  1. I feel right now that we're kind of coming off of a "sugar high" for minimates. We had so much new product shown to us between Toy Fair and the summer conventions, and now that the "high" has worn off, we're back to waiting week to week on more mates....with more great stuff on the way. It's almost overwhelming compared to the last several years of minimate collecting, when there was virtually nothing. I really need to get my act in gear and post some pics. I've got Doc Brown and Marty trying to explain to Dr. Doom the concept of a flux capacitor. I can also have my minimates duke it out to determing who the bigger dick is: Superman, Biff Tannen, or Col. Tigh (hint: it's still Superman).
  2. Cool, I just checked the forum for the first time in a week and saw stuff is getting shipped out. I love getting stuff in the mail *fingers crossed*. I took part in the Target promotion, and I'm a radical, so I should be on the same list.
  3. The first minimates I ever got were some of the ones on clearance at Wal-Mart. I think it was Spidey/Rhino and Iron Man/Dr. Doom, but I'm not 100% sure. I bought them to go with my TF Alternators, but quickly got addicted. My next purchase was the 10 pack at TRU, then a Giant Sized X-men online.
  4. Throw in a Black Knight and Black Widow and we'd be all set. A niced themed box set of Black Panther, Knight, Widow and Black Bolt should be made. The packaging would be orange just to be ironic-like.
  5. I got my replacement hairpiece for Rocky in today. This looks much better than any of the substitutes I had tried. Thanks DST!
  6. I sent them an e-mail too. The Rocky mini-mate needs his hair! Right now, he has borrowed Robin's hair.
  7. Nice. That Kirk looks so awsome. I will have to get two of those, just because I love the look on that face. Very mischeivious.
  8. I also went with the hotwheels type display turned on it's side. I really like the "clean" look it gives me, and I don't have to worry about the mates falling over like dominoes. It is tough to get good pictures though, the case has a mirrored background. Here are a few pics: Marvel mates DC mates Galactus max Sentinal max wide shot I've ordered my third of these cases now, I should have it any day. I've got to put the BSG mates somewhere.
  9. That Hobgoblin is just pure love. Finally, my favorite Spidey villian gets the minimate treatment. Scarlet Spider is okay, but he's just a Spidey varient to me (we already have Ben Reily). These can not come out soon enough. So many minimates...
  10. Here are some I'd still like to see Vulture Scorpion Shocker Hobgoblin Jean Gray Phoenix or Marvel Girl Regular Angel (feathers) Deadpool Cannonball Jubilee Dazzler Gambit Mr. Sinister Any Thunderbolts Moon Knight Purple Man Wrecking Crew Generic Kree and Skrull Annihilus
  11. I'd love a Great Lakes Avengers box set.
  12. Correctomundo! Your question now...
  13. Alright, I love Daredevil, so here we go with a Daredevil question: What was Daredevil's father's boxing nickname in the comics?
  14. I think Juggernaut did join the X-men in the 2000s. I think he is (or was) in New Excalibur. I think Mimic was the first non-mutant X-man.
  15. I don't know if Transformers would really work as minimates. TFs are supposed to be big and bulky. I think if they were made, they would be more like the current Robot Heroes. It would be cool to have the humans in Transformers as minis: Spike, Sparkplug, Carly, Daniel, Chip Chase...Shia Lebouf, etc. But if DST could somehow latch onto Star Wars, that would be all of the "major" licenses covered, really. GI Joe and He-man would be cool, but licensing from toy company to toy company would be something that the corporate bigwigs at Hasbro and Mattel would never go for.
  16. The ninja would probably be pretty simple. It could be all black or all gray, and give it some creepy yellow or red "Batman" like eyes. A belt or a sword would be nice too, but maybe out of the question. I'm new here, but I would certainly be willing to contribute.
  17. Woo! Got my free mini today. I got the 2005 WW Chicago white blank. Thanks DST/AA!
  18. I've had a pretty good expierience with stuckakid, as has everyone else. The problem is that they sell out too fast for my tastes. JRstoyworld has started carrying the latest releases of minimates, and they are probably about as good as stuckakid on service and delivery turnaround.
  19. Put me in the camp of Wonder Woman with a broken left knee joint. I was able to fix it with some glue and a lot of patience.
  20. Yeah, I think if Madrox were to be done, he should be in the old green costume with the dots on the chest. Maybe a trenchcoat for spice. I'm a big fan of the classic comic looks, especially the X-men. *hugs blue Cyclops*
