here so others could mimic him. The recipe is reallt straight forward - everything from the waist down, hands and fireball accessories from Gold Age Human Torch, everything else from Wave 23 Nova. Enjoy

I've been really into SF recently thanks to Super Street Fighter IV and really wished we got the un-released wave. Heck, I saw a Gulie Minimate on "Guile's Theme Goes with Anything"'s entry on Know Your Memes. Just wish we could have gotten the awesome Lee Brothers Yun and Yang in Minimate form.

The Excalibur boxset looks great, though I am a little dissapointed we're not getting one of the more classic memebers like Pete Wisdom. As for the new TRU wave, I can't say it appeals to me much, but they look great for fans. But on the topic of dropping LCS for TRU, I hate that idea. I'm a UK based collector and find the hoops I have to jump though for just one or two TRU sets a pain. I don't mind it on an infrequent basis, but in the long run I prefer to support Luke and his store.

Not too sure about Thor's face, which is a shame as I'm more than happy to buy the awesome Reborn costume again.

Spoken like a true Brit... Captain Britain through the ages next? To be honest I'm liking all the ones on offer here. I wasn't sold on Reborn at first as I got the recent TRU exclusive, and would have prefered an update on USAgent. However it does look pretty good...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll pass a message to him next time he's online (he lives about 160 miles away :/). If you don't mind me asking, what would you suggest to match the red on Mar-Vell? I picked up some Red Gore last time I saw him, but in hindsight (especally since the switch to Marv's legs) I think it's too dark a shade.

Same here, plus the new Cap looks alright so I might get them loose. However I'd take a second Bucky Cap, second Reborn Thor (hasn't he recently donned a pair of gloves? (though I do have a second Reborn Thor in my collection with gloves so I am covered)), Bleeding Edge Iron Man and something OTHER than Classic Spidey over what we have here.

No probs mate. I couldn't really take all the credit I agree. I really like his costume and I'm really fond of the "inverted Superman" look he had during New Krypton, though I get the feeling I'm the ONLY fan, lol. Yes, though I had to double check. I won a lot with about a dozen or so Star Trek mates in. I've never followed Star Trek so I never bothered with the mates on their own but they have been useful for parts. I have thought about using a different face, but so far not really found any in my parts box. Just a quick update; while looking at various minimate sites, I realised wave 31 Mar-vell's blue and red pants would save me a lot of work on painting Mon-El, so time for a quick upgrade. This does mean I'll need to re-paint the cape to match the blue on the pants (though as you can see from the shot, the paint has been chipped off. I was an idiot and didn't leave it to dry properly, causing it to stick to the board...). Finding the right shade has been a pain (especally when it seems to be light blue and scarlet in one comic, then darker red and blue in another) but I really like the red and blue on Mar-vell. Any tips on how best to go about getting the right paint would be appreciated. I also picked up a second Battle Damaged Superman so I could give Mon the correct belt. It will need to be painted and this being my first custom minimate, I am a little scared to do it as I don't want to ruin the belt. Fortunatly my best friend collects Warhammer, so I'll ask him for advice. I'm not too keen on the hair or the face but nothing in my parts box seems to match up right. I do have a spare movie Sandman and od feel his hair would work (with a bit of paint) but with the current face, Mon will have a huge fivehead. I have thought about maybe doing a face decal as well as the chest one. Either way, the next setp is to find the right paint and FINALLY look at making the chest decal Oh and unmasked Mar-Vell doesn't mind his current pants, but would prefer his old ones back.

That Dusk custom is awesome . Any plans to do the rest?

I appreciate if this topic might be better off else, so please by all means feel free to merge, close, whatever as needed. I was working on my Mon-El custom earlier after noticing Wave 31 Mar-vell's legs, being "naturally" red and blue would cut about half the painting and re-painting I need to do. I then decided to pose him next to my Superman mate so I could take some photos for here, my blog and a very wip site, when I noticed he "refused" to stand on one of the numerious BrickArms stands I've picked up over the last year. However Superman, along with other DC mates in my collection, had no problem doing so. I took their feet off and realised Mon-El's was a little bit smaller than Supe's, but enough for the "C3 hole" to have shrunk to the point where it wouldn't fit comfortably on the stands. I was wondering if a) anyone else have notice this with feet and noticed other small changes in minimates. And slight tangent, I know Luke has listed some smaller transparent stands recently which I've been meaning to buy. However in light of the "smaller feet" issue, does anyone know if they'll work where the BrickArm stands have failed?
