  1. I didn't really want to post spoilers, but I figure some others may want to know what's going on too. Here is the summary of recent events from Wikipedia (Note: The second link contains spoilers for Civil War #6. If you haven't read it yet, be warned, especially the West Coast people.): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_four#Civil_War http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_civil_war#Synopsis
  2. Here's the cover to one of the upcoming issues of Fantastic Four. I guess Marvel is trying to keep the new team a secret by throwing us all off. Let the speculation continue! http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/FF/NewFF2.jpg
  3. Well I am pleasantly surprised. I really don't know what to say, other than a simple "Thank You" to all that made this possible. Really, I don't know what else to say...
  4. I don't know a good answer for you but remember back in the olden days when those small plastic green army men were popular? I think it may be something related to that. I had some when I was younger and they entertained the heck out of me. Sometimes all a kid needs is just their childlike imagination (I'm not saying you don't have one, minivenom ). The cuteness factor doesn't hurt either. I can understand why it doesn't appeal to some people. I saw them at Target, they caught my eye, was about to buy a set, but then stopped myself when I realized I couldn't do much with them myself. If I was younger though, I think these would appeal to me more. Personally, I'm just spoiled by articulation and wanting more from toys. I probably will get a set, but it will have to depend on character and how that character translates to the Superhero Squad mold. On a side note, I'm very shocked a Spider-Man figure was not in the two waves. Honestly, that's the most probable figure that I'll buy.
  5. They may call it Devastator, but it's just a repaint of Maximus. http://www.seibertron.com/toys/gallery.php...e=0&start=0 It is greatly better than the original just due to the color scheme, but I still can't call it Devastator since it's a repaint of something else. Plus, I don't like the hands. I guess I just prefer the original Devastator look. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Constructicons.jpg I didn't like the look of the Megatron gun figure at first since it looked too much like a toy gun and not more like the image below: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1d/Megatron2.jpg But I eventually just bought it and I really like it. It's the best we'll ever get of a gun-mode Megatron outside of Japan.
  6. Sure! But try these at your own risk: 4 8 15 16 23 42
  7. FYI, the TRU SKU# is 744209. I haven't had any luck yet, though.
  8. DPCI: 087061165 Apparently the case breakdowns are 8 per case with two different sets in each case. They also seem to have two hanging shelf spaces at the few Targets I saw, so that's good for visibility. I went to a store that said they had 8 on the computer and the storeroom person said they only had the two AXM sets. I went to another Target that is bigger and the computer said they had 16. They weren't on the shelves again so I had to ask for them using the DPCI number since they toy sections in my hometown in the Bay Area are still recovering from the holiday season. I didn't bother asking what the other sets were. I think the case breakdowns kind of suck since if a store gets one case and it's not the one you want, then you're screwed. If anybody noticed, a couple of interesting name changes in the variant Sentry and Luke Cage's names. On the back, it says Vault Escape Sentry where it was known as Raft Sentry in the regular series and Luke Cage is now Powerman.
  9. The manager at the comic shop I go to (The Comic Gallery in San Diego) told me that quite a few people called up the store in the morning asking for the Cylons, particularly cases of them. I wonder if anybody here asked. Anyway, she asked me a while ago if I had any interest since no one else expressed any and I passed. I should have said yes since I would have gotten at least one and some others who called would have gotten some too. They were only allocated one box of each and those cases were already taken up. I'm sorry if it was anybody here I screwed over. Even if you're not a regular there, feel free to preorder from them anytime.
  10. Wow. Well, I think we got what most of us wanted which was a big chested Juggernaut. A bit late, though... Was Darktide doing so well to justify a "new printing"? I honestly didn't think so. I wonder if this is a Target exclusive. Anyway, I can't believe Juggernaut got a big chested makeover before the Hulk.
  11. Whoa!!! That picture of the castle on the booklet was probably my favorite set that I owned. Well, mostly because of the knights in the set. Man, I need to dig up my old lego stuff now. Last I know of, they were all disassembled in two large gallon ice cream tubs. I miss that blue knight with the funny bullet helmet. And the motorcycles! Thanks Shane, for bringing back memories of the good old days.
