Seriously, up until last year I bought every Marvel Minimate made and I still don't have a complete Giant-size X-men team. After 10 years of encouragement I have to conclude DST has serious motivation issues.

I wonder how much Toho input DST is getting on character selection. I've read about them being rather...particular with other licensees.

I remember way back after Star Wars figures returned in the 90s, the Q&A team would get asked about putting out an Imperial Shuttle. And they said it wasn't possible because The Tooling. Then years later lo and behold there was an Imperial Shuttle on retail shelves. I'm not saying Chuck lied, I'm just saying tooling issues have the ability to resolve themselves when someone decides they need to.

To be fair, that's cropped. The original image has lots of feet. I don't think that's Liefeld's art. If it is, the inker gave it a very "house" look.

Perhaps they were underwhelmed months ago as well. Debuting pictures of no new characters surely wouldn't change that.
