Meh. I can't really think of any many spidey-variants that I'm looking forward too (Man-Spider is really the only one I'd like to see made and I don't see that happening). Also, the last goblin mate is great and the glider from Menance works just fine with the goblin. Hopefully, the rest of the wave will have something new and exciting.

We're up to 38 waves (hundreds of marvel minimates if you add everything up) and we have lamo characters like Menance and Spymaster but still no Brotherhood of Mutants.

WOW! This set ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be. I will definitely pick one up.

Found them this weekend as well in NJ. (YEA! go Jersey first to get something in for once!) Picked up a full set and a Warthog. They are well done but definitely not for those who prefer simple minimates. These are very detailed and bulky compared to marvel, etc.

Warthog is listed back in stock at TRU.com. Come on who's feelin lucky?? place an order and see what you get. If you even get anything.

TRU.com strikes again. Just got the dreaded cancel email for my Warthog order. Funny how it goes from being listed "In stock" to they never had it at all within a day.

Nice to see the Hand Ninja is a more "classic" design. Other than Iron Fist's hands (which can be replaced with some extra Rocky hands) I think this wave is great and will gladly buy 4-6 Hand Ninjas. Yea I'd rather have an updated Luke Cage over Spidey-Tron but at least it's an interesting variant.

It looks like Thing will have the same mis-matching color issue like the TRU version (hopefully not as bad). I wish they would stop using the black-wash on the Thing figures. They can't apply it to the face so it never will match. Rest of the wave is lookin good.

When Art Asylum shows the packaged pics on their website it usually takes 5-6 weeks to show up in stores. They showed the TRU 2 packs, boxset and Warthog all in late Oct so that puts for a early/mid Dec release. Currently Amazon lists the Halo boxset for a Dec 1st release and the Warthog for Dec 8th.

Looks like the 1st boxset and Warthog have been delayed. Amazon now lists their release dates as Dec 1st and 8th.

Got mine today in the mail as well. It definitely makes up for the disappointing Heroic Age set. Every figure is great (WWII is my fav, he's just badass) and I'm really liking the new cuff/shield holder piece. My shields also had the large amount of tape residue when I took them out of the package. However use a little goo-off/goo-gone and it will come right off.

My set arrived from TRU.com and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was shipped in an actual box with padding. Way to go TRU! Overall I found this set to be disappointing. Thor is the same with a screaming head so he has all the minuses from before. Iron Man's head looks disproportional with the body due to the slip on mask. Also, the details on the arms are only on one side leaving the rest plain gold. Spidey suffers from the same fate as Iron Man with web-details missing on his arms, legs and torso. If Spidey had full web-details he would have been great. Bucky-Cap is nice since I prefer the partial mask over the slip on version. Hopefully this will sell well to parents/kids during the holiday season. It seems to be aimed more for them, than collectors.

I got the email as well. I now eagerly await the delivery of my multipack in a stomped-on padded envelope that was squashed into my mailbox.

Thanks for the tip everyone. I was able to get this set and the Heroic Age. Although neither was in stock at the same time so I took the double hit for shipping. It's still easier and cheaper than driving around trying to find them.

I was able to find these while on a business trip earlier in the week in CT. It's definitely a mixed bag for this wave. Reed, Sue and Storm are all excellent and welcome updates. Moleman is missing the chest details shown on the package and the Moon Knight cape while it looks great, makes him impossible to stand. I think I might trim the cape some and glue it in place. Thing is just horrible with the head/face being the only good part of the whole minimate. Doom, Namor and Atlantain are all good solid mates but kinda dull/unnecessary. I would have preferred choices like Ronan, Annihilus, Terrax, Moloid or even the Amazing Bagman.

still no consideration for Songbird?? arrghh. Maybe it's just me but I'm not feelin the current direction DST has the Marvel line going. I'm looking for villains, never made before characters and interesting characters. Instead we're getting things like a third namor, third psylocke, menance/lady loki/, doom#87564, another x-force wolverine, boring looking new mutants set, etc. Give me things like the wrecking crew, zemo, black knight/tigra, alpha flight, crossbones & brotherhood of mutants.

The new Fantastic Four wave is now up on TRU.com however none are in stock except for Reed/Doom. There's only one Reed/Doom set available so I doubt it is in stock either. Also, listed are the universal monsters but they too are not in stock.