  12. Does DST even have the license for the Spider-Man 3 movie? Wouldn't surprise me now due to X3 and Ghost Rider Minimates. My understanding is that movie licenses are seperate entities from the normal Marvel license, and how the movie licenses become a part of official waves baffles me but I'll accept it since I'll blindly buy it anyway. If they do have it, we're getting a movie black costume Spidey. Otherwise, the loophole will have to be grab-line black Spidey! But honestly, if we don't get a movie version of black Spidey, I think DST will cave in eventually and just reissue the original black spidey. Times change and one can't always adhere to the rules of the past. Maybe they will also update Venom to his current look in the comics with the human eyes. I just hope something is done with the Spider-Man 3 movie, that's all.
  13. Hey, C3 feet and the diamond shaped spine (instead of the circular one in the older waves) constitute a whole new figure, right?
  14. I encountered my first problem with the Wii last night. In Wii Sports while it is loading, it has a longer delay than usual and then gives an error that says that the disk can't be read. I couldn't find a good solution. I tried turning off the system and letting it cool off for a little bit and it kept doing the same thing. It was like this for like 5 minutes, but it was finally okay afterwards when I just ejected the disk and put it back in and it continued where it left off. Kind of scary.
  15. Neo, isn't your arm sore yet? Mine is somewhat sore due to Wii Sports (mostly Tennis), but I didn't play that long on Saturday.
  16. The latest ones posted are from the DC solicits... Can someone throw up a link to the original images? I am unfamiliar with the whole 'solicitation' thing and where those would be. You can find them at the official DC Direct website. But I normally see the solicitations on comic book websites like at comicbookresources.com and wizarduniverse.com. Typically, the full solicitations from DC (comics and toys) become released on Mondays of the 2nd or 3rd week of each month. Marvel follows with their solicitations for their comics on Tuesday right after DC (no minimates in their solicitations since they are a DST thing). I wasn't too excited about the line-up for wave 4 at first, but the images are somewhat winning me over. Well, I just like Bane's venom tube thing and Steel with his hammer!
  17. Mister Cage has a solid head. No hole for the peg on the top of his head like the prototypes that we've seen. However, the box still shows a hole in his head. Well, I think it's solid. Maybe I'll try poking his head with a toothpick to see if it's hollow just for fun. No, that's torture, I can't do that. Nevermind.
  18. I don't necessarily see any of the quality issues mentioned being extremely bad, except the Sentry's missing belt. My perception of these figures is that they are fine. They are not perfect, but when I opened them all and played with them a little bit, nothing bothered me much other than the stiff legs on my Chase Sentry. If anything, AA will probably fix these issues if they are rereleased at Target. I'm a happy camper, but I can understand why the issues are brought up.
  19. Hey XManRCJ, if you didn't tell me the knife comes out, I wouldn't have known. It takes a little bit of effort to take it out. I had to take out the upper torso to get a good grip. I think the same happened with me on the Punisher figure. I didn't know about the knife until someone said something about it. Man, it's been a while since we've had some minimates, huh? One more note of caution. My Chase Sentry's legs were rather stiff. Brought back thoughts of Nightcrawler, but I gently jiggled it around and eventually it got loosened and wasn't as stiff as Nightcrawlers. No other stiff legs on my figures.
  20. I guess it make luke cooler now that he doesnt have the hole cool to know chase gets a good belt lets see a pic of chase Well, I just noticed that the chase doesn't necessarily get an entire belt either... Normal Sentry: belt semi-painted in front, painted on sides, not painted on back, "S" is not painted in Chase Sentry: Belt only painted on front, none on sides or back, "S" is painted in with light yellow for glowing effect
  21. I never thought that Ronin figure looked bad before in prototypes and it looks fine to me as it's in front of me. Just a matter of tastes, I suppose.
  22. I decided to make time to go to the comic shop. Normal Sentry: belt is still messed up Chase Sentry: belt is fine Luke Cage: no hole in his head
  23. Sorry, I don't know if I can go to the comic shop today, unfortunately. Too much homework...
  24. How can you catch them? They just teleport you to the the homepage! Smart creatures. They've won this battle...
  25. Are you serious? No tricks! Just mini treats, 'mate! ::crosses fingers hoping Sentry gets fixed::
