The problem isn't so much the product itself as it is the company and the douchebag running the show. The product is ok - they certainly aren't up to minimates, kubricks, fluffits or stikfas standards IMO, but they're ok for what they are. Some of the concepts - 4 arms, 4 legs etc (all thought of by members of the company forums btw - not by the 'brain' running the company) were good ideas that could easily be taken and applied to other, superior block figures. Another problem is the company presence (spam) on message boards. If your opinion isn't 110% positive, then your views are sh!t and you're "biast" against the company and the product. IMO, they're worse than Mattel when it comes to learning from past mistakes.

FYI Gamestop is having a huge sale. 50% of selected new games on all platforms. UMD movies for PSP are $4.99 each. Way too many titles for me to list them all. I got Katamari Damacy (sp?) and Sould Caliber 3 for PS2 - $10 each. I also picked up 8 brand new DS games for the kids. I spent a little more than $100.

I would suggest looking at your local Target/Walmart/etc for this set though if you do decide to give it a go. It is part of the wave that's currently shipping.

Any chance of Shogun Warriors minimates to go along with your filing for the Shogun Warriors trademark? How does this work with Bandai and Tomy both co-owning rights to the Shogun Warriors name currently? Which is better - Jumbo Robots or Spiderman?

They look pretty good. One thing stands out though - I don't think Black Adam wears a cape. Other than that, good job!

Fujis - Get a Wii if you want to pick up a game and just play without getting too involved. Don't get me wrong - there are games with storylines you can get into on the Wii, there are just more casual games (Wii Sports, Wii Carnival, Wii Play, Rayvin Rayman 2, etc) on this particular console. Get a PS3 if you want to get involved in a game and play it for days at a time. (Also the blu-ray aspect of the ps3 is something to consider if you're into HD movies.) Now, I want to know where I can buy the "bath in chocolate pudding and run around town buck naked duck taping barcodes to peoples butt cracks" game. Anybody got a link so I can order it online? (If gas keeps going up, I may just buy a moped like I've threatened my wife with all these years...)

No. Its true. I gazed deeply into my Mysterio mate's crystal ball head and it confirmed the 2012 end of the world date. Course, it also said the Ghost Rider movie 'mates would be released by the end of this year and SF 'mates would be coming back sooner than we expect, so take that for what you will.

I think you're referring to the Sub Cultures Create-a-Mate line. They were 3" mates (IIRC) designed by, well, pretty much anyone who ponied up the $ to get in. Ultimately the concept was to release them as a line of artist/fan designed mates. Unfortunately it died on the vine. I'd have paid big $$ for some of the designs - especially the Evan Dorkin ones. Fujis wrote a good article about the contest and how it died for MMHQ a couple of years back. You can read about it here More info is available here.

I guess it depends on your view of Wolverine. I'd be ok with getting a Wolverine in his Japanese robes (is it a kimono for men?), AOA Wolverine, feral bone claw Wolverine, 1st appearance Wolverine (in a boxed set with Wendigo and Hulk, natch), Weapon X Wolverine, Patch Wolverine (not in the tux, but in the brown jacket & jeans), and last, but certainly not least, the black & yellow costume Adam Kubert drew Wolverine wearing (really, just a reverse image of the blue & yellow IMO). If we could get a clear mate with an adamantium skeleton printed on it (or floating inside) that would be the cherry on top. Maybe Chuck will read this and give us an all Wolverine wave soon...

I'm wondering about one of the WWE rings. Specifically one for the Micro Aggression line. I don't know how close the Micro Aggression figs are scale wise though. Here's one. If you end up going this route, be sure to post pics and let us know.

Just a heads up for Wii owners. Buy.com has a Wiimote recharging station on sale for $9.99. I signed up for Google checkout and got 2 for the price of 1. Shipping is free. IMO this is a deal! They come with batteries adn they plug into the USB port on the back of the Wii. That'll make keeping the 'motes charged SO much easier for my kids!

The sculpts are good - it's the paint apps that kill the line for me. I have yet to find a Red Tornado without sloppy red paint apps on the yellow bits of his costume. Little things like that will keep me from investing in a line like DCUC. As much as I enjoy some of the characters they're putting on the shelves (and kicking DCD's @ss by doing it I hope) if Mattel can't get their qualit in line, then I'm not putting my $$ behind the line. Not to mention the horrible distribution Mattel is constantly plagued with. I still haven't seen wave 2 at retail. Poor paint apps and sh!tty distribution earns this line a "no sale" rating from me. Mighty Muggs from Hasbro on the other hand.... Lord help me if I find the Indy Muggs.
