Hey Guys, I peiced together a Alan Scott custom that I wanted to do all without painting.. Ocean Masters Cape Someone's Blonde hair Hals Head DareDevils chest and so on.. I've been looking for a clear and clean classic Green Lantern chest logo to print on a sticker and stick on his chest (over the DD) I found a faded crappy one that just looks bad.. Anyone have any ideas? ah man.. I wish I had the talent to bust a sweet custom. I don't like the painted look so maybe if I get the supplies needed for decals that would be the way to go. I'll have 3 extra Green Women from this wave so I guess I can experiment. Not Captain Kirk type of green woman experiments.. but the custom type. Sick minded mini freaks!

Totally agree, Light Daggers would have been perfect. Like I mentioned before, it was a little weird opening the box to see just two minimates and not a single extra piece of anything.. Maybe a 2nd cloak would've been nice. One for standing and one for encompasing things/people.

True Words. It's nice to read DD's comments that he has wanted the return of Hal and Barry since taking the helm at DC and finding Geoff Johns with the passion to do it was a perfect fit. This story has been so much fun, all I can think about is all the cool minis that could be made.. I'll have to settle for 6" or 8" characters (or whatever the scale they use). Now I'm curious to see if Hal may be wearing a different color uniform for a short time.....

Yes, they both have the exact same guns (shoulder canons). The head peice and some minor armor changes are the only differences between the two. -Vox

One small disappointment on this wave is the lack of extras. The more I think about it I know that these characters don't really have a bunch of extra stuff they tote around with.. but I think I've been spoiled by how much bonus stuff has been showing up lately. The 2 silver guns are nice.. but maybe another head peice for Spymaster or.. I don't know.. something more... It was very weird opening Cloak and Dagger and seeing nothing else in the package.. I can't remember the last time I opened a minimate pack quite like that. I know, I know, what else would you put in there? Just random thoughts.. Still excited for the new mates (obviously). -Vox

Picked em up last night, So Sorry I won't be able to get pictures until tonight. I ended up buying a case just to make sure and get the Rhodes Variant and I was happy to see the shoulder cannons are in there! (I was seriously worried at first because they are underneath the minimate in the packaging so I couldn't see them at first. Overall VERY nice quality and paint on everything. Love seeing Cloak & Dagger! I always enjoyed their Spiderman Team Ups as a kid. On a sad note, darn LCS sold the Tarantula Variant.. I was so ticked. Any of you that know me, know I LOVED the DC Minimates. Finally having Sinestro, Star Saphire & Hal Jordan was a Minimate Dream of mine since I first saw Marvel Minimates many years ago. Well, if there are any others out there that are even a little interested in Green Lantern you gotta check out the currect running story involving the "light wars" with the Red Lanterns and others. My first take was, "oh great, now every color in the rainbow has a Corps of ring bearers", but seriously the story is deep, layered and connected to much history in the DCU. This last issue left me extremely interested to see what comes next.. This is just another thing in the long list of things that makes me wish DC was still doing Minimates. I'd love to see a Sinestro Corp Sinestro, a Saint Walker Blue Lantern, Ganthet, Atrocitus the Red Lantern, Agent Orange, and any other wacky color weilders out there as a minimate!! -Vox Lantern

My goal for Minimates is to last long enough that they are no longer a choking hazard for the baby and future little Vox's. So another 6 years would be awesome! Seriously tho, this has gone on and on and I have loved them since around wave 3. Very happy with my collection.. tho it is hard when talking about the end of a line to not start thinking wish lists. hard choice for me between deadpool and gambit.. I went Deadpool because of the City of Heroes custom "Deadpool" character I created and I wasted some fun hours of my life playing as. Twin Blades, Teleporting and Healing ability.. very fun to play as. -Vox BTW, any pictures of any of these yet? I've only seen specs on Deadpool but nothing else.

Great Thread! :biggrin: I've been looking forward to the War Machine Mini for years.. so glad its finally close to happening. So if I don't find the variant, can I put an extra Rhodes head (from the movie) on the Tony War Machine and be all set? I guess there are still some differences in the suits.. but I just have to have Rhodey in the suit. Do you guys think these will look best with the movie versions or which(if any)of the previous Iron Man releases? And as a side note, I met some of you at Comic Con last year (2007) and this is a good group of collectors. Long live the Multiverse and long live Minis! -Vox

That picture of all the Stealth Iron Men is awesome Karamazov (I want to call you King Hippo). My wife (married this year so she is still relatively new to the mini craze) asked me why in the world I purchased 2 Stealth Iron Man packs.. I think I'll show her that picture and offer the white-lie that those are all for one collector. I can't wait to see what hits TRU next!!! Maybe a rework of the Rhodes War Machine so he is an easy character to get!!

It would be REAL cool if there was a way to have an official minimate made however you like. Kind of like how Nike and other companies have a website where you can pick color, style, logo placement, etc on a pair of custom shoes.. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a web site where you can pick, mix and match together your customized mini? AMEN! I really hope they pull a frosty ice man on us and switch the variant before release. Rhodes should be the standard war machine and Stark the variant. Now if we just knew a solid date for their release...

. I think they intentionally released it late, so that it would be a surprise. Also, I went by the BR TRU tonight. That place is so garbage and it doesn't even know it. No Minimates. A surplus of incompetence, however. Man, I gotta quite reading the board at work.. I start laughing out loud at gems like this and then everyone looks to see if I'm You Tubing or something. OK, I poked a pin hole through the helmet so I can put the face mask on. I found that the hole had not been punched through at all so I had to create the hole with no guidance. The mask will go on now without being on the mini head peice.. but when I place it on the mini it pokes out weird. I know I can just keep poking and cutting.. but is there any recourse if I just want a new one that has the holes factory made? Thanks, Vox

As I sit back and reflect on the awesomeness that was the TRU surprise, complete with Stealth Iron Man Movie Version, I can not help but dream of what it would be like to have another surprise hit us this week with a DC box set! I know DC is dead.. but a man can dream.. Kyle Rayner with a Santa Hat Alan Scott with a see through green flame attachment The Atom with a minimate hand sized version of himself to shrink to Black Canary with swap out black wig with a big ol' Doomsday in the center with boney protrusions going everywhere.. Now imagine walking around the corner in a Toys R Us and having that puppy staring you in the face. ha ha, i'm in such a good minimate mood, I'm letting my mind wander a bit today.. Vox
